Torotama oyakodon: 530 yen (regular oyakodon is 450 yen) This is a convenient and affordable place when you're in a hurry. Today, I didn't have much time and went around 2 PM. I saw a breakfast menu on a sign in front of the shop, such as "Special egg set: 290 yen" and "Sunny-side up set: 290 yen." It's cheap and looks good, so I plan to try it next time. However, there is a time limit until 10 AM.

I felt like going out at night... I used a coupon on the app and was able to eat cold udon for only 200 yen. It's so convenient to have a nearby place where you can eat cheaply and easily even late at night. I definitely want to visit again when I get hungry.

In the Niyon area, there are two franchise rice bowl shops. You can choose between beef bowl or chicken and egg bowl. I went inside the crowded shop and ordered a "pork cutlet bowl" from the ticket machine. But looking at the visual that arrived...hmm, maybe this is actually a chicken and egg bowl. Either way, it was a bit disappointing that there wasn't enough runny egg. Still, it's great that you can eat here 24 hours a day. Thank you for the meal.

I went to the Nakau restaurant in the Kita-ku Kita 24-jo area. Unfortunately, they had already ended their Nakau Day promotion, so I couldn't get the katsudon at a discounted price. The scratch card prizes weren't very appealing either. They seemed to have removed the special lunch deals as well. Surprisingly, they reduced the price of the oyakodon from 490 yen to 450 yen. I had a bad experience with the oyakodon at the Sapporo Station Nakau, so I won't be trying it again. Today, I decided to stick with their breakfast menu. I ordered the "Special Egg Beef Small Plate" for 440 yen with an extra large portion for 20 yen. I'm not a fan of Nakau's eggs, but their breakfast menu always includes eggs. The beef in the small plate comes in a separate dish, so I can eat it without the sauce. I find the sauce in the gyudon a bit unsettling at times, similar to when I eat ramen with a lot of artificial seasonings or instant ramen with a high fat content. I can enjoy it more without the sauce (laughs). Maybe not many people feel the same way as I do. As I age, I find myself unable to eat as much as before. I think the beef in the small plate would taste good, but the miso soup was a bit overcooked. I like that they serve the wakame seaweed and fried tofu separately. Despite my complaints, I plan to continue my morning routine, so I'll keep trying a bit longer. In the future, I'll try their curry and udon for breakfast. Thank you for the meal.

I wanted to eat a rice bowl dish, so I went to Nakau (Kita 24-jo store)! I ordered the classic oyakodon (regular) and hai-kara udon (small, warm). It took about 10 minutes for them to prepare my order for takeout, but it was worth the wait! This was my first Nakau meal of the year, and the oyakodon was as sweet and delicious as ever! Even the regular size had a good amount of food. The hai-kara udon was light and perfect for a cold day, really hit the spot after a long day at work. But that oyakodon! Seriously delicious! So good!

I don't have much time but I'm hungry, if I don't eat now, I'll die~. So I had a quick-to-eat beef bowl, regular size for 490 yen. I often go to Sukiya, but it's been a while since I went to Nakau. Huh? The neatly arranged onions and meat are disappointing. The broth is also quite plentiful. Hmm, well, thanks for the meal.

I stopped by Nakau, located a few minutes' walk from Sapporo Municipal Subway Namboku Line Kita 24-jo Station. Among chain restaurants, Nakau is one of my favorites, so I often find myself dropping by. On this day, I entered with the intention of having udon, but I decided to try something different and ordered the "Mentaiko Cream Udon." I handed the ticket to the staff and took a seat at the counter. After a few minutes of waiting while sipping on cold tea, the delicious Mentaiko Cream Udon was ready. The udon was cooked slightly soft. I mixed the cream and mentaiko well and enjoyed the creamy yet refreshing taste. The amount of mentaiko was just right. It's a pasta-like dish, but surprisingly, the cream and mentaiko complemented the udon well. It was a delightful meal.

