On May 3, 2021, I went to Ristorante Cafe Before in Obihiro for the first time in 6 months. The restaurant is located in the city center, next to Rizotteria Kobatoya and on the 2nd floor of Parkville. The exterior has a three-story brick wall, while the interior is spacious and very stylish. I arrived at 6:10 PM and the menu offers a variety of Italian dishes such as courses, appetizers, mains, pasta, and pizza. I ordered the chef's choice pasta (spring cabbage in tomato sauce), the chef's choice pizza (Quattro), and some ham and Doritos. The ham was cut by the master chef himself and tasted delicious. The pasta was simple but tasty with sweet spring cabbage. The Quattro formaggi pizza had a thin crispy crust made by the master chef and rich cheese toppings. The atmosphere was great, and the owner chef was friendly and fun. I will definitely come back to try their Aqua Pazza or course menu next time. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience at Ristorante Cafe Before. Happy Oneko Day! Today, I believe that what I can do is to support food and beverage businesses by being extra cautious. Let's all work together to give them a boost! Tonight is the second day of my friend night debut, so I'm going out for a light meal after having dinner earlier. I tried to go to a Hokkaido Nagaya, a northern food stall open on Sundays, but all the shops were full. Luckily, a friend recommended Ristorante Cafe Before for Italian cuisine. It's located in the heart of Obihiro, next to Lezotte Ria KOBATOYA, on the second floor of Park Ville. The exterior is a three-story brick building, and the interior is spacious and very stylish. It was 7:37 PM, with one customer already there and one coming in after me. The menu offers a variety of Italian dishes, including courses, appetizers, mains, pasta, and pizza. I ordered the Pescaatore for 1,400 yen and the Gateau Chocolat for 500 yen. The Pescaatore was delicious with ingredients like red shrimp, clams, mussels, squid, snap beans, bird's eye chili, and parsley, creating a flavorful seafood broth with a hint of spiciness. The Gateau Chocolat was rich and not too sweet, making it very enjoyable. The owner chef, who was friendly and fun, runs the place alone, and the chic interior and good atmosphere add to the experience. I look forward to coming back to try dishes like Acqua Pazza or the course menu. Thank you for the delicious meal!

This is the fifth bar we've visited in Obihiro, and we're still going strong. My wife and I can handle our drinks pretty well. The fifth bar is "Ristorante Cafe Bene" on the second floor. It's quite fancy and can even be rented out for parties. The place is spacious and there were no other customers except for the owner, who was engrossed in watching a Chinese movie. We sat at the counter and ordered some wine. The owner was chatty and served us some appetizers, including monkfish garlic tempura. The bill came out to be quite expensive at 3,800 yen, but we had a good time. My wife probably didn't think it was too expensive. We forgot to eat the appetizers, and when we were leaving, the owner told us about the special ingredients in them. It was a unique experience, and we left feeling a bit guilty for not fully appreciating the food.

Well, since the second place was a snack bar like the first place, I didn't feel like asking the bartender for another drink... My friend K Rin was planning to join us from the second place, so we decided to visit Bene. I had been to Bene for lunch before, but it was K Rin's first time. It was past 9 pm, and I sat at the counter while K Rin, who looked cool drinking alone, sat comfortably on the sofa. I ordered a glass of white wine for 650 yen, and K Rin ordered a blend coffee for 450 yen. As a snack, we got blue cheese and honey bruschetta for 650 yen. We toasted with our drinks and enjoyed them. The white wine was easy to drink as it was chilled, and the blend coffee was just average according to K Rin. The appetizers included octopus with balsamic vinegar, tripe, and macaroni with mayonnaise. The seasoning of the tripe-like dish was still acceptable. The blue cheese and honey bruschetta that came after about 20 minutes had a strong honey flavor, creating a unique balance with the blue cheese. Overall, the pasta and other dishes I had during lunch were okay, but since there weren't many reviews and they showed me a bottle of "MASI" wine at first, I had some expectations. It's a good place for girls to chat over a meal, as K Rin mentioned. Thanks for the meal.

After the company's year-end party, my wife and I visited a restaurant in a building in the center of Obihiro. Upon entering the dimly lit restaurant on the second floor, the staff greeted us and told us to choose any seat we liked. The interior had a variety of seating options, from tables to sofas, each unique in its own way. The crowd was mostly young people, which made us feel a bit out of place. We chose a seat next to a window overlooking the street, where other customers were already seated. I had already eaten, so my wife took care of ordering. The atmosphere of the restaurant was casual, like a cafe, but I was surprised by the wide variety of wines available. I was able to order a bottle of my favorite wine. We enjoyed appetizers, pizza, and pasta, all of which were delicious. However, the staff seemed busy and not very attentive, so it was difficult to get their attention even when we called out. It might be better to sit closer to the kitchen next time. Also, eating on a sofa was a bit uncomfortable. Next time, we'll opt for a table seat.
