The hotel located in West 8th Avenue facing Odori Park has a lovely atmosphere with a 50m atrium. I stayed there for 5 days over the New Year holidays and found it quite inconvenient as it is far from Odori Station and a bit of a distance from Susukino. The rooms facing Odori Park are popular and expensive, but clean, while the rooms on the other side are a bit dated. Breakfast is a Hokkaido buffet for 2,500 yen per adult. I enjoyed various dishes made with Hokkaido ingredients and traditional Hokkaido cuisine. There is no large public bath, but the service was excellent, and it was nice to be able to visit the nearby Sankichi Shrine for hatsumode (first shrine visit of the year).

Today we arrived at this hotel by rental car. The hotel looks a bit old, but the room we stayed in has been renovated. The connecting room is spacious and nice. The bed was comfortable too. It's nice that it's close to Odori Park. Evening walks are enjoyable here. In the morning, there is a buffet style breakfast. They have a decent selection of Hokkaido dishes as well.

I stayed overnight for multiple nights, but on the first night, I left at 5 am so I didn't have breakfast. On the second day, the first breakfast was in a large space with infection prevention measures such as wearing gloves. It's a bit of a hassle but it's reassuring. I usually always get eggs, sausages, and bacon at a Japanese and Western buffet, but the ones at this restaurant were noticeably less salty than those at other hotels. It's healthier, I guess... The miso soup was delicious. I didn't know that clam soup was a thing in Hokkaido.

On the morning of the third day of my trip to Hokkaido, I went to the buffet at the Sapporo View Hotel where I stayed the night before. The venue was quite crowded around 7 o'clock. There were a variety of local dishes and desserts available. I like to try a little bit of everything, so I took small portions of various dishes. Each dish was delicious, and I especially enjoyed watching the chefs prepare omelets live in front of me. I ended up overeating because it was so enjoyable.

Sapporo View Hotel in Chuo Ward, Sapporo, Hokkaido offers a breakfast buffet at around 3000 yen. The hotel staff are very attentive, the room is spacious and clean, raising expectations for the breakfast. Upon arrival at the venue, the large room is impressive. Unlike the usual buffet, there are many Chinese dishes available, with a wide variety of desserts. There are a few slices of roast beef, natto, onsen tamago, and rice with miso soup to choose from. Everything is reasonably delicious, but for me, it's hard to fully enjoy a 3000 yen meal. Thank you for the meal.

●Choose cake, drink, and tea sweets for 1100 yen (shortcake, apple cinnamon tea, black tea frillan). I used the Gotoeat Goto meal ticket in Hokkaido. The current closing time is 4:30 pm, so I made a reservation for 4 pm and took the cake to go, drank the drink on the spot, and took the remaining container to go. I feel like the atmosphere is almost everything in a place like this, so I'm not sure how I feel about it. It would have been nice to have a phone call if things had changed. Given the current situation, it can't be helped though. There were about 5 types of cakes available. Shortcake, chiffon, pudding, mille-feuille, and I forgot the other one. The apple cinnamon tea comes in a teapot, so you get about 2 cups. It has a strong apple scent. The shortcake was on the smaller side, but still quite delicious. The black tea frillan was really delicious!! It was rich and flavorful. If this was available as a single item, I would definitely buy it. The quality of the sweets seems to be high. There was only this menu on Onekyu, but in-store, you can get two cakes and a drink for a similar price, so that might be better. If you want to enjoy a leisurely chat during the day, this cafe is a good option. The atmosphere is nice and the prices are not too high for a hotel. Thank you for the meal!

Because of the current situation, it wasn't crowded, but I made a reservation and went to celebrate. I had been wanting to go for a while, so I'm glad I finally went. There weren't as many options as I thought, but they were having a Shiraoi Fair and they also emphasized local ingredients, so it was very delicious. I ended up eating too much at the buffet and felt like my stomach was going to burst (laughs).

It used to be the Korakuen Hotel in the past... I visited for the first time based on reviews, and it was good with delicious food, live performances, unique dishes, and a Hokkaido vibe. If only the desserts and bread were a bit tastier! Also, it was disappointing that the sushi was a bit dry. But overall, it was delicious and in a good location.

The dinner buffet had only bread as the main staple without rice. For the main meat dish, guests could choose one plate. The variety overall was limited and left a bit to be desired. There was a section where bottled water from different regions was available for unlimited consumption, but each person had to open and close the caps themselves, which raised some concerns about hygiene.

Visited on June 12, 2019, I attended another Lions Club ceremony. This hotel seems to change its name often. Now it is called Sapporo View Hotel Odori Park. The food here was really good, without exaggeration. Considering the budget and the dishes, it was quite impressive. It's no wonder with the general manager being a Lions Club member (laughs). I wish the hotel we use for our meetings could learn from this (laughs). The meal consisted of a variety of dishes including abalone, fillet, and shark fin. All for this budget. Amazing. The Canadian salmon marinated in tartar sauce with lime was delicious. The assorted hors d'oeuvres and the shark fin soup with Jinhua ham were excellent. The white fish with watercress and spinach velouté sauce was a bit too rich for my taste. The abalone and large shrimp stir-fry was fantastic. The Hokkaido black beef fillet steak with Perigueux sauce and Inca's awakening Dufinoise was top-notch. The seafood mini chirashi sushi and the glass mille-feuille for dessert were also delicious. It's been a while since I've been satisfied with hotel food. Thank you for the feast!

The Sapporo View Hotel Odori Park offers a great view of the snow festival venue below. The room was comfortable and I could enjoy the snow festival lights from the window. The stay included a breakfast buffet with tickets, which was a nice bonus. My favorite items were the giant honey from the 'nest' and the French toast. Thank you for the delicious meal.

After enjoying a seafood bowl, I returned to the hotel and waited for the bus to arrive. Next to the waiting area was the buffet breakfast venue included in the tour. Although I was quite full, I decided to try the hotel breakfast since I was there. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly luxurious, with a variety of dishes including meat, fish, and a wide selection of desserts. I ended up putting a lot on my plate, including an omelette made by the chef on the spot. The food was well-prepared and delicious, especially the crab miso soup which had a strong flavor. I couldn't resist getting seconds. Feeling very full, I boarded the bus to the next destination. It was a rushed visit, but overall, it was a great trip to Sapporo. Thank you for the delicious meal! Breakfast was a bit pricey at 2500 yen for guests and 3000 yen for the general public, but the ingredients were high quality and everything we ate was delicious. In particular, the omelet made with Shitakawa Rokugo enzyme eggs and Biei milk was outstanding. They cook it after you order it, and it's so creamy and delicious. The roast beef and lamb steak cooked on a lava stone were also incredibly tasty. Even the vegetables I usually don't like were rich in flavor and very delicious. My wife said, 'I want to stay here again.' "

The roast beef was delicious. I also really liked the porcini and chicken cream stew. The sushi had wasabi in it. There was also ramen available.

We enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Both adults and children were satisfied, especially with the rice and side dishes. The staff were very polite and efficient. They were wearing masks, face shields, and gloves, which made us feel safe while dining. We were also provided with masks and gloves when not eating, which was very reassuring.