Once again, I visited Nakau Sapporo Kita 24-jo store. On this day, I was in the mood for some refreshing udon late at night, so I ordered the Sudachi Udon set. This set comes with 2 chicken karage and oyakodon. The staff informed me that the chicken karage would take about 10 minutes, but that was no problem for me. While waiting, I enjoyed a cup of cold and delicious green tea. The dishes arrived, and the Sudachi Oroshi Udon was refreshing with a nice scent of sudachi. The chicken karage was large and juicy, a first for me at Nakau, and it was delicious. The oyakodon had a soft and fluffy egg, so I ended up eating it with a spoon. The restaurant had only male customers around, but as a solo female diner, I felt comfortable. This set cost 950 yen. Thank you for the meal!

I arrived near the Subway North 24 Station, feeling hungry around snack time at 3 pm. I happened to pass by this restaurant and decided to go in. I was craving the clear udon noodles from Nakau. Since it was almost 4 pm, I opted for the lunch set (500 yen) which included oyakodon (chicken and egg rice bowl) and udon noodles. I was the only customer at first, so I took my time choosing my meal ticket. The lunch set was a good deal until 4 pm, so I went for it! The staff quickly brought me cold tea as soon as I sat down. I handed over my meal ticket and within minutes, my udon noodles arrived. Despite there being only one staff member, they worked efficiently. As I was eating my udon, four more groups of customers arrived. The lone staff member handled everything smoothly. It's great that you can still have lunch until the evening. Both the udon noodles and oyakodon were delicious. Thank you for the meal.

When it gets hot, the symptoms of my designated rare disease worsen, and unfortunately, there is still no medication that suits my condition. I have been hospitalized for treatment related to my rare disease in September, January, April to May, and now again in September, October, and November. I was discharged five weeks ago, but I am already scheduled for another hospitalization in January next year. Your supportive comments have been a source of strength for me during my hospital stays, and I am truly grateful. Thank you for your continued support. [January 2022] Happy New Year! This year, I look forward to your continued support. For my first dining out experience of 2022, I visited a nationwide chain restaurant called "Nakau" with a friend. I love their "oyakodon" (chicken and egg rice bowl) dish. We visited on New Year's morning and then headed to Sapporo Park Hotel to buy hotel sweets. We arrived at Nakau around 8 am on a weekend. There were two ticket machines on the left side of the entrance, with no customers ahead of us and five customers behind us. My friend ordered the "morning tempura udon" for 280 yen. While waiting, we were served cold green tea, a nice touch. The "morning tempura udon" arrived after a few minutes. The udon broth was hot with a light, clear Kansai-style white dashi flavor. It had green onions and kamaboko (fish cake) with a freshly fried tempura on the side, served separately. The price was 280 yen (tax included). The "morning tempura udon" was very affordable, with a large tempura piece for 280 yen. Nakau is known for its oyakodon, so I wish they had it on the morning menu too. I might go for the oyakodon next time. It was delicious, thank you.

Yes, it's dinner on a day off. I decided to take a walk and have something to eat around the area near Subway Kitajuni-24 Station... but there aren't many options for those with a tight budget around Kitajuni-24. There was a ramen shop with orange walls that had relocated to Kitajuni from Maple Street, 5th West 5th Street, founded in 1953, but it remains closed due to the effects of the pandemic. So, I visited this place again today. It's just past 5 PM, and there are no other customers. Personally, I only eat the "oyakodon for 490 yen" at Nakau (laughs). Let's go with the 600 yen set with "small haikara udon." It arrives in less than 2 minutes. But can something be cooked in such a short time? It's not bad, but it feels like it's missing a bit of fluffiness... It tastes good when you sprinkle the "special scent of chili peppers" on the haikara udon. During the meal, an elderly man who came in as a solo customer was guided to the counter seat by a young male staff member, saying "Please have a seat at the counter." The elderly man complained, "Eh~!? I've never sat at a table seat before, so I want to sit at a table." Even though there was no one else in the restaurant... Well, in the end, he sat at a two-person table seat... It's all the same (laughs). Will I come back to eat oyakodon again?

