JR Kitami Station is a 15-6 minute walk away. From Kitami Station, head north and turn left at the temple, the shop is right there. It is a street-level store at an intersection. A two-story building with a residence and a shop. The interior has dim lighting and jazz music playing. The shop owner's carefully selected furnishings are plentiful. There are counter seats and table seats, with partitions on the walls creating a semi-private space that can be used for small meetings. I visited on a Saturday evening. There were 6-7 customers chatting. It seems to be a local gathering place. I ordered a blend coffee for 450 yen. They asked if I wanted it brewed stronger. It was my first time, so I left it to them. I was seated at a table so I couldn't see the details of their work, but their actions were faithful to the basics. It was a pour-over style. After dripping, they even offered a taste test. The coffee was mild and delicious without any strong flavors.

This is a café located in the beautiful town of Bihoro in Kitami. Across the street is the Kitami Women's Center, and nearby is the Bihoro Park. Although it is a long-established store that has been open since 1986, I never really noticed it because I rarely pass by this area. The exterior looks like a trendy café. Inside, there are counter seats, table seats on the left side of the entrance, and towards the back. There are bicycles inside, giving it an American-style vibe maybe? There are about 4-5 customers who seem to be regulars. They are all smoking, so it's quite smoky inside. It's great for smokers but might be a bit tough for non-smokers.
[About the menu]
The food menu includes pasta, curry, pilaf, fried rice, hamburger, pork chop, toast, etc. Everything is priced at 1000 yen or less, so it's reasonably priced. I ordered the Napolitan (700 yen). When I come to this kind of old-fashioned café, I always crave Napolitan. The pasta is a bit thin. The ingredients are bacon, onion, green pepper, very simple but that's how Napolitan should be. The ketchup has a slightly sweet and glossy taste. The pasta had a nice wheat flavor and was delicious.
