It was very affordable, about a third of the price at a supermarket. The Frozen Broccoli is a reliable choice for us, both in taste and price. The Orange Juice was also good, and the reduced price made it even better. This store is a lifesaver when we need to stock up on groceries. 〜2016.3 Convenient and useful ingredients are abundantly available. I have been trying out various ingredients that are likely used in restaurants. I bought xiaolongbao, shrimp dumplings, and shumai with the intention of steaming them all, but ended up only frying the shumai. The xiaolongbao had a hot soup that oozed out when eaten. The shrimp dumplings were easy to eat due to their size, had a smooth and chewy texture that was quite enjoyable. Unfortunately, the shumai did not turn out well haha. I used to buy various items without taking photos and just consumed them, but from now on, I plan to take pictures of the commercial ingredients that are not typically sold in regular supermarkets, as I may come across them in restaurants. In 2015.12, Carrot is a specialty store for commercial food ingredients. I used to frequent their previous location and have continued to do so since their relocation. The frozen ice desserts Semifreddo Dolce and moist white fig Semifreddo Dolce are quite addictive! The Semifreddo Dolce is delicious even when cold, with a not too sweet taste that makes it a great dessert after a meal. The moist white fig is simple yet moist, with a natural gentle sweetness that is healthy and delicious. The Chanja was also tasty with its spicy kick. While I don't find the cost performance to be particularly cheap, they offer unique items that you can't find in supermarkets, which piques my interest and leads me to buy things on a whim. There's something about seeing slightly unusual items that draws me in. They offer various food ingredients, seasonings, frozen foods, mainly for business use, so the quantities are usually larger than what individuals would buy. They also have business-use gelato in addition to ice cream. This time, I bought items like "Mini Yuki-mi Daifuku Business Use - Red" and frozen Inaniwa-style udon. The Mini Yuki-mi Daifuku are small bite-sized treats, and the red one has the usual taste of regular Yuki-mi Daifuku. The price is 309 yen for a pack of 9 pieces. The special selection US walnuts are affordable for the amount you get. The price is 570 yen for 200g, while similar products at other stores are priced at 698 yen. The frozen Inaniwa-style udon is uncooked, so you need to boil it before eating. It has a clear and beautiful white color when cooked and has a smooth and satisfying texture. Each piece weighs 250g, and a pack of 5 costs 391 yen. The ice cream is cheap and convenient for households. The business-use ice cream in 2-liter containers is around 495 yen, while the gelato ranges from 1500 to 2000 yen. Items like the US walnuts and frozen Inaniwa-style udon are also affordable and useful for home cooking. Next time, I might try the cost-effective business-use ice cream. It was a delicious meal, thank you."

I have been using "Carrot" for decades, and the nearest location to my home is the 24-ken main store. I stopped by on my walk to see if there was anything interesting that day. Sometimes I find special deals when I visit, so it's always a fun experience. In the past, I used to buy a lot of spices, dried noodles, and dried ingredients, but recently I've been buying more frozen foods. For people who enjoy cooking, just walking around the store is a delight. On this day, I purchased "Shinshu Miso 1kg" and "Frozen Randomly Sliced Lotus Root 500g @100 yen (tax included)." The "Shinshu Miso" was slightly sweet, not my preferred taste. The "Frozen Randomly Sliced Lotus Root" doesn't have the same texture as fresh ones, but depending on how you cook it, it can be quite useful. Plus, the quantity and price are very attractive. I also use other similar food supermarkets like "Gyomu Super," but I find that the prices are not significantly different depending on the product. I'll visit again when my freezer is running low.