It seems that "Sports Day" is not good enough, so why is that? And why is moving starting from the second Monday of October? Who came up with the Happy Monday system? Will it become a holiday from next year? When I searched on the internet, it seems that October's second Monday is still a holiday, right? So, does that mean July 23rd will be disregarded? Well, regardless of all that, it doesn't matter to me since I have to work on holidays anyway (laughs). While thinking about these things, I walk eastward on Miyanomori-Kita 24-Jo Street. This road will be the marathon course on August 7th and 8th. A fresh coat of asphalt has been applied, but it will be worn out after one winter. Usually, I eat the "Sausage and Egg Set Meal" around Kita 24-Jo Station, but sometimes I try a different restaurant, although it's a similar type of place nearby. It's been a while since I entered this Kita 24-Jo branch. The reason I chose this place is because I just saw Inogashira-san on TV channel 7, eating oyakodon and yakisoba at a fishing pond restaurant in Nagafuku, Suginami Ward. So, I had to have oyakodon, and I have a JAF member benefit coupon for a free small bowl of "hai-kara udon" (laughs). I ordered the regular size as usual... Well, it's the same no matter where you eat it, but that's how it is (laughs). The ticket machine here is a normal touch panel type, not some strange system like Sapporo Station underground mall. After a short wait, here it is. The oyakodon I saw on TV was in a square bento box, with the egg cooked quite firm, but I prefer mine with a runny yolk. The chicken also has no strange odor or toughness. The slightly soft udon with a flavorful broth is delicious. It tastes even better with shichimi pepper sprinkled on top halfway through (laughs). Thanks for the meal. I'll visit again.

"Nakau Sapporo Kita 24-jo Store"
I came to Sapporo, but it's my grandson's birthday so I can't do Foodlog activities. I only have the morning to explore, but when I try to leave, my grandson wakes up and calls me to come back soon. So I decided to try a few restaurants and embarked on a Nakau ladder. I can't do things like being one of three brothers, so I opted for takeout at the first place and chose the Kita 24-jo store for the second place. I'm aiming for morning soba. It turns out it's a taxi stand. Maybe not the best choice? But inside, there are only two people eating. I'm not a fan of the ticket machine, but since there's no line, I can take my time. The shamisen is playing loudly. If you sit at the counter, the staff automatically brings water and takes your ticket. The soba is beyond soft, to the point of being flavorless. So I'd say this soba is terrible. The broth tastes strange, the worst I've ever had. I tried adding "karashi" for some flavor, and it turned the soba bright red. The fish cake was also unappetizing. The only good thing was the meat, which was tasty. Overall, it was a terrible breakfast. Thank you for the meal. The soba is just too bad.

I stopped by a restaurant on a whim because I was feeling a bit hungry at night. There were two customers and the counter was cluttered with dishes left by the previous customers, so the staff seemed busy. I bought a ticket and sat down, but the staff didn't come over for a while. More customers arrived, but everyone was waiting patiently. Finally, a busy staff member brought me cold tea and took my ticket. After a while, my hot udon arrived. It was delicious udon. I quickly finished my meal and left the restaurant. The automatic door made a bell-like sound when it opened, but everyone (the two of us) was quiet. As a customer who only spent 280 yen, I couldn't complain. It was a bit of a unique experience, but I still want to go back to that restaurant.

I wandered around looking for breakfast after my Sunday morning walk... It's 9 o'clock. I know I said in my profile that I don't review chain restaurants, but there aren't many open at this time on weekends, so please forgive me. I ended up at "Nakau Sapporo Kita 24-jo Store." It's conveniently located just a few seconds walk from the North 24-jo Station on the Namboku Line. As soon as I walked in, I saw the usual ticket machine on the left. Today, I'm feeling motivated and planning to eat multiple meals, so I decided to go light with the "Morning Soba @290." I sat at the counter, and before I knew it, cold tea was brought to me. There were two groups of customers ahead of me, each with two people... I was shocked when my order was served in just 80 seconds. It was like a ninja move, almost as fast as standing soba. The toppings were tenkasu (tempura scraps) and kamaboko (fish cake), and I sprinkled some shichimi (Japanese seven spice) on top. Based on the quick serving time, I assumed the soba was pre-cooked, but it was surprisingly thin compared to station soba, with a slight chewiness and a generous portion. The tsuyu (dipping sauce) was not overly sweet, with a refreshing taste and a hint of bonito flavor. I've been here a few times before, but this was my first time trying their soba. For only 290 yen, it was really good value for money. Next time, I might consider getting a set with a bowl on the side. Thank you for the meal.

