When looking at things related to Hakodate online, I sometimes come across the words "Nakayama Kentucky". Upon researching, I found out that it refers to the chicken wings sold at Nakayama Minshuku in Matsumae Town. It seems that Oobayashi's chicken wings in front of Goryokaku Station are related to this. So, I decided to buy some as a snack with alcohol. However, Matsumae is far away, and this place is on the outskirts of Matsumae, so it's very far from Hakodate (sweat). As for the taste, it has a mild flavor with low salt content. This time, they only had chicken wings, but I heard they also have chicken feet, so I definitely want to try them next time (^-^). However, it's really far, so maybe Oobayashi is fine after all (laughs). The image of the bent back of the old lady was impressive.

In May 2012, I heard about a local dish called "Nakayama Kentucky" made by an old lady named Chiyo Nakayama who runs a guesthouse. Every time I passed by, I noticed the word "croquette" written on the glass door, but I wasn't sure if they were open. However, today the "open" sign was up. I planned to buy croquettes next time, but then I heard about Nakayama Kentucky and saw it in the newspaper. I decided to stop by on my way back from Otaru. The "open" sign was up. There was nothing on the silver tray. I thought they might be sold out, but then the old lady appeared and said, "We have some." The croquettes were 60 yen each, and the chicken thighs were 250 yen. The hand-cut fries were also 60 yen, as it was written. The fries were warm when I received them. The car smelled delicious. This would be a good meal for today. The flavor was mild, and I could eat as many as I wanted. It was delicious.
