Hmm? I've passed by many times but haven't uploaded anything. There are only two parking spaces. I usually only ordered the lunch set with dim sum, which comes with a good deal, but I got a little tired of always having the same four dishes - oil-drizzled chicken, shrimp chili, sweet and sour pork, and mapo tofu - and feeling like the portion was a bit small, so this time I opted for individual menu items, even though it's more expensive and not as cost-effective. The five-ingredient sauce yakisoba was delicious with the burnt noodles. The tantanmen was amazing! It's a definite three-finger dish! It already has a bit of vinegar in it from the start, so it has a sour taste, which may divide opinions, but I liked the rich and savory flavor. The meat miso also had a strong ginger flavor. We all chose noodles, but my son, who loves to eat, wanted fried rice, so we went with the XO sauce fried rice with plenty of shrimp, scallops, and squid. If it's only about 100 yen more, I'd choose this over the pork and pickled vegetables, crab and lettuce! I can no longer order the lunch set. It was really delicious.

Tantan noodles ¥1,100 Extra white rice (free refill) ¥180 Total ¥1,280 It was delicious. The tantan noodles had a strong sour taste, which wasn't exactly to my liking, but it was still tasty. I think anything I eat here would be delicious. I want to try the fried rice or the rice with mixed sauce.

It's been a while since I went out to Hassamu. The purpose is just to have lunch (lol). The Japan Seishu's Jumi Miso factory in front of Hassamu Chuo Station is being dismantled... The Jumi Miso brand itself is being produced by Iwata Brewing and sold by Japan Seishu through an OEM method... I wonder what will happen to the factory site? So, I arrived at the station, it's a strange station design... The platform is on the 1st floor and the ticket gate is on the 2nd floor, and the exit is on the 1st floor as expected. It's a decent traffic area on Tekko Kogendoori, but there are no traffic lights. It's about 350 meters from the station, about a 6-minute walk. It's just north of Hassamu Shrine. I arrived a little past the opening time of 11:30. The exterior and interior of the restaurant are not like the typical Chinese restaurants. It's more like a stylish restaurant or cafe, I guess? There were no other customers, and I was shown to a table, but personally, I prefer the counter seats for a more relaxed atmosphere, so I'll sit there. Well, there are only 3 counter seats. So, I ordered a lunch set menu. Choose from 4 types: 1. Small shrimp and egg in chili sauce, 2. Sichuan-style mapo tofu, 3. Pork fillet sweet and sour, 4. Chicken thigh fried. I chose "Small shrimp and egg in chili sauce" today. The other lunch menu items include a five-ingredient ankake yakisoba, five-ingredient ankake rice, tantanmen, 3 kinds of fried rice, and Tianjin rice, all priced at 990 yen including tax. The menu and table condiments are clean. There is no greasy or slimy feeling that is typical of small Chinese restaurants (lol). While waiting, more and more customers arrived. Oh, there was a previous customer in the semi-private room in the back? The restaurant is filled with the savory smell of stir-fry. This smell alone tells me it's definitely a good restaurant. It arrived in about 10 minutes. In addition to the main dish, there is a salad, dim sum of baozi and spring rolls, egg soup, pickles, and almond jelly for dessert. The amount of rice in the bowl is small, but it's all you can eat, so no problem (lol). For some reason, I always start with the rice. Oh!? Even though my mouth was open, I finally encountered delicious rice after a long time (lol). This is a hit. After all, the owner is the former head chef of Sapporo Grand Hotel. When I looked into it, when looking for good Chinese restaurants in Sapporo, there are many in hotels. And they are quite expensive, so I have only been to the hotel across from the Hokkaido Prefectural Assembly. The shrimp chili sauce is not spicy, it's mild and has an exquisite flavor. Are these really small shrimp? They are just big, plump shrimp (lol). The egg soup is delicious too. I wonder what it is? It's not a simple seasoning. The baozi is juicy, and the spring rolls are crispy with a soft filling... It's good (lol). The pickles are soy sauce pickled daikon, right? Yeah, it's so delicious that I had to get a refill of rice. Oh, this white rice is seriously delicious. A restaurant that serves delicious rice can be trusted (lol). Isn't this set for 1,100 yen including tax a great deal? Next time, I'll have to try the ankake yakisoba too. Thank you for the meal.

