Plenty of butter and a huge slice of chashu make this place the best! Around 10 people were lining up in the narrow alley at 10 PM. When visiting Hokkaido, late-night ramen is a must, so I decided to try this popular spot. The miso ramen was delicious, ranking as one of the best I've had.

This business trip was all about miso ramen, and I decided to visit Mogura-san, a popular shop with long lines. I ordered the butter corn ramen and gyoza. The gyoza was so juicy and delicious that it reminded me of xiaolongbao. However, the ramen was not really to my liking.

I came to Sapporo and wanted to try miso ramen, so I found some free time to come here. There wasn't much of a line, so it was easy to get in. The miso soup had a sweetness to it, but it was also a bit bold and straightforward. The chashu was huge, which I thought would be popular with foreigners. The curly noodles were salty, the kind of miso ramen you crave after drinking alcohol.

Corn butter miso ramen for 1200 yen. As shown in the photo, it is quite a large portion. This one bowl will definitely fill you up. The butter and corn were plentiful and delicious. As for Hokkaido-style miso ramen, it was just average. The lack of air conditioning in the restaurant made it extremely hot. I don't think I will revisit during the summer.

Original Sapporo Ramen Mogura is located at the entrance of the New Ramen Alley. I ordered the same miso ramen as the tourists who came to Hokkaido. The chicken broth soup with large chashu, menma, and a good amount of leeks was slightly oily, making it THE Sapporo Ramen. It was very delicious. I will definitely visit again.

The butter corn ramen with gyoza and chashu is large. It has plenty of corn and underneath the chashu, there is some stem seaweed. The sweetness of the butter is not very noticeable, and I couldn't quite figure out the base flavor of the soup. I thought it would be better if they made it miso butter. The gyoza is hot, but personally, I prefer a soy sauce that is a bit stronger, so I found it a bit lacking. Next time, I will try the miso flavor.

Sapporo Ramen Alley, which I rarely visit despite living in Sapporo. It's been about 30 years since I last went. The entrance has a large mole statue. The chashu covering the bowl makes a big impression. The soup is gentle but has a deep flavor that is satisfying until the last drop. The chashu has little fat and a nice texture and flavor, which I prefer. The vegetables are crunchy and perfect for finishing off the meal. Thank you for the delicious meal.

When traveling from eastern to northern Hokkaido and arriving in Sapporo, you may feel overwhelmed by the number of tourists. Trying to find a ramen shop, you wander through the crowded streets. Heading towards the famous "Sumire" shop, you are met with an excessively long line. Oh no, this won't do! Quickly walk past it. As you cross the Susukino intersection, you spot the neon sign for "Sapporo Famous Spot New Ramen Alley". Let's just randomly pick a place around here. The alley has five ramen shops. Any of them will do... so you decide to try the one closest to you. The recommended dish at this shop is Butter Corn Ramen for 1200 yen and Gyoza (6 pieces) for 600 yen. Huh? Aren't the gyoza a bit pricey? As someone who has eaten at chains like Osho, Manchurian, and Jyoto, it feels a bit expensive. Laughing. Butter Corn means the soup is miso-flavored. The saltiness is just right, and the melted butter is especially delicious (^O^). The corn is plentiful, and the best part is the large chashu! There are even two slices (*^o^*). The noodles are thin and slightly curly. Overall, it's a tasty miso ramen, but not mind-blowing. Especially at 1200 yen... hmm. The gyoza is nothing special, just average. And yet, it costs 600 yen. Hmm... definitely too expensive. Laughing. Later, you realize there was another alley called "Original Sapporo Ramen Alley" with many more shops. It's too late now... ( ̄▽ ̄)

After receiving a recommendation for the classic miso ramen, I decided to visit Ramen Yokocho after a long time. I ordered the miso chashu ramen without much thought, and was surprised by the size of the chashu covering the surface. It had just the right amount of flavor without being too oily, so I was able to finish it even after drinking the soup. The curly egg noodles were also good, but personally, I wished the soup had a bit more punch. The buttered corn is also recommended.

Umakacchan! The sautéed onions added a nice sweetness to it! However, the chashu was a bit lean and dry. But maybe it's better this way to avoid feeling too greasy and getting indigestion. I also want to try the restaurant next door!

**Must visit here!** A representative of Sapporo miso ramen genre! Located right in the heart of Susukino, a long-established shop in Sapporo's famous ramen alley. The recommended dish is definitely the "Butter Corn Ramen", a dignified bowl that has been loved by people over the years. The balance of the nostalgic flavor of miso soup with the sweetness is exquisite! A small delight that surpasses impact. **<Featured Menu>** The following are especially recommended! Please refer to the posted images and comments. ☑ Butter Corn Ramen (1,200 yen) **<Closing Remarks>** I had been curious for a long time, so I went straight to Susukino upon arrival. However, the inside of the shop was so hot and dangerous... The tattered posters and signed color papers with "even XJAPAN's YOSHIKI loves it" are powerful words!

