Naosan may look intimidating, but he's actually very kind now (laughs). The interior of the bar has about 6-7 counter seats and 2 tables for 6 people each in the booth. The Soul Bar has relocated to the Ginza Building. It is located on the second floor, to the right of the stairs. This bar has been in operation for a long time in Obihiro. It is a cozy place with a clean atmosphere and good music.

Blackness, a soul bar that was loved for a long time and closed in 2008, has reopened after 7 years. I visited the newly reopened Blackness, as I had never been there during the Blackness or Yamato Damashii era. I had visited a few times during the Tokachi Shobun Sakaba era (now only "Oonishi" operates in the neighboring store). I had a Screwdriver for 600 yen, while my companion had a draft beer (Asahi Super Dry) for 600 yen, and we cheered. The Screwdriver was strong and perfect for me. If you're not a fan of strong cocktails, it might be safer to order it "diluted." As it was our second stop and the menu was limited, we ordered the Half Fried Chicken (6 pieces) for 800 yen. They fry it after taking the order, and when it arrived, it was bone-in, which my companion found troublesome. Apparently, since they are in Nakasatsunai, they serve it "raw" due to the quantity (it's not always available), which results in it being bone-in. Personally, I think bone-in tastes better, though. It was fried to perfection, and squeezing some lemon over it made it delicious. Please note that there is a charge of 500 yen for entry and seating, which does not include an appetizer. We had 1-2 drinks, listened to music, and had a little chat with the owner. It feels like a place where you can enjoy drinks, music, and conversation. According to a local newspaper, the owner mentioned, "You can't dance in the establishment, but in the future, I would like to plan disco events that adults can enjoy." Among them, the shop called "Chokuchoku" was running by someone I knew a little, and I wondered where they had gone... On another day, while wandering around the city, I spotted a sign that read "BAR BLACKNESS"! I think it's the place where Haruka, who became famous with Michelin, used to be. It must have been about 10 years ago... I think the owner of Chokuchoku used to run a place called "BAR BLACKNESS" back then... Alright, let's go in! Inside, there was a mountain of records! "No mistake about it!" It's that BLACKNESS! There was that nostalgic person inside. Here is the menu. The prices are not that high. First, I had a Jack Daniel's on the rocks as a greeting.