Second visit. I went for lunch again this time. I ordered the lunch set sweet and sour pork. It comes with salad, soup, spring rolls, xiaolongbao, pickles, and almond jelly. The pork in the sweet and sour dish is tender, and the flavorful sauce goes well with the rice. By the way, you can get free refills of rice.

I wanted to eat Chinese food, so I decided to try this restaurant that I had been curious about. There are only about two parking spaces available, so it's lucky if you find one open. The restaurant has about 6 table seats, and there seems to be seating in the back as well, maybe a raised seating area? We were seated at a table without having to wait. We decided to share the lunch menu with my husband, choosing the Tianjin rice, char siu and pickled vegetable fried rice, and also ordered a set of two spring rolls. We were informed that the fried rice would take some time. First, the Tianjin rice arrived. The egg was fluffy and the sauce had a gentle flavor. A simple menu of white rice, egg, and sauce, but when you eat it, you'll be impressed by how delicious it is. It's a taste that makes you feel happy. Definitely going to come back for this! Next, the spring rolls. The crispy skin with the gooey filling inside was delicious. Also a gentle flavor. The fried rice was different from what we expected, not too heavily seasoned, and we were able to enjoy it until the end. It goes well with side dishes too. Another outstanding dish! This restaurant serves high-quality Chinese cuisine. I will definitely come back again!

Ordered the lunch set of Sichuan mapo tofu. The photo is not great, but the dish has a large white space around it and a reddish oil covering the edges. It looks like a beautiful mapo tofu. The flavor of the Sichuan peppercorns is strong, adding a nice kick. The numbing spiciness is suitable for everyone, and the aroma is very nice. The zhajiang sauce has a strong Maillard flavor, similar to the traditional Chen mapo tofu. The saltiness is a bit mild for mapo tofu, but the richness of the tofu itself is excellent. It may be more suitable for mature tastes, but if it claims to be Sichuan-style, it could have a stronger kick. Personally, I prefer a spicier mapo tofu. The xiaolongbao and soup on the side were also delicious. The almond jelly had a nostalgic taste, and I liked the syrupy texture. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I have eaten Chinese food at various restaurants, but Aoyama stands out as being on a different level. It is one of my top 3 favorite Chinese restaurants for lunch in Sapporo. The restaurant opens at 11:30 am and has only two parking spaces next to the shop. I arrived 10 minutes early to secure a parking spot as it tends to fill up quickly. The staff greeted us warmly and seated us at the back of the restaurant. We had decided on our orders in advance: Sweet and Sour Pork Lunch (1,100 yen), Same for my companion, Stir-Fried Noodles with Thick Sauce (990 yen) for another companion, and Fried Chicken with Oyster Sauce Lunch (1,100 yen) for the last companion. The lunch set includes salad, soup, two appetizers, pickled radish, dessert (almond jelly), and rice (free refills). It's a great deal for 1,100 yen. The food was served within 12-15 minutes. The Sweet and Sour Pork was delicious with a flavorful sauce and generous portions of meat. The soup was outstanding, and the appetizers, pickled radish, and dessert were all tasty. The free rice refill option was a nice touch. The chef at Aoyama used to be the head chef at Sapporo Grand Hotel, which explains the high quality of the food. Despite the current economic challenges, the lunch price has remained the same, showing the chef's dedication. I initially looked for cost-effective and tasty restaurants on food review websites, but now I prioritize delicious food even if the price is higher. Aoyama is worth every penny, and I will continue to support them. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone craving delicious Chinese cuisine.

