There is a self-made "tsukemen" specialty shop in Midorimachi, Asahikawa City, and I heard from a friend that their limited-time offer for March, the "maze-soba," is delicious. I decided to visit after a long time. Indeed, there was a sign on the blackboard at the entrance saying "Limited-time offer for March: maze-soba." This place is known for its delicious "shime gohan," which is eating rice with the remaining dipping sauce. I wondered if the combination of "maze-soba" and "shime gohan" would work. When I asked the owner, he said, "The maze-soba already has some broth in it, so having shime gohan with the remaining broth and ingredients would go well together." So, I decided to order shime gohan as well. The maze-soba comes in the same portion sizes as the tsukemen - regular, medium, and large, all at the same price. The owner suggested that since I can also eat shime gohan, a medium portion might be better. The maze-soba (medium) costs 980 yen, and the shime gohan costs 180 yen. It took about 7-8 minutes for the food to arrive. The maze-soba had homemade thick noodles, chewy and delicious. It was topped with seaweed, green onions, shrimp tempura, chopped chashu, and egg yolk. The aroma was great, and it went down smoothly, just as the owner had said. The crispy texture of the shrimp tempura also complemented the maze-soba well. As for the shime gohan, it was cooked with broth and ingredients, and it was recommended to mix it in while there was still some left. It was delicious, especially when eaten with the chopped chashu. There were plenty of condiments on the table, so you could adjust the flavor as you eat. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience!

The ramen with curly noodles was 800 yen. I forgot to order grated ginger, and when I tried to order it again, they came to take the order after I finished eating. It's a bit too late, even if they were busy. I have no comments on the taste. I have been there many times, but if they continue to provide this kind of service, I don't think I will go back next time.

The rich shrimp miso ramen was 980 yen, and the rice to finish was 180 yen. It had a strong shrimp flavor, which I personally found very delicious. The menu suggested pouring the soup over the rice, but even on its own, the rice was very tasty.

Spicy Ramen Level 4, Extra Large Portion, 980 yen. I opted for the hot version. I tried Level 4 spiciness, but it was just a little spicy for me. Next time, I'll go for Level 5 or 6. The noodles were thick. It came with cabbage. There was vinegar available, but it was in a spray bottle, which was a bit inconvenient to use.

While waiting at the traffic light in front of the store, I saw a poster for Big Boss Ramen. I visited for the first time this year after work. I tried the Miso Butter Corn Ramen, which comes with its own special soup and noodles. The gentle flavor of butter and the sweetness of corn blended well together. It was delicious. The menu is available until the end of February. Thank you for the meal!

There is a well-known road near my place, so I've been thinking since its opening in December last year, "Oh, a new shop has opened." Eventually, after six months, I finally felt like going. It's a ramen and tsukemen restaurant called "tsukemen.com". Located at 12 Chome, Midorimachi, Asahikawa City, you can find the map here https://goo.gl/maps/riVpz1czeotAUa3Z9. Open from 10:00 to 20:30, closed on Wednesdays. Parking available. [Please contact the store for current opening hours, closures, takeout options, etc.] Official Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tsukemen_com/. Before the opening on December 3rd last year, the signboard was already up, but I was wondering about the name of the shop. It does say "tsukemen.com," but it took me a while to realize that was the name of the shop. They have various types of soup for their tsukemen, and they also serve regular ramen. They make their own noodles! That's interesting. The interior is spacious, with fewer tables, maybe for COVID-19 measures. Tissues and chopsticks are provided on the tables, which is nice. There was a container on the table that made me curious. Next to the table, there was a manual on how to eat tsukemen. You can change the flavor with curry powder and rock salt? Ah, that's what the container was for. I tried the Tomato Tsukemen for 980 yen with extra noodles (540g). The noodles were thick and chewy, almost like thick udon. The soup was rich and thick, with chopped onions, spices, and cheese sprinkled on top. The tomato flavor was strong, which added a refreshing touch. I could also sense a fish (dried bonito) aroma. As I was enjoying the meal, I almost forgot to add the curry powder for flavor variation. I added it when there were about three bites left. The curry powder intensified the flavor, but it surprisingly went well with the tomato soup. Overall, I really liked it. I underestimated this place based on its name, thinking it was just a trendy shop. My bad! This richness might be a hit or miss for some people. If you like the "family-style" ramen in Asahikawa, such as Takedaya or Odateya, you'll probably enjoy this place too. [Tabelog]