Original Sapporo Ramen Mogura-san. Soy sauce ramen (900 yen) It's been a while since I visited Mogura at the New Ramen Alley. After a fun gathering with like-minded friends, we talked about how the chashu here is huge, so we decided to visit. It was great to see the cooking process from the counter. The soup is made from chicken bones, and the ramen comes with a large chashu, plenty of green onions, and a good portion size. The soy sauce flavor is just right, with a bit more oil, making it THE Sapporo ramen. It was incredibly delicious. I will definitely visit again.

The shop is located right in front when you enter from the alley next to Susukino Police Box. The interior has only a counter with about 20 seats, quite spacious. I ordered the Butter Corn Ramen (1,200 yen) which is said to be loved by YOSHIKI, and a bottle of beer (600 yen, my first time ordering one in my life). The ramen had slightly thin curly noodles, and the chashu was generously sized, almost filling half of the bowl. The corn was just average. The soup was lighter than expected, not too rich, so it was easy to drink. Ramen preferences vary, but personally, I found it to be just a decently tasty ramen. The staff worked efficiently and it was a pleasant experience. Thank you for the meal! ✨

At 9:00 PM, I asked someone who was in a long line, and they recommended this place for miso ramen. I followed their advice and lined up. When that person entered, they shouted, "Soy sauce ramen!" (laughs). The miso ramen was really delicious. It was so good that I forgot to take a photo.

I didn't eat a lot of miso ramen, but the miso ramen at this shop felt very traditional. On a Friday night around 11 PM, there was a line. About 10 people were waiting, but the turnover was fast. I hesitated about adding butter, but I was already full so I decided not to. But I think it would have been good to add it. The broth was not too light, but not too rich either, making it easy to eat even after drinking it. The chashu was large and thin, which wasn't really to my liking. Payment can be made on the spot with PayPay after eating, which is convenient. Thank you for the meal.

Entered the restaurant at 2230. The place was full. Let's wait for a table instead of entering on our own. Butter Corn Ramen for 1200 yen, Classic beer for 600 yen. It's been a while since I visited Ramen Yokocho. Every shop is bustling with customers. That's a good sign! Soon, we were seated. Started with a Classic beer to wet my throat. Apparently, even X Japan's YOSHIKI has tried the Butter Corn Ramen here. So, let's follow suit. The dish arrived in about 20 minutes. It was delicious. This is the true Sapporo Ramen. The soup, made with white miso, was light and creamy, with the butter adding richness. The thin, large slices of char siu were satisfying. The yellow thick noodles never disappoint me. The corn was tasty too. I wouldn't eat corn on ramen anywhere else but in Hokkaido. It was so good. I want to have more. Thank you for the meal. I will come back again.

Located in the first spot of Susukino's New Ramen Alley, this ramen shop stands out for making each bowl in a wok. Their signature dish features large slices of chashu pork and offers a nostalgic taste of Sapporo miso ramen. It turns out that this shop is run by the descendants of the founders of "Aji no Tokeidai." The ramen was delicious and brought back memories of classic Sapporo miso ramen!

The perfect way to end the day is with "Mogura" and miso ramen. Living in Sapporo, it's not often that I get to visit Ramen Yokocho. It feels like I'm a tourist. Even though I'm already full, I end up ordering beer and miso. Drinking beer from this half-cut glass is so delicious. ^_^

I had seen this restaurant on TV and was curious about it. It seemed like a popular spot recommended by celebrities. The location was great, which seemed to attract customers on its own. I started with the soup and thought, "Hmm??" This must be the taste of Sapporo miso ramen. It claims to be the original, but I wonder what that means. Well, everyone has their own preferences when it comes to miso ramen, but it didn't suit my taste. It seems like they have raised the prices by about 200 yen in the past two years.

This is the second review from my morning visit to Motsu. When I was a child, I used to live in Hakodate and would come to Sapporo to play with my father 2-3 times a year. This restaurant holds nostalgic memories for me, as my father would always take me here. When I was a child, there weren't many places in Hakodate that served classic Sapporo ramen, so I always looked forward to the rich, salty soy sauce ramen with medium-thick curly noodles. It had been about 19 years since my last visit when I came at the age of 20. I ordered the soy sauce ramen and it arrived in about 3 minutes since it wasn't too crowded. The large slices of chashu were still a prominent feature. I remember it being very salty and rich when I was a child, but after living in Sapporo for over 20 years and getting used to Sapporo ramen, it didn't taste as salty to me now. It's amazing how getting used to certain flavors can change your perception. As an adult, I don't get as easily surprised by food experiences as I did when I was a child, but I still thoroughly enjoyed the delicious and authentic Sapporo soy sauce ramen. Thank you for the meal.