I had been thinking of going there for a while, but I became a homebody due to heavy snow and such... Finally, I chose from four lunch sets and decided on mapo tofu because my body was craving it. The sauce was a bit strong, but the taste was delicious. Next, I'll try the ankake yakisoba and see how it compares.

The dishes made by the chef who honed his skills at the Aoyama Hotel, opened in 2015 near Hassamu Chuo Station, are all delicious. And what's even more pleasing is that they are wallet-friendly. This is my third visit. There are only two parking spaces next to the shop, so I aim to arrive around 11:30 am. Just managed to get in one space, phew! I first visited Aoyama four years ago, then visited again (but didn't review as I had the same dish), and now this is my third visit, probably after a gap of over three years. As I enter the restaurant, I notice that there seem to be more staff than before. They cheerfully guide us to our seats. I look through the lunch menu, which consists of two pages - one with a lunch set for 1,100 yen with four options, and the other with individual items. The best part is the free rice refill offer. Although I can now be satisfied with just one bowl of rice, it's nice to have the option for seconds when you feel like eating more. Even if you don't order a lunch set, if you order a single bowl of rice for 165 yen, the refill is also free. This shows the owner's kindness in wanting customers to eat plenty. It's a great service considering that many Chinese restaurants charge around 300 yen just for a bowl of rice. The rice here is slightly firm and delicious. The menu also states that the dressings and spices are homemade, and this unique tangy dressing on the salad reflects that. The vegetables are crunchy and fresh. Next, the hot and tasty soup arrives. It has a refreshing taste with a slight thickness. The egg is delicate, and the soup has a perfect balance of saltiness, with no rough edges, allowing the umami flavor to shine through. The dish I ordered, small shrimp and egg in chili sauce, was being cooked. It arrives with five prawns that are well-prepared and delicious. The chili sauce is sweet and savory, not too spicy, with a hint of garlic aroma after the initial heat. The large portion of rice seemed like a lot at first, but it disappeared quickly as I enjoyed the dish. The dim sum was served next, consisting of a spring roll and a xiaolongbao. The spring roll was crispy with a simple filling, allowing me to adjust the flavor with soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil on the table. The xiaolongbao, or soup dumplings, were a burst of umami flavors. The slightly chewy skin gave way to a rich soup that exploded in my mouth. The balance between the skin's texture and the flavorful soup inside was perfect. The individual prices for the spring roll (2 pieces) and xiaolongbao (2 pieces) are 440 yen and 400 yen, respectively. This 1,100 yen set menu includes items worth 420 yen.

Located near JR Hassamu-Chuo Station in the Hassamu area, this Chinese restaurant is situated along the Ginnan Street. While parking can be a bit challenging due to limited space on the side of the building, there is parking available. I had heard from a friend that the food here was delicious, and although I had attempted to visit for lunch in the past, I was always turned away due to it being full. This time, for dinner on a weekday, we were able to walk in without a reservation. The restaurant has a calm atmosphere with table seating and even a slightly raised seating area, but it doesn't feel too formal. With a wide variety of menu options, we decided to try the "Mapo Tofu (1,320 yen)," "Homemade Char Siu and Pickled Vegetable Fried Rice (1,045 yen)," "Xiaolongbao (2 pieces) 396 yen," and "Stir-Fried Noodles with Small Shrimp in Thick Sauce (1,045 yen)." My wife and I shared these dishes, and I found the Mapo Tofu to have just the right amount of spiciness and numbing sensation, making it quite delicious. The fried rice had a nice fluffy texture, and although the seasoning may have initially seemed a bit lacking, it gradually became just right as we ate, keeping us interested until the last bite. While the prices may be a bit on the higher side, the elegant flavors of the dishes felt more like hotel-style Chinese cuisine rather than casual Chinese fare, making everything we tried taste delicious. The lunch menu also seemed like a good deal, so I would like to try it if I have the chance.

