I visited with staff for lunch. It's a branch of a restaurant located in the harbor. On this day, I ordered the shrimp wonton noodle soup with salt. There is a large amount of sakura shrimp in it, which could be a hit or miss for some people. The wontons were decent. Thank you for the meal.

I dropped by on my way back after enjoying seafood. The soy sauce ramen soup was delicious! The chashu was incredibly tender and flavorful, easy to cut with chopsticks! Even the taxi driver on the way to the airport said, "That place is delicious, right?!" haha

I had eaten at this restaurant over 10 years ago, but the seasoning was too strong, so I had not visited since then. This time, I went to their second branch, not remembering the taste at all, so it felt like a new experience. I ordered their signature Kyoryu miso ramen. It arrived in about 5 minutes. First, I tried the soup... Hmm... It was the mild type preferred by Hakodate locals, lacking depth or richness. It's not that it tasted bad, but it just wasn't my preference. I feel like the quality and quantity of the work at this ramen shop are different from what I consider a delicious miso ramen shop. Miso ramen can be easily masked by the miso paste, so the chef needs to be delicate to bring out the depth and richness. Also, the char siu, which is from a BBQ background, is still not my favorite. I believe that ramen should focus on the noodles and soup, so having too many toppings is not my preference.

This is a branch of Nogi in Hibiki. It's been a while since my last visit. I was intrigued by the shrimp salt wonton noodles featured in the town magazine's ramen special, so I ordered it. It cost 880 yen including tax. The simple and tasty shrimp-filled wontons came in a set of 5. The soup itself didn't have much shrimp flavor, but it was easy to eat.

The ramen in Hakodate is of high quality. I prefer the miso ramen here over the ones in Sapporo. It is my favorite restaurant to visit every time I go to Hakodate. The fried rice is also recommended.

I had the Kyoryu Miso Ramen on March 27, 2017. I was planning to have the salt ramen but it was recommended so I ordered it. It was rich and the pork chashu was thick and well marinated in sauce.

Visited a place where you can eat super spicy tanmen. Of course, I ordered the spiciest level 3. Female staff: Are you sure?? ( ・∇・) I feel a bit happy when they say that recently (laughs) Now, after about 10 minutes, the dish arrived. It looks like they really put a lot of red pepper in it (^-^) Maybe it's doubanjiang? The noodles are like the standard ones from Kobayashi Seimen. The spiciness is quite intense. Probably they use something like Jolokia to make it this spicy. But as you can see, the red pepper is all over the noodles, making it hard to eat (≧∇≦) Still, I managed to finish it. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is relaxing, but for 1100 yen, I won't be coming back next time.

I had passed by this restaurant several times and noticed that it was quite busy during meal times, so I decided to give it a try. I visited on a Sunday afternoon around 6pm and there was only one group of customers ahead of me. I was torn between ordering the miso ramen or the Kyoryu miso ramen, so I asked the staff for the difference. They recommended the Kyoryu ramen as it was richer in flavor, so I went with that. While waiting for my order, a few more groups came in. It seems like a popular spot. After about 5 minutes, my ramen arrived. It was surprisingly light in taste. The soup was made from simmering pork bones and chicken bones, but it was more on the lighter side than rich. The noodles were straight and slightly firm, providing a good chew. The toppings included seared chashu, menma, flavored egg, bean sprouts, green onions, and minced meat at the bottom. The chashu was thick and satisfying to eat. The bean sprouts and green onions were generously portioned, making the dish filling. I was expecting a richer miso flavor, so I felt slightly underwhelmed. Although the portion was generous and filled me up, I wished for a bit more punch. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.