Tsukemen... I usually don't choose it, but I heard they have an interesting fried rice dish, so I decided to visit with the intention of trying the fried rice. However, since it's a Tsukemen specialty shop, ordering just fried rice alone felt a bit odd, so I decided to bring in some help! And who better to help than the "Tomato Tsukemen"! I thought adding curry powder to the tomato broth would make it even more delicious, so I decided to give it a try... The boss went for level 10 spiciness, of course! Both of us ordered the "hot" option with a small noodle portion. Since we were having fried rice, you see... The fried rice was brought by a cute female staff member who skillfully cracked a raw egg on the sizzling hot iron plate. The finished dish was then mixed by the boss with a flourish. The tomato soup had a great balance of umami and richness, blending perfectly with the tomato flavor. It had no strange aftertaste and wasn't overpoweringly pork-brothy. The saltiness was just right, and the chewy noodles were a delight to eat. We also added some curry powder midway through, which added an extra delicious kick to the dish. The combination of fried rice and Tsukemen turned out to be quite a good match. It was a satisfying meal. Thank you for the delicious food!

Tukemen.com, which had been closed, has reopened for business. I went there right after work. Since I don't have dinner waiting for me at home, I've been struggling during the state of emergency. I ordered the spicy tukemen in a large portion, along with water dumplings and teppanyaki fried rice. As usual, I tend to overeat. The spicy tukemen was at level 1, recommended for beginners, but for me, this level was just right. It had a nice kick of spiciness and was delicious. It's perfect for the hot season. Thank you for the meal!

Limited menu with super rich dipping noodles!!? I had to go because of that, and the soup was thick and sticky, perfect for coating the noodles!! It's been a while since I've had something this thick and gooey! It feels sinful, but I couldn't resist this dipping noodles! I hope they offer it again in the future!

I always pass by this restaurant but never had the chance to visit until today. I arrived at exactly 12 o'clock and about 80% of the seats were taken. I don't often eat tsukemen, so I'm looking forward to it. There are four types of tsukemen on the regular menu: regular tsukemen, spicy tsukemen, dried fish tsukemen, and tomato tsukemen. The recommended dish by the owner is the spicy tsukemen, but since I love dried fish, I chose the dried fish tsukemen. You can add extra noodles up to 540g for no additional charge, so I went for the extra noodles. I thought the thick noodles would take a while to cook, but they arrived in about 10 minutes. The dipping sauce looked rich and flavorful. Despite the 540g serving, the noodles didn't seem like a lot. There was a large sheet of seaweed, menma, and thickly sliced pork shoulder on the side, sprinkled with white sesame seeds. First, I tried the noodles on their own. They were chewy and had a nice texture, but not very firm. I dipped them in the sauce and tried them. The flavor of dried fish was definitely there, but it felt like something was missing. Perhaps the saltiness was toned down to bring out the flavor of the dried fish. Personally, I prefer a bit more saltiness or soy sauce flavor. The menma was seasoned well. The pork was slightly tender and not heavily seasoned. There are curry powder and salt on the table for seasoning, so you can adjust the flavor to your liking. The soup is also kept in a pot, so you can enjoy soup refills as well.

After getting off the highway, on the way to Asahikawa Station, there is a place called Tsukemen.com! It looks like a chain store, but there are always cars in the parking lot and it seems busy! I found out it's not a chain store, so I visited during a quiet time in the evening. I arrived around 7:30 pm, and there were already 3 groups of customers! It must be a popular place, especially during the pandemic in this area of Asahikawa! I ordered the rich tsukemen and fried rice that I was curious about. After waiting for the noodles to cook for 10 minutes, the anticipated tsukemen arrived! The thick soup looked unhealthy but incredibly delicious! I took a bite right away! It was rich and flavorful! The thick soup was irresistible! The noodles were thick and coated well with the soup! The fried rice was a mix-it-yourself style, which added to the fun! I finished both the noodles and rice in no time! I could see why this place is so popular! I would love to try other flavors at this tsukemen shop again!