Today, I finally visited the Chinese restaurant Shokusai Aoyama that I had been wanting to go to for a while! The parking space here is limited to only two cars, so I had to postpone my visit a few times due to not finding a spot. Each time, my anticipation grew... but finally, today I was able to come! I originally planned to order either the vegetable ankake yakisoba or the vegetable ankake rice, but when I saw the menu, I suddenly felt like having tantanmen, so I ordered it with white rice. I've always been curious about tantanmen served at Chinese restaurants, as it's different from what you get at ramen shops. I'm excited to find out if ordering white rice was the right choice. The dish arrived in about 10 minutes after ordering! Oh, this was definitely the right choice. I can tell just by looking at it!! After trying the soup, I could confirm it. It had the perfect level of spiciness and a rich sesame flavor, just as I had hoped. The thin noodles had a nice chewy texture that paired well with the soup. I will definitely come back here whenever I crave tantanmen in the future!! I had a delicious lunch after a long time.

The other day, I had a belated birthday celebration with my father, mother, and sister. It was a bit embarrassing to be celebrated by my family at this age, but I was happy. This restaurant in Nishi-ku, Hassamu, is said to be a authentic Chinese restaurant opened by someone who trained at the Sapporo Grand Hotel. Even on a weekday lunchtime, it was super crowded. The food came out quickly, and the customer service was excellent. It was a very satisfying restaurant experience. I may have had a few too many beers during lunch, but that's our little secret. ❤️

Lunchtime, feeling like having Ankake Yakisoba today. I spotted a Chinese cuisine sign, so I decided to come here. The restaurant was almost full, with only seats available at the counter. The customers were mostly middle-aged women dressed slightly elegantly. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was stylish. It felt a bit out of place for the men in work clothes. I ordered the Ankake Yakisoba as planned. It arrived quickly. The noodles were slightly thin with a nice char on them. The sauce had more of a ginger flavor than sweetness, giving it a refreshing taste. It wasn't exactly to my liking as I prefer sweeter sauce, but it might be good for those who prefer a lighter sauce. I'll come back next time when I'm dressed in a dress shirt.

In the West district, there is a Chinese restaurant that serves homemade char siu and stir-fried rice with pickled vegetables. The rice is cooked just right with a light saltiness and minimal oil, but still satisfying. The char siu is finely chopped and not too bold, while the pickled vegetables stand out the most. The tantanmen has a rich sesame flavor and a thick white broth, with a subtle spiciness and vinegar that are well-balanced. The minced meat and chopped ginger go well with the thin straight noodles, creating a creamy and rich tantanmen. The lunch set allows you to choose from four main dishes, such as chicken karaage with Yurin sauce, which has tender meat and a sweet vinegar sauce. The spring rolls have a thick and crunchy skin with a vegetable filling, while the xiaolongbao has a soft and mushy filling with thin skin. The egg drop soup is gentle and elegant, and the almond jelly is more like almond-flavored jelly. The pickled mustard greens are quite salty, and the meal comes with two beers and a snack of soy sauce pickled radish. The lunch menu is limited, but the service is fast and the turnover rate is high. The Chinese dishes here are not greasy or heavily seasoned, making them suitable for those who do not like heavy Chinese cuisine.

I went to China Shokuzai Aoyama for the first time and tried their lunch set - Sichuan-style Mapo Tofu for 1,100 yen including tax. The interior of the restaurant is very clean and cozy. The Mapo Tofu was truly authentic Sichuan style and delicious. It had a rich flavor with a good amount of Sichuan pepper, and most importantly, it was spicy! The minced meat and tofu were a great combination, and the tofu had a surprisingly nice texture. The lunch set also came with Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) and spring rolls. The Xiao Long Bao had juicy meat filling and the spring rolls were packed full. They had a slightly firm texture and got really spicy halfway through the meal. Overall, I managed to finish the spicy Mapo Tofu and enjoyed it. It's great that they offer four different lunch sets to choose from. Thank you for the meal!

