Sapporo 10 on March 3, 2023. "Sushidokoro Nishitsuru Gojo-ten" had a change of location, so starting fresh. Starting with a Dewar's Highball. Here are the appetizers. The appetizers at the sushi restaurant are enough to fill you up. Salted crab innards, a delicious treat. Sweet vinegar-dressed greens. Grilled white fish, tasty. Sashimi platter, specially ordered. The red flesh of real tuna, silky smooth and delicious. The horse mackerel sashimi is also delicious. It's said to be from Aomori in Hokkaido. Marinated mackerel, also rich in fat and delicious! Horse mackerel, finally got my hands on some! A white fish with a good amount of fat, delicious. Botan shrimp, well-prepared and easy to eat. Fresh shirako, rich and delicious. Sea urchin in seawater, for 1,200 yen. An incredible taste without using alum. Marinated mackerel, delicious marinated mackerel that's irresistible. The careful way it's prepared, with just the right firmness, makes it exquisite. I think this was tuna red meat. I can't remember what this was... Was it saffron cod roe? Anago, recommended with salt. Anago, eaten with the claw. Cod roe, a bit too salty. Salmon roe, large and delicious pearls. Tamagoyaki is just a sweet treat. Fried oysters for 1,150 yen. Delicious fried oysters, very satisfying. Enjoy it with tartar sauce for a happy meal. Just drinking normally with two people, the total was around 27,000 yen. I stopped by because I was feeling a bit hungry. Inside, there was a long counter in the back. They had recommended Hokkaido-style sushi, including tuna and other types. They were all delicious with quality toppings. They also had Dassai sake, which I enjoyed. However, they mentioned that the service could be very slow depending on the situation. The chef said that if a large group comes in, the sushi for customers at the counter will be delayed. I had placed an additional order, but upon hearing this, I decided to cancel and left.

It was a delicious sushi restaurant that stayed open late into the night. We were served herring and sweet potato as appetizers, and the herring was incredibly delicious. We ordered herring, tuna, medium fatty tuna, and yellowtail sushi, and all of them were delicious. It was a casual and enjoyable experience, and the chef was friendly. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

At midnight, I always go to Nishitsuru as usual. I can't eat much and I hardly remember, but for some reason, I always end up going (laughs). I always order the Tekka Maki with cucumber, and they cut it really small. The head chef always knows what I like.

The delicious sushi had a fluffy and airy texture, with a nice balance of rice and toppings. The sushi set of 10 pieces was a bit too much for one person, but they were willing to change the toppings for me. However, they added extra charges without informing me. The set included fresh oysters, scallops, surf clam, medium fatty tuna, botan shrimp, snow crab, yellowtail (replaced with salmon roe), sea eel, and thick tamago. They did not offer a one drink minimum, and it was okay to just have tea. If you want to drink alcohol, there is a cover charge. The appetizer for the day was corn tofu and edamame tofu.

On this day, perhaps at the third restaurant we visited, I suddenly felt like trying Hokkaido sushi, so I ordered it without much thought. I don't recall the specifics, but compared to the expensive and delicious sushi in Tokyo, I was surprised by the taste at this price point. It wasn't about the preparation or the way it was made, but simply that the ingredients were delicious. And the sake here was strong! It was a night in Sapporo where I could fully enjoy the alcohol! I was with a senior colleague, so I only have a few photos, but I'll leave them here.

I had sushi at the first place, but ended up stopping by here at the third place. I remember a few years ago I also came here after having a drink. My stomach is full, so I'll have a light recommended sake and a few pieces of sushi like horse mackerel, blackthroat seaperch, sea urchin, etc. It's definitely delicious. I heard there is also a branch in Ueno, Tokyo, so I'll try going there next time. *By the way, it seems the Yurakucho branch is currently closed.

I have been to this restaurant several times. The atmosphere is welcoming, the prices are reasonable, and it's a comfortable place to be. The service is also very good. The taste can vary depending on the sushi chef, so it's a bit of a gamble, but it's always delicious. I also sometimes order delivery, and even then, the food is very tasty.

The owner of the shop is too kind. The appetizers, main dishes, and everything else besides sushi are delicious. It's also possible to smoke at the table. Enjoying a drink while looking back on the day, and finishing with sushi and grilled fish. This is the perfect way to end the day!

