Visit date: July 4, 2020, around 3:00 PM. After shopping for clothes, I decided to take a break and have dessert at this shop, "Amami to Kamameshi Azabu Teahouse Sapporo Tokyu Store". The interior of the shop was bustling with a variety of customers, including moms and solo diners. This time, I ordered the "Shaved Ice Blue Lychee (¥880)" that I had been wanting to try since my last visit. The order arrived in about 5 minutes. The shaved ice, topped with blue Hawaii syrup, fruits, vanilla ice cream, and lychee, was beautifully presented. The combination of blue Hawaii syrup and abundant fruits (pineapple, cherries, peaches, etc.) enhanced the sweetness and made each spoonful delightful. You can also change the flavor with honey, making it a great choice for those who love sweet treats. The cool vanilla ice cream offers a different sweetness from the syrup, adding to its appeal. "Azabu Teahouse" offers a wide range of dessert options, so you can easily drop in just for dessert, like at a cafe. Shaved ice is probably only available during the summer, so if you want to try it, do so soon! Thank you for the delicious treat.
(Added on 8/8/2020) I have added a photo of the sample menu of Kamameshi. It is a unique dish that you cannot find in other Azabu Teahouse locations, so I hope this information is helpful.
(Added on 5/22/2021) This is unrelated to the review, but I would like to mention that the "secret place with less crowding" I mentioned in a previous review, was the rooftop game corner at the Sapporo Tokyu Department Store where this shop is located. The game I used to play there was an older version with few locations nationwide, and it was a convenient way to pass time before visiting the store. Unfortunately, it closed on May 9, 2021. While the decrease in rooftop amusement parks is a trend, it is still disappointing. The handling of the situation, especially with the Olympics, seems quite unreasonable. If customers engage in conversations without masks or make noise, blaming restaurants is unfair. There are flaws in the government's measures, even if I am not in a position to speak, having visited Sapporo almost monthly until March. There is more I could say, but I'll stop here. I apologize if this has made anyone uncomfortable. Although I may visit other shops within the Tokyu Department Store in the future, the frequency is likely to decrease. It is completely unrelated to restaurants, but I will attach a photo of the last cabinet I used. Thank you for the many memories.