We visited a Chinese restaurant that had received high ratings from many people. The exterior of the restaurant looked stylish and not like a typical Chinese restaurant. The interior was also well-decorated and had a nice ambiance. We ordered the lunch set which included Szechuan-style mapo tofu, and it was a great deal for 1000 yen. The mapo tofu had a perfect level of spiciness and a rich flavor. The set also came with rice, salad, soup, dim sum, pickles, and dessert. The other dishes we tried, such as the five-ingredient ankake yakisoba and crab meat and lettuce fried rice, were also delicious. Overall, we were very satisfied with the food and would love to visit this restaurant again.

A friendly Chinese restaurant where you can enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine relatively affordably, with Chef Aoyama, who has a background as the head chef at the Sapporo Grand Hotel, showcasing his skills. - Yakisoba with five ingredients in thick sauce (soy sauce flavor) for 900 yen - Crab meat and lettuce fried rice for 900 yen The yakisoba with thick sauce has a taste reminiscent of high-end hotel Chinese cuisine. The rich sauce is elegant yet assertive, balancing well with the ingredients, and the noodles are cooked to perfection. Of course, the sauce doesn't get watery until the last bite. The fried rice is light and not greasy at all. The balance of saltiness, umami, and flavor is excellent. However, I felt that the crab meat and lettuce lacked a bit of presence in the dish. The chef, who has experience in famous restaurants, exudes a modest aura and provides excellent hospitality. The staff's service is friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. The prices are approachable, but the flavors are authentic and generally elegant. If this restaurant were nearby, it would definitely become a regular spot to visit.

It was Good Couple's Day, so we treated ourselves to a meal here. It had been a while and we were excited. The Chinese food here is a bit pricey, but the quality of the dishes makes it worth it. Spring rolls, crab omelette, rice with thick sauce, Bang Bang Chicken... classic dishes with a unique twist. Especially the Bang Bang Chicken, once you try it, you won't want anything else.

Finally, the day has come. I tried to visit this restaurant three times before, but it was closed twice due to holidays and once because they ran out of ingredients. It took about three years, but I finally managed to dine in. We were seated at a table for two and I noticed that they only serve lunch menu during the day. I ordered the Sichuan-style Mapo Tofu, while my companion chose the Chili Sauce Stewed Small Shrimp and Egg. It was a lucky coincidence that our choices matched, so we decided to share. My companion's dish arrived first and I tried a bit. The Chili Sauce Stewed Small Shrimp and Egg had a perfect seasoning and the small shrimp were delicious. When the Mapo Tofu arrived, I also tried a bit. It was a bit spicy due to the strong flavor of Sichuan pepper, which made me cough occasionally. The meal also came with spring rolls, soup dumplings, salad, and almond jelly. For a thousand yen lunch, it was delicious with a variety of dishes, and I was glad I came. Lastly, the water we drank had a slightly sweet taste. When I asked, I found out it was filtered tap water. I wish they could tell me about their water filter. Thank you for the meal.

Lunch set for 1,100 yen (tax included) where you can choose from 4 main dishes (1. Mapo tofu Szechuan style, 2. Chicken Karaage with Yurin sauce, 3. Chili sauce simmered with small shrimp and eggs, 4. Sweet and sour pork). The set includes salad, dim sum, soup, pickles, dessert, and steamed rice. On this day, the choices were chili sauce simmered with small shrimp and eggs, and sweet and sour pork. The dim sum included soup dumplings and spring rolls. No matter which main dish you choose from the lunch set, it's all delicious. In addition to the set, they also offer a la carte menu items such as ankake yakisoba and fried rice. The owner was formerly the head chef at Sapporo Grand Hotel's "Kokaku" restaurant. You can also enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine in the evening.