This is Nishizuru Gojo-ten. What kind of image do you have of Nishizuru? I've used it a few times, but the okonomi is quite expensive, right? It's not a high-end restaurant, but it's not a casual one either. It's positioned in the middle. In my mind, it's like eating a few pieces of sushi as a finale after drinking beer. Today, I'm using it for both drinking and dinner. First, I ordered a "draft beer (Ebisu)" (660 yen), and the otoshi is "sakura sesame tofu and yomogi tofu". I definitely want to start with sashimi. I ordered the "sashimi assortment (ume)" (2,310 yen). It includes shark flounder, octopus, tuna, salmon, and sweet shrimp. The fatty salmon was delicious. For the second drink, I switched to sake. I ordered "Kunimare Hokkai Onikoroshi" (720 yen), which is a refreshing dry sake. Next, I tried "Harushika Super Dry" (720 yen). It was my first time trying it, and it was delicious! Should I also have tempura? I love tempura. I ordered "spring vegetable tempura" (1,070 yen) which includes udo, takenoko, fukinoto, kogomi, and taranome. There were many first-time spring ingredients, and the slightly bitter taste of the spring tempura was amazing! After drinking and eating, I received the check and decided to have nigiri. Looking at the prices, the unit price is indeed high. I ordered "fresh mackerel" (550 yen), "golden eye snapper" (980 yen), "fresh sea urchin" (980 yen), and "fatty tuna roll" (600 yen). The seared "golden eye snapper" from Rausu and the generous portion of "fresh sea urchin" were delicious. I was satisfied with everything, but it's still expensive. Maybe it's better to just have a little bit as a finale after drinking? If you order what you like, it can add up to a significant amount. The chefs and the female staff on the floor were kind and likable.

Saikaku has a wide variety of dishes, a decent number of seats, and stays open late, making it convenient to visit. I come here occasionally because they have multiple locations. The prices are a bit on the high side, but I guess that's expected given the location and the fact that tourists also visit. It seems quite busy, so reservations are probably necessary. The photos are a bit mysterious, with only two of them, both showing shells. I think I also had other dishes besides sushi. The taste is just like any regular sushi restaurant.

I stopped by to kill time before catching my bus home. I had two shochu highballs and a handful of sushi, including salted flower conger eel. The service and food at Nishitsuru were consistently good. It's nice that the prices are clearly displayed. The small side dishes that come as a service are surprisingly nice. It seems that sea urchin is in short supply this winter, as the prices are higher. The conger eel here is reliably delicious. I forgot to take a picture, but thank you for the meal!

Good day everyone! Today, I had plans to meet my friend at 8 o'clock, but I finished work earlier than expected, so I had some time to spare. I decided to stop by a sushi restaurant, but both of the places I usually go to were fully booked. Hmm, I wonder if there's a spot available somewhere for that group. Let's try "Sushidokoro Nishitsuru Gojo-ten". I made a reservation over the phone and was seated at the counter at the far end in no time. I consulted with the waitress and ordered the Kiku set. The elderly chef asked, "At the counter?" and the waitress replied, "He's alone, so just do it for him" in a hushed voice. It seems like it's a special menu for those seated at the counter. Thank you, waitress. First, I'll have a beer. Squid cartilage with sea urchin, tuna, sweet shrimp, and flatfish sashimi. Chawanmushi. Grilled silver croaker with white miso. Tempura of pumpkin, small fish, shrimp, scallop, squid, and shishito pepper. Seafood gratin. Nigiri sushi with tuna, flatfish, sweet shrimp, scallop, squid, salmon roe, and flying fish roe, 7 pieces in total. The Kiku set costs 3850 yen, with a good variety of dishes. It's a great deal. The taste is similar to the oasis of Japanese cuisine in Hokkaido, "Tonden." The elderly chef was not very friendly, though. Two beers, one glass of white wine, with a 5% discount from Susukino Communication, came to a total of 5800 yen. It was indeed a good deal. Thank you for the meal!

There are quite a few sushi restaurants in Susukino! I had the special eel liver with Hakkaisan Daiginjo sake. The prices were not too high, just average. It's a good place to casually stop by and have a little snack. The eel liver had a slightly strong smell.

I was unsure where to go that day, but we went to a place where we could enjoy anything together! It was delicious, and I felt so happy. The restaurant had a variety of dishes that we each liked. The salted sea squirt and mozuku vinegar were especially tasty. Thank you for the meal.

After work with my coworkers, we felt a bit hungry and were looking for a reasonably priced sushi restaurant. We happened to find Nishitsuru, which is usually full during dinner time, but luckily had some empty seats this time. It was my first time visiting. We started with delicious simmered saury as an appetizer. Then we ordered a sashimi platter and decided to try the unusual shrimp mayo dish, which turned out to be surprisingly tasty for only 580 yen. The sashimi was all fresh and delicious. We also ordered crispy salmon belly, which made us crave for some white rice. Lastly, we ordered some nigiri sushi, with tuna being our favorite. The chef kindly explained each type of fish to us, which was a nice touch.

