Four of us girls went for a casual drink together. Since two of us don't drink much, we opted not to get the all-you-can-drink option. We started with the rare tuna cutlet, seasoned with salt, and it was delicious! The perfect level of rareness. Then we had seared mackerel, which was also tasty with onions. Oh, we ate it before taking a photo! Next, we had a sushi set. The sushi rice was just right in size and taste for us girls, and we couldn't stop saying how delicious it was. We quickly finished it and then ordered sashimi of hotate, fried stingray, and fried squid legs. We thoroughly enjoyed the seafood! Next time, I want to come alone and enjoy more seafood with a drink. The pickled herring was also delicious. One of our group members even got the seared mackerel to go.

Today in Sapporo, it rained on and off in the morning, making it cooler than usual. I decided to eat a little more to prepare for a loss of appetite on rainy days. I had planned to try the mini seafood platter, which arrived in about 8 minutes. It came with soy sauce jelly, so I tried it without adding soy sauce. The tuna with wasabi and jelly was surprisingly delicious, followed by the perfect combination of salmon and jelly, and finally the excellent pairing of crab and jelly.

The other day, I passed by a new restaurant called "ben.chan" on the corner of Kotoni Sakae Street, North 35th Street, West 10th Street, about a 10-minute walk from Asahikawa Station. The restaurant specializes in fish dishes, as indicated by the name. The operation seemed to be run by a couple, with a counter seating for 7 and two 4-person tables. I arrived after 2 pm and was greeted promptly by the staff, who asked if I wanted to sit at the counter. The place had a few customers, some of whom seemed to be related to the owners. One lady even asked if it was a fish market. I ordered the "Rare! Fried Horse Mackerel Plate @1,200 yen" for lunch, which was served in about 6 minutes. The fried horse mackerel was cut into 6 pieces and had a crispy texture. The set included rice, salad, miso soup, side dish, and pickles, with a complimentary cold green tea as part of the opening celebration. The salad was fresh and dressed with a flavorful Italian dressing. The side dish featured tuna, salmon, and white fish with a jelly topping, showing promising freshness for other seafood dishes. The miso soup was light and had a good dashi flavor, although slightly salty for my taste. The pickled cucumber was tasty and seemed homemade. The rice was cooked just right and complemented the dish well. Overall, the meal was delicious, and I would like to try their seafood dishes in the future. The lunch menu had a variety of options, with the cheapest being the "Chicken Nanban @1,000 yen." I felt that having a few more options under 1,000 yen would be appreciated in the current economic climate. I might return to try their dinner menu as well.

It's a seafood bowl restaurant visited on the opening day, with a counter seating for 8-9 people, 2 tables for 4, a secret kids' corner, and a table for 4 in the back. The first customers were the dessert prince and Nogucchan, both known for trying out new stores. The lunch menu had many tempting options, like the Selfish Jewel Assortment (Barachirashi) for 1,500 yen. I chose the Three Mini Seafood Assortment for 1,600 yen, which was divided into three small bowls. The seafood was fresh and delicious, coming from a market vendor. Later, I found out about a limited Uni bowl for Instagram followers, quickly followed them, and ordered it without knowing the price. It was made with Murasaki saltwater Uni from Suttsu, and it was incredibly delicious. I ended up overeating and had a late dinner that day. The Uni bowl was a must-try, and I hope they continue offering exclusive deals like this for their followers. They also had some merchandise for sale, including a large and tasty-looking Hokke fish for only 700 yen, which was a steal!
