TACKNMON

In Hokkaido, there are many train stations with difficult-to-read names, and they are unique. For example, "Noboribetsu" is read as "おしゃまんべ" (Oshamanbe) and "Kutchan" is read as "くっちゃん" (Kucchan). It's hard to pronounce (laughs). "Zenihiro" sounds auspicious, read as "ぜにばこ" (Zenibako). "Chashinai" (ちゃしない) sounds like "Let's not have tea?" (laughs). But what really catches my attention is the "Takumon" station, located in Hokkaido, it's a funny name!
Today, I visited "Danmaya Suisan Teine Store", located just a minute away from Teine Station. It opened in November 2020 and is a seafood izakaya that aims to make customers smile with fresh seasonal ingredients, sake, and unique menu items at reasonable prices. The catchphrase "A place where smiles gather" is familiar, as it is part of the Yorozu no Taki Group. I visited on a weekday night.
It was not raining a moment ago, but suddenly it started pouring rain. The cold wind was blowing fiercely. This is the fourth stop on my "I want to forget everything in Hokkaido Tour". Teine Station is where my niece and sister-in-law are waiting for me. When I first heard the name, I thought it was a polite station, but it turned out to be different. While the snow was still piled up, I dashed from the station in 10 seconds. "Welcome!" Oh, a big stove greeted me warmly. "Sorry to keep you waiting!" It's been a while! My niece has grown so much. Alright, let's cheers with a draft beer (506 yen). Sapporo Classic is good. Only in Hokkaido. Be round, become a star ★ You can always start over, no matter what. With beer, everything is great and strong.
I had already snacked a lot at Sapporo Station, so I just had some kushikatsu and another drink. I thought kushikatsu would be heavy, but it was delicious and I could eat it all. Hooray for foodies. After a while, I quickly paid the bill. Let's go to the hot springs! Thank you for the meal. Takumon signing off. Cheers!

Shirasu pizza ¥528, Dashi tamagoyaki ¥528, and fresh chu-hi. It's a chain izakaya where you can feel comfortable dining alone, especially late at night. The bright atmosphere is welcoming, and it's nice that they leave you alone but it can be a bit inconvenient having to ring the bell for every little order. Thank you for the meal.

Opened about a year ago. Must have been tough due to the impact of COVID. Arrived a little before 8 pm on a Saturday. It was very crowded with a wait of 2 groups, but luckily we were able to sit after a short wait. It's a nostalgic and stable Yorunotaki restaurant. They offer all-you-can-drink, but beer is reasonably priced at 473 yen per glass, and there are drink restrictions, but if you add them as a LINE friend, you get one free drink. We opted for individual drinks. You can choose between warm and cold appetizers. The warm one we had was delicious soft cartilage. I started with a large beer. The lemon sour had a good alcohol content. Delicious! The mackerel sashimi for 418 yen was amazing with good fat content. The portion size was decent for the price. The anchovy and whitebait pizza for 528 yen was crispy and thin, with a perfect flavor for a snack. Despite the crowd, the service was smooth, although there might be a slight delay. The service from the female staff was excellent! There is also a counter and a raised seating area at the back. Reservations are required. Suitable for families or individuals. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and clean, and the food is affordable and delicious! I can't stress enough how great the service from that female staff was, it made me feel really good. We had 6 drinks, 2 dishes, and the total bill was around 3400 yen for two people. Thank you for coming to Teine. I will definitely go back! Thank you for the meal!

In November 2021, near JR Teine Station, there is a nostalgic Yoro no Taki affiliated seafood izakaya called San Hana! The place was packed and bustling on Friday, possibly due to the calming of the situation with COVID-19. Although there was a bit of a wait, there was an all-you-can-drink option at the box seats, but since it was cheap, there was no restriction on ordering individual items. By adding the restaurant as a friend on LINE, you could get a free drink, such as red wine, which was only 200 yen. The appetizer had two options for 310 yen, with one being a light and refreshing sashimi. Since the restaurant focused on fish, we ordered the following items: Shime saba sashimi for 380 yen, which was fresh and thickly sliced; and a salmon roe and mentaiko pizza gyoza, which had a thin and light dough similar to gyoza skin, with a refreshing taste of the sea from the shirasu and salmon roe. The staff was attentive and considerate, making the dining experience enjoyable. Thank you for the meal!
