We came across this restaurant and were curious since it wasn't registered, so we visited on a weekday with two people. It used to be a soba restaurant and then a izakaya. The menu included:
- Shiraoi beef and onion stir-fry for 600 yen
- Chicken Karaage for 600 yen
- Tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette) for 450 yen
- Demi-glace Omurice for 600 yen
- Calpis Water for 300 yen
- Otoshi (appetizer) for 300 yen
Prices are excluding tax. It's on the second floor of a building, up a steep staircase to the entrance. We thought it was just a counter, but were told to go further inside to find private rooms and spacious sunken kotatsu seating. The appetizer included thick fried tofu and creamy boiled egg, quite filling on its own. The Shiraoi beef and onion stir-fry was thinly sliced and a bit greasy. The Karaage was crispy and juicy, not rolled but served as a whole piece. The Tamagoyaki was lightly flavored and we added soy sauce. The Omurice was not made with ketchup rice but with demi-glace, moist and tasty. They have a wide selection of sake and Tamagoyaki on the menu. There are many warm dishes like oden that you would want to eat in winter. The restaurant is small and the menu seemed limited, but we were pleasantly surprised by the homemade comforting flavors. The background music was jazz, creating a dim and calm atmosphere. Thank you for the meal.