I had the April limited edition house-style ramen at "tsukemen.com" located at 3868-5 Midorimachi 12-chome, Asahikawa City (980 yen). The ramen was topped with 3 sheets of seaweed, spinach, menma, chashu, chopped onions, and plenty of lard. This shop opened in December 2020 and this was my second visit. The menu has changed slightly since my last visit, with new additions such as chahan (fried rice) and increased options for regular ramen. The house-style ramen for April had a unique touch with chopped onions and menma. The noodles were homemade and slightly thinner than before, but still good. The broth was rich and flavorful, with hints of soy sauce, pork bone, and seafood. Overall, it was a satisfying bowl of ramen for the price. The shop also offers other menu items like tsukemen and spicy tsukemen. The limited-time ramen was a house-style ramen with a twist. The shop also announced extended hours starting from June, which is a welcome change. I enjoyed my meal and look forward to trying their tsukemen next time.

In front of the entrance, there was a sign saying "Important announcement. Details inside." I was curious but didn't have time to visit until now. Finally, I went inside and discovered the limited-time mixed noodles. I thought that was the important announcement, so I ordered it. As always, the homemade noodles were delicious even in the mixed noodles. I enjoyed it very much. On my way out, they told me the real important announcement. Please visit the restaurant to find out. Thank you for the meal...

Day off. After renewing my driver's license and taking care of some errands at work, I stopped by the original store of tsukemen.com in the evening. This time, I ordered the tomato tsukemen with extra noodles. Previously, the master recommended getting the tomato tsukemen with extra noodles, but I mistakenly ordered it with cold noodles (which was still delicious). So this time, I followed his advice and got it with extra noodles. As always, it was served piping hot, so I didn't need to blow on it. It was a bit strange not having to cool it down, but it was delicious as he had suggested. They have also added more side menu options. I thought about adding the iron plate fried rice, but I was too full this time. Thank you for the meal.

My daughter came home for a visit. She has finished her thesis and now just waiting for her assignment location to be decided. On her day off from work, she came to pick up the car she purchased. The question is whether she can drive back to Asahikawa alone?! "If you come with me, I would be grateful..." The doting father agreed with a bowl of ramen. A delicious tsukemen shop has opened near her lodging (I don't remember there being one before) so we decided to visit. - Tsukemen (small portion) 890 yen My daughter ordered a small portion, so I wondered why. Upon closer inspection, the "regular portion" is 360g!! The small portion was 280g. The dipping sauce is a rich tonkotsu flavor, but without any unpleasant smell, it's delicious! The noodles are straight and thick, the classic style for tsukemen! However, I prefer medium-thick curly noodles for my tsukemen. It would be nice if we could choose. My daughter is leaving Asahikawa, so I won't be able to go there as often. Thank you for the meal! (^o^)

Today's lunch was at Tsukemen.com. I love tsukemen, so I was looking forward to it. I decided to go with the spicy tsukemen, choosing a level 5 out of 10 for spiciness, and opted for the noodles to be served hot. The medium size, 450g, was priced at 980 yen. I usually go for the large size, 580g, but decided to start with the medium this time. The order arrived in about 10 minutes. The rich dipping sauce initially gave off a curry-like aroma. The spiciness was just right for me. Although the noodles weren't exactly to my liking, I think I could handle the large size next time. I'll try the dried fish tsukemen in a large size next.

I was really looking forward to it, but unfortunately, the experience was not as expected. I had been keeping an eye on it even before it opened. When I saw some customers inside, I thought, "Oh, is it finally open?" and parked my car, only to realize it was just the reception area. So, it was "tsukemen.com". Despite the twists and turns, my wife and I decided to visit on a quiet holiday afternoon. The interior of the restaurant had a chic vibe with counter seats, table seats, and even a raised seating area. We were guided to the counter seats by a stylish lady staff, even though the table seats were empty, which was slightly annoying in the current COVID situation, but we decided to go with the flow and took our seats. The menu offered various options like tsukemen, spicy tsukemen, niboshi tsukemen, tomato tsukemen, and ramen. I decided to go with the classic tsukemen! Since the noodles take some time to cook, I waited for about 20 minutes while playing with my smartphone. The tsukemen came with medium noodles (450g) for 980 yen. First, the dipping sauce had a strong pork bone smell, which I'm not a fan of. The sign at the entrance mentioned "rich double soup of pork bone and seafood," so I expected some pork bone flavor, but the intensity of the smell was unexpected. However, this was just a matter of personal preference, and I planned to choose the niboshi tsukemen next time, so it wasn't a big issue. As for the noodles... well, they were beyond chewy, almost rubbery. The taste was also lacking, and honestly, I was quite disappointed with the noodles. Feeling let down, we headed back home. If the noodles were a bit tastier, I would have considered trying the niboshi tsukemen next time, but now I'm not sure if I'll revisit.

