Today, I had lunch at Go Go Curry while out and about. It's been 4 years since I last had Go Go Curry, so I was really excited. Thank you for opening a store in Sapporo!! I've been waiting for this for so long! There are many other restaurants I hope will expand to Hokkaido, but I'm really happy about Go Go Curry opening in Sapporo. The restaurant was named after Hideki Matsui, who is from the same hometown as the owner and a big fan of his, with the number "55" as inspiration. When I first encountered it, I was truly shocked. It's been over a decade since then, and I still crave this curry regularly without getting tired of it. However, since moving to Hokkaido, I haven't had the opportunity to eat it at all, so I've been feeling lonely. But now I can have it anytime. First, I bought a meal ticket at the ticket machine in front of the store. The default menu here is the Chicken Cutlet Curry (M) with extra curry sauce on top. Inside the store, original songs play in the background like at Don Quijote (Go Go Curry♪♪ Go Go Curry♪♪), and the sound of the Go Go Curry channel from the TV mixes with the music. This atmosphere is unique to Go Go Curry. After waiting for 7-8 minutes, it was brought to me! Go Go Curry!! Ohhh! This! This! The pitch-black curry unique to Kanazawa is divine!! In Tokyo, if you order extra sauce, it comes in a separate bowl, but in Sapporo, it seems like they pour it on from the beginning. I started to get excited about everything, from the fork exclusively for Go Go Curry to the curry bowl. I took a bite right away. This is it! This! The rice piled up like a levee with a firm texture, covered with curry sauce, the chicken cutlet topped with sauce, and fresh shredded cabbage on the side. Just looking at it made my satisfaction level skyrocket. The curry is not spicy at first, but gradually starts to make its presence felt. The cabbage is also refillable, so I asked for it three times and savored each bite. Soup curry and herbal curry are delicious too, but this Kanazawa curry is at the top of my list. It still maintains the quality that won first place in the curry, rice, and water (iced water) categories in a curry feature in Tokyo Walker. It was a very satisfying lunch after a long time!