I visited Nishitsuru Sushi as the last stop on my business trip to Sapporo! This restaurant is located in the Susukino area and stands out with its easily recognizable exterior. Despite it being close to 10 pm, the restaurant was still open, making it a good choice for those looking for a meal late at night. The exterior of the restaurant gives off a sense of tradition while being inviting. Once inside, there is a counter seating area where you can watch the chefs at work, as well as tables towards the back. We were seated at the counter as walk-ins for two people. The atmosphere was lively with mostly groups of diners or solo male customers. This was our fourth stop of the night, so we were already quite full. We decided to order something special to end the day, and the saltwater sea urchin stood out. Although slightly on the pricier side, it was incredibly delicious with no fishy aftertaste, just a rich and flavorful taste. Nishitsuru Sushi offers a wide range of options from sushi to drinks, making it a reliable choice for any occasion. Overall, it reminded me of the atmosphere at Sushizanmai. Thank you for the meal!

On holidays, I love eating out. Even during the pandemic, I enjoy dining out. It's easy to get into popular restaurants. I was surprised to see tamago (egg) on the menu, but it wasn't that great when I tried it first. I think tamago is best enjoyed as the last course of a meal. I went late at night, so the sushi rice was just okay. However, overall, there are many menu options and everything I tried was decently tasty. I didn't have high expectations, but the drinks were just Sapporo beer, which was a bit disappointing. It seems like the menu is also created by Sapporo beer, so I wish there was more emphasis on the alcohol selection.

I finished an important task and checked the time, it was just before 11 PM. I wasn't extremely hungry since I had a light meal while taking care of the task, but coming all the way to Hokkaido and skipping dinner would be lonely. Some places were still open despite the request to close by 10 PM in certain areas, so I decided to take a look around. It was surprisingly lively, but as someone who doesn't do well alone, I passed on places that required interaction with staff and places with rowdy drunk customers. I enjoy drinking alone and savoring the local drinks, so I found a sushi restaurant with a counter section separated by partitions. There were some drunk customers around, but the distancing measures seemed sufficient, so I ordered a classic beer and sashimi for starters. I quietly toasted with the appetizer, and as the sashimi arrived, I started to enjoy my meal with small sips of beer. I added some fresh sea urchin to the mix, a must-try in Hokkaido at this time of year. The hot and creamy texture of the sea urchin was complemented by the cold beer, preventing me from burning my mouth. I also ordered some buttered potatoes, which filled me up nicely. Finally, I had the sushi chef prepare some sushi for me, and I left the restaurant feeling satisfied. I think I was a good customer for the restaurant in terms of both time and money. Sushi restaurants are known for their clean and hygienic counters, and the staff were talking about how the best hidden gem is in Susukino! It's a bit ironic considering the situation with self-restraint measures.

An acquaintance came from a distant place and requested seafood and sushi, so they visited! Despite a train delay causing a 30-minute late arrival from the scheduled reservation time, they were warmly welcomed, leaving a good impression from the start. When making the reservation over the phone, I was recommended to reserve a course meal and a calm tatami room, so I chose the tatami room! As soon as we entered the restaurant, there was a row of counters and a room at the back that was a tatami room. To sit facing each other in the tatami room, there were acrylic boards on the table for COVID-19 prevention, allowing us to comfortably take off our masks and enjoy our meal. The course meal started slowly after we sat down, and when it came to the timing for the sushi, the staff came to us according to our pace, showing their exceptional service and hospitality. The highlight was definitely the freshness and melt-in-your-mouth texture of the sashimi, especially the medium fatty tuna. It was outstanding. My acquaintance who came from Kansai was also impressed. This time, we reserved the Bamboo Course for 6,000 yen, and we were extremely satisfied with the portion size and taste. Next time, I would like to enjoy a meal at the counter while chatting with the head chef.

"Susukino revolving sushi" just sounds amazing... On the last night of my business trip to Hokkaido, my boss took me there. It was an omakase course, where one piece of sushi equals three or four regular weekday lunches... I'm approaching my forties, but I can't help but feel how poor my metaphors are... The sushi just keeps coming, one after another, and they are all so delicious! I was served thirty pieces of sushi that I had never seen before (;´Д`) My stomach was about to burst! The clientele was different from the usual places I go to, and I couldn't tell if the prices were high or low. It was a truly valuable experience. Thank you for the treat, boss!