As a way to end a day of eating and drinking a lot, I had late-night unagi-don. I had been imagining eating it if I felt energetic. It was a deliberate choice. The night before the midsummer day of the ox last month, I felt unsatisfied at Matsuya, so I went to this place 30 meters away. The price was the same, 850 yen. No pickles or miso soup were included. A small packet of sansho pepper is a common addition. A piece of tamagoyaki was served, creating the illusion that one side of the eel was covered. I was a bit drunk, so my taste buds may not have been reliable, but I felt that the company had a strong intention to serve authentic unagi-don. Thank you for the meal!

Ordered the braised pork bowl with a side of udon noodles. It's not often that I get to enjoy braised pork at home, so being able to easily eat it like this is a treat. The flavor is rich and the meat is tender and delicious. And of course, the reliable udon noodles never disappoint. I always enjoy them and never get tired of their simple yet delicious taste.

When it gets hot, the symptoms worsen, it is a designated rare disease by the government. As we entered December, the hospitals and various commercial facilities are getting hotter due to increased heating, causing discomfort. Unfortunately, there is no medicine that suits me yet. Likes and comments may be delayed, so thank you in advance. In December 2019, "Nakau" is a nationwide chain of restaurants specializing in rice bowls and udon. Personally, I love the "Oyakodon" at "Nakau". I visited with my usual companion for a takeout. This restaurant is located near the subway Namboku Line "Kita 24-jo Station" in Kita-ku, Sapporo. Please check the exact location on Tabelog. We visited around 11:30 am on a weekday. There are two ticket machines at the entrance. My usual companion ordered the "Oyakodon (takeout) large" and the "Haikara Udon small". While waiting, we were served cold green tea, a nice service. In a few minutes, the "Oyakodon (takeout) large" and "Haikara Udon small" were ready. Since around 2014, the takeout has been properly separated. Oyakodon (takeout) large: Separate packaging for takeout. The container can be microwaved. Weight: Actual measurement Top: Oyako 216g Bottom: Rice 295g Total: 511g The oyako part is tender and still good. The chicken is tender and quite good. It has a moderate saltiness that goes well with the rice. There are some vegetables in it too. The rice seems to be cheap rice but no problem. Price: Large 560 yen (tax included) Haikara Udon (takeout) small: Separate packaging for takeout. The container can be microwaved. Weight: Actual measurement Top: Udon 136g Bottom: Soup (forgot to measure) The udon soup is light in color like a white dashi. It has a flavorful taste from the dashi. It comes with green onions, tempura flakes, and fish cake, which is very convenient for a quick meal. Price: Small 200 yen (tax included) The separate packaging for rice bowls is very pleasing. It allows you to enjoy the dish in good condition. Just like the mapo tofu, the separate packaging for "Oyakodon" is great. The "Oyakodon" is made to my liking. It remains juicy and delicious even after some time. "Nakau" is truly a place for Oyakodon. I definitely want to try the separate packaging for "Oyakodon" again next time. It was delicious, thank you for the meal.

I visited for breakfast. It was my first time commuting by subway in a while, so I stopped by. It's open 24 hours, so it's convenient. They have a breakfast menu, but this time I ordered the "Pork Kimchi Udon (small)." I chose something light for breakfast. Udon with kimchi! I was surprised by this combination, but it was surprisingly delicious♫ It was a small size, so I finished it quickly. I think I could have gone for a regular size. I want to come back to eat again. Thank you for the meal٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

First visit on November 24, 2018. Sapporo is also cold today. (>_<) I felt like eating oyakodon for the first time in a while, so I visited this restaurant. The restaurant is about a 2-minute walk from the Sapporo Municipal Subway Namboku Line Kita 24-jo Station. I ordered the oyakodon, of course. It's been a while since I've had oyakodon from Nakau, so I'm looking forward to it. (^O^) Oyakodon (regular) 490 yen. The appearance is quite good. The chicken is tender and soaked in broth. The egg is perfectly cooked. Fluffy texture. It's delicious. (^o^) Oyakodon for 490 yen! The cost performance is also good. (^O^) My body has warmed up. Thank you for the meal. I will come back again. (^O^)
