It's been over 10 years since I last visited Ospa (my family usually prefers Yunohana). I had a half-price coupon from the magazine HO, so I came with my father. Additionally, if you become LINE friends, you can get a free coupon! So, I got in for free! Two people can enter for ¥420 with the coupon (originally ¥850 in the magazine HO). From December 1st, the price increased to ¥950, but with cards like Sekomacard, Aeon card, or JAF, you can always get a ¥200 discount, which is great! Honestly, Ospa's quality might not be worth ¥950, but for that price, I might not come. However, regular customers can benefit from discounted ticket books and loyalty cards, making it even more cost-effective! I prefer Ospa's hot springs over Yunohana's. The jet baths are amazing! The outdoor bath was great too, with a view of the snowy garden. I had it all to myself for about an hour, with snowflakes dancing under the clear blue sky. It was wonderful! Feeling thirsty, we went to the second floor. I saw a menu for a "Frozen Lemon Sour" near the stairs and decided to try it. I'm a sucker for such fruit visuals! It's a bit hard to drink, but the option for refills is great! They understand the feelings of a drinker! In a bar, this could last through 2-3 rounds! The shochu had a slight unique taste at first, but it was fine after the second sip. We also had Zangi, which took 8 minutes to prepare. I had a sip and then smoked in the smoking room. It was bigger and juicier than I expected, with a crispy skin. It was delicious! My father and I each had one. He said, "Not bad at all!" Ospa is pretty good! I want to try other dishes too! However, my father wanted pasta, so we quickly finished our drinks and moved to the restaurant area! - Frozen Lemon Sour ¥380 - Zangi (2 pieces) ¥310 - Canned Cola There were various drinks available in vending machines, including alcoholic beverages. It's great that they have alcoholic drinks in cans! Yunohana doesn't have a vending machine for alcohol, and the drinks served are usually weak and tasteless, so I won't drink there anymore. - Smoking room: Near the entrance to Sekoma, at the back left of the restaurant on the 2nd floor - The 2nd floor has great ventilation and you can see the ferry from the window! - Reclining chairs, regular chairs, and tatami seating available - Some manga available - Ticket system - Self-service dishes, when ready, your number will be announced, but my father mentioned that it's hard to hear as he's starting to have hearing difficulties. Having a buzzer or vibrating device like the one in Yunohana might be useful for seniors!

The salty hot spring is very warming and nice. I got hungry so I tried the food. At night, people waiting for the ferry are sleeping together, it's kind of nice. As for the food, it was neither good nor bad. It's cheap, so I guess it's okay. ★Comments, likes, follows★ are appreciated. My evaluation is not swayed by overall ratings. Even if a restaurant has good ratings, if the food is bad, I will rate it as bad. Even if the food is good, if the cleanliness is lacking or the staff's service is poor, I will give a low rating. I provide my own evaluation without being influenced by others.

After enjoying "Ironai Soba" and "Waraku," we continued our walk towards Sapporo. Our second goal for the day was to visit the "OSPA" hot spring located between Minami Tarumae Station and Chitose Port Station. The road from the canal to the port was mostly for cars, with very few pedestrians. However, the sign for "OSPA" stood tall and clear, guiding us towards our destination. The regular bathing fee was 850 yen, but with a Seicomart card, it was reduced to 650 yen. After purchasing a discount ticket from the vending machine and presenting the card at the counter, we were able to enjoy the hot spring. The facility had improved since my last visit twenty years ago, and the hot spring water felt smooth on my skin. The hot spring had a unique smell of kerosene, which I remembered from my previous visit. The water was strong salt spring, making it quite salty. Despite the smell, I found the experience enjoyable. The bathhouse was not crowded, and I was able to relax in the outdoor bath while watching TV. After the bath, I bought a beer from the vending machine and enjoyed it with some snacks. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience in Otaru, and we ended the day by taking the train back to Sapporo. Otaru never fails to charm me every time I visit.

I'm trying my best, but... 2.5? It's a day-trip hot spring facility near the ferry terminal in Otaru, Hokkaido. I visited it after seeing off a friend. The dining area is on the second floor, with a casual atmosphere offering light meals and a spacious hall. While they have soft drinks and beer suitable for after a bath, my attention was drawn to the "zaru soba" and "raw lamb jingisukan set meal," but I ended up ordering the Otaru-style "ankake yakisoba for 600 yen." It turned out to be a decent amount and taste for a light meal. The seasoning, ingredients, and noodles were fairly standard, with a crispy texture here and there. It's not just a quick microwave dish, it seems. It's self-service, but I was able to relax somehow. Thank you for the meal. The baths are separated by gender, with two indoor baths, one outdoor bath, and a sauna. The spring quality is sodium-chloride strong salt hot spring, 26.3°C, pH 5.9, with mechanically pumped water. However, it's heated, circulated, and chlorinated, so don't expect too much... (laughs) Admission fee is 860 yen for adults (there's a 200 yen discount coupon on the website). They also offer dishes like Shiraoi beef hamburgers and hokke fry. Perhaps they're trying to showcase Hokkaido specialties? If so, they should consider labeling the menu items as "zangi" instead of "chicken nuggets" to bring out the Hokkaido essence more.

During Golden Week, I had a 10-day holiday and my partner had only one day off, so we decided to make the most of it by staying one night in Muroran and the second night in Otaru. We arrived late and only managed to visit three places, none of which were particularly impressive. We ended up sleeping in a bath, which was a first for me. It was like sleeping on the floor, something I had experienced before on a ferry from Beppu to Osaka, but at least there we had reserved spots and bedding. This time, with no reservations possible and the place crowded due to Golden Week, finding a sleeping space was a challenge. We had been drinking until late, so we had to settle for a corner to sleep. We couldn't get a hotel room, so it was a unique experience provided by my partner, although I don't think I want to do it again. The bath was decently sized and we could use it as many times as we wanted, which was nice, but after forcing myself to sleep after drinking beer, I didn't wake up once during the night. I heard snoring from afar, which had been going on since we arrived. I wonder if the people nearby could sleep through it. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed by the time we left early in the morning.

▼Location▼ Located along the back streets of the canal. It is 600m from the Yujiro Memorial Hall towards the Temiya direction, on the right side. ▼About the Restaurant▼ Ospara HP Wing Bay Otaru is a 24-hour day-trip bathing facility located right near the Yushiro Ishihara Memorial Hall. On the 2nd floor of the facility, there is a self-service dining area that serves a variety of menu items. ▼Menu▼ They offer noodles such as ramen, udon, and soba, as well as curry, various rice bowl dishes, set meals, and side dishes, along with a variety of drinks. ▼Food Consumed▼ ▽Soy Sauce Ramen 660 yen (Coupon Special Price)▽ (January 2017) *Used a Groupon coupon for bathing and meal, chose soy sauce ramen. The ramen had a simple presentation with basic ingredients. The soup had a light and simple taste, neither too strong nor too weak. The noodles were medium-thick curly noodles cooked well. The chashu (sliced pork) had a slightly chewy texture, typical of commercial-grade. ▼Impressions▼ (January 2017) This 24-hour day-trip hot spring facility is located along the bay area street that passes behind Wing Bay Otaru and the Otaru Canal. The dining area on the second floor is a spacious self-service space where you can place your order. I visited this place because I had a discount coupon from Groupon for bathing and dining. The hot spring was decent, and the ramen was as expected based on the review above. Considering the discounted price, it was a reasonable experience for both the hot spring and the meal. It's not a bad idea to visit a new hot spring facility once in a while.