I visited a new tsukemen (dipping noodles) restaurant in Midori-cho for the first time. The place used to be an izakaya before being renovated, with an open kitchen where you can see the noodle-making process, and the spacious interior is well-spaced out. Looking at the menu, there are different flavors of tsukemen available, and you can also choose the amount of noodles you want. This time, I ordered the regular size (360g) of niboshi (dried sardine) tsukemen and a side of "shime gohan" (end-of-meal rice). It arrived after about 15 minutes. It was a bowl of thick noodles with menma (bamboo shoots), sudachi (Japanese citrus), chashu (roast pork), and nori (seaweed), accompanied by a slightly thick soup. The noodles were incredibly chewy with a smooth surface. The soup wasn't overpowering with the taste of dried sardines but was very easy to eat. I added sudachi halfway through for a refreshing twist. I finished every last bite of the noodles without getting tired of it. Then came the "shime gohan" - rice cooked in the soup and further mixed with the soup on the table, creating a porridge-like dish. It was delicious once again! I'm looking forward to trying their regular ramen next time. It would be great if the tsukemen culture could take root in Asahikawa as well. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Today, I shoveled snow at my parents' house from the morning. I got hungry from the physical work. I saw on Tabelog that a new delicious tsukemen shop opened, so I went there. There was a Yamato Seisakusho's latest noodle-making machine next to the entrance. They make their own noodles! Exciting. I had the medium-sized dried fish tsukemen (450g) with extra char siu and seasoned egg for 250 yen. First, I tried just the noodles. The noodles, with a moderate thickness, had a smooth and chewy texture with whole grain flour particles on the surface, making them high-quality. Quite delicious! The dipping soup, with a mild dried fish flavor, was rich in collagen from animal ingredients and had a thick and easy-to-eat consistency. Quite delicious! Even with the 450g medium size, the noodles were not too thick, so they went down smoothly in the stomach. Next time, I want to try the large size. Lastly, I poured the soup wari (diluted soup) on the table to finish every drop. Finally, a delicious tsukemen shop has appeared in Asahikawa!

This is a newly opened noodle shop specializing in dipping noodles with homemade noodles in Midorimachi, Asahikawa City, which opened on December 3rd. The menu includes ramen, but the main menu consists of four types of dipping noodles. I was interested in the spicy dipping noodles and tomato dipping noodles, but since I like bonito-based flavors, I ordered the "Bonito Dipping Noodles" in a medium size (450g) for 980 yen (tax included). The dipping noodles come in four sizes: small (260g) for 890 yen, regular (360g), medium (450g), and large (580g) for 980 yen. If you can eat more, you can also order extra-large or kilogram size for an additional fee. I chose the medium size as it seemed like a good amount, and the noodles were served in about 10 minutes. The homemade noodles were thick and had a nice chewy texture. It's rare to find a shop that serves such good noodles as their own. The dipping sauce was thick and rich with a wonderful bonito aroma. At first, the medium size seemed a bit much, but as I ate, the noodles had a pleasant mouthfeel and I quickly finished them. I enjoyed squeezing sudachi lime and adding curry powder to change the flavor as I ate. Towards the end, I ordered the "Rice to Finish" (180 yen). I thought white rice would be served, but it was a light brown rice. It tasted good on its own or when added to the remaining dipping sauce. The rice seemed to be cooked with bonito flavor. I had a brief chat with the owner, who used to be the manager of "Tsuke-men Tsukiya Musashi-Urawa" near Musashi-Urawa Station, where the Saikyo Line and Musashino Line intersect in Saitama City, before opening this shop. He mentioned his hope to expand to Sapporo and Obihiro in the future. With this delicious taste, his dream seems achievable. The owner is still young. Keep up the good work!
