It's been a while since I went out to Hassamu. The purpose is just to have lunch (lol). The Japan Seishu's Jumi Miso factory in front of Hassamu Chuo Station is being dismantled... The Jumi Miso brand itself is being produced by Iwata Brewing and sold by Japan Seishu through an OEM method... I wonder what will happen to the factory site? So, I arrived at the station, it's a strange station design... The platform is on the 1st floor and the ticket gate is on the 2nd floor, and the exit is on the 1st floor as expected. It's a decent traffic area on Tekko Kogendoori, but there are no traffic lights. It's about 350 meters from the station, about a 6-minute walk. It's just north of Hassamu Shrine. I arrived a little past the opening time of 11:30. The exterior and interior of the restaurant are not like the typical Chinese restaurants. It's more like a stylish restaurant or cafe, I guess? There were no other customers, and I was shown to a table, but personally, I prefer the counter seats for a more relaxed atmosphere, so I'll sit there. Well, there are only 3 counter seats. So, I ordered a lunch set menu. Choose from 4 types: 1. Small shrimp and egg in chili sauce, 2. Sichuan-style mapo tofu, 3. Pork fillet sweet and sour, 4. Chicken thigh fried. I chose "Small shrimp and egg in chili sauce" today. The other lunch menu items include a five-ingredient ankake yakisoba, five-ingredient ankake rice, tantanmen, 3 kinds of fried rice, and Tianjin rice, all priced at 990 yen including tax. The menu and table condiments are clean. There is no greasy or slimy feeling that is typical of small Chinese restaurants (lol). While waiting, more and more customers arrived. Oh, there was a previous customer in the semi-private room in the back? The restaurant is filled with the savory smell of stir-fry. This smell alone tells me it's definitely a good restaurant. It arrived in about 10 minutes. In addition to the main dish, there is a salad, dim sum of baozi and spring rolls, egg soup, pickles, and almond jelly for dessert. The amount of rice in the bowl is small, but it's all you can eat, so no problem (lol). For some reason, I always start with the rice. Oh!? Even though my mouth was open, I finally encountered delicious rice after a long time (lol). This is a hit. After all, the owner is the former head chef of Sapporo Grand Hotel. When I looked into it, when looking for good Chinese restaurants in Sapporo, there are many in hotels. And they are quite expensive, so I have only been to the hotel across from the Hokkaido Prefectural Assembly. The shrimp chili sauce is not spicy, it's mild and has an exquisite flavor. Are these really small shrimp? They are just big, plump shrimp (lol). The egg soup is delicious too. I wonder what it is? It's not a simple seasoning. The baozi is juicy, and the spring rolls are crispy with a soft filling... It's good (lol). The pickles are soy sauce pickled daikon, right? Yeah, it's so delicious that I had to get a refill of rice. Oh, this white rice is seriously delicious. A restaurant that serves delicious rice can be trusted (lol). Isn't this set for 1,100 yen including tax a great deal? Next time, I'll have to try the ankake yakisoba too. Thank you for the meal.
