When passing by the store, there were several types of dried persimmon seeds lined up. If you choose four, you get a good deal. I remember my friend liking dried persimmon seeds, so I'll buy some. They have a long shelf life, easy to carry around at room temperature, and make a nice souvenir. The staff are also very kind.

Lately, I've been enjoying some treats from our business partners as a dessert after meals. Today, I received a Nut Collection from Ikeda Foods. The soy sauce-flavored roasted macadamia nuts were really delicious and I found myself hooked on them. There are also cashew nuts and almonds in the collection, but personally, I think the macadamia nuts are the best.

- This is a long-established confectionery shop founded in 1948! You may have seen their TV commercials around Setsubun season in Sapporo.
- In addition to confectionery, as the title suggests, they also offer nuts!
- I forgot to take a picture, but I always buy the "Giant Corn" here! The saltiness is just right and it's delicious!

- Basil Pepper Cashews (Small), 280 yen
As the name suggests, the basil and pepper combination is delicious! I think it's more suitable as a beer snack than a snack. Thank you for the meal!

This is Tokyu near Sapporo Station. After purchasing thank-you gifts for those who have taken care of me, I took a little stroll. I buy beans to eat at home. My family loves beans so much that beans and ice cream make up a large portion of our household budget. Ikeda Foods' beans are famous. There are various patterns and just looking at them is enjoyable. This time, I bought wasabi cashews and basil pepper, which are rare and I wanted to try them! I wanted to buy a lot, but my wife stopped me! If we have them, we'll eat them right away, so I can't resist. The wasabi is a bit mild but has a kick to it. The basil pepper has a bold flavor! The sweetness of the cashews is the base, so it surprisingly goes well together. In our house, these two disappear in an instant... Thank you for the meal!

I was looking for something with a long shelf life in the department store basement. Something that I could offer to the Otaru lady for a long time without worrying. And something festive for New Year's. I bought the Shofuku Sasa from Sasaya Iori, which is good until the end of March, but beans last even longer. When she handed it to me, the lady said, "The shelf life is until June." It's a pretty popular shop, and while waiting, I was thanked for waiting and could smile. There was also a set of zodiac signs, but this one was divided into smaller portions, which would be easier for my father to eat. The Seven Lucky Gods beans have a lot of black beans in them. The nuts sold by weight were also popular.

Until February 2014, photos and notes are posted. This is a bean confectionery store located in Tokyu Department Store in front of Sapporo Station. I usually buy from the factory direct store, but this year I didn't have time, so I bought it here. In Hokkaido, it seems that you can scatter beans on the snow and pick them up later. Peanuts are the main item. Is it efficient? However, in recent years, roasted beans and individually wrapped bean confectioneries are also widely available. It's true that if they are individually wrapped, it's okay to pick them up and eat them, but... There doesn't seem to be any effect on the demons (laughs). Nevertheless, I like the roasted beans and bean confectionery here, so I bought the Setsubun product "Oni no Mamori - Small" for 525 yen. It's a mix pack of 10 types of bean confectionery. (But there are also small nori rice crackers mixed in - a mystery.) The most popular is "Roasted Cashews" it seems. The crispy texture and fragrant flavor are light and easy to eat, but still full of bean-like umami. Especially popular with my friend's children is "bean confectionery". Without saying anything, they didn't notice, but almost all of it went into his stomach... Children who like bean confectionery may be rare nowadays? Personally, I love "roasted soybeans" the most, so I'm okay with just buying simple black beans or soybeans separately. The service was appropriate. Thank you for the meal. I'll come back because I love roasted soybeans.

While walking through the department store basement in May 2013, I came across a shop selling nostalgic bean snacks and decided to stop by. It was Ikebata Shokuhin, a local Sapporo establishment founded in 1948. They had snacks like Uguisu beans that I used to enjoy as a child. It's a different company from Ikebata Bambi in Otaru, which is now run by a different company. This shop is located in the JR Sapporo Station area in Chuo Ward, Sapporo, on the basement floor of Tokyu Department Store. For the exact location, please check on Tabelog. This was my first visit to Ikebata Shokuhin at Tokyu. They had a variety of bean snacks, including Karinto. I also saw Karinto from Hamazuka Seika, a specialist shop in Ebetsu. I heard that even this shop sells them in a red demon style during Setsubun. Quite an impact! I bought some beans and Karinto. The Nori Mix included bean snacks with a seaweed flavor, nori-wrapped rice crackers, and salted kelp mix. The seaweed flavor was delightful. A pack costs 168 yen. The Sapporo Karinto Maple Sugar was a gentle-tasting Karinto made with maple sugar. It's not too sweet and easy to eat. A 60g pack costs 357 yen. During a sale period, I received a complimentary bean snack shown in the photo. The bean snacks had a nostalgic charm and a traditional Japanese feel. They may not be as flashy as cakes, but they're worth supporting. Next time, I'd like to try the Cashew Series, including Ichimi-yaki Cashew, introduced by Miki Maya on the TV show "Hanamaru Market." Thank you for the meal.

I used to think that I had to go all the way to the manufacturer's place to buy the delicious snacks I had at a relative's house, as it said "factory direct delivery" on the packaging. But then I found out that they have stores at Sapporo Tokyu Department Store and Marui Imai in Odori, where they offer a variety of samples. I always think it's a safe choice for gifts for elderly people, and as a bean lover myself, I can't resist snacking on the small packs. My favorite is the cashew nuts. It seems to be the most popular, and even though it's a bit pricier than what you find at the supermarket, I treat myself to a little luxury by buying it occasionally.

I have loved "onoroke mame" since I was a child, and I finally had some after a long time. I always eat it as a tea snack. While enjoying "Kitasho Aji Yakikashu" with a friend who always eats it as a tea snack, I wondered why it's called "onoroke mame." I looked it up and found out that in the past during the manufacturing process, the beans would stick together when the soy sauce was applied to the coating. It looked like they were getting along well, so that's how the name came about. The crunchy coating and cashew nuts, along with the fragrant soy sauce, make this snack delicious. I couldn't stop eating it. I now want to try more bean snacks like this. Since it's available for delivery, I want to buy a lot in bulk. Thank you for the meal.

I always receive souvenirs from people living in Hokkaido, and each time I'm surprised by the variety of Hokkaido souvenirs. This time, I received a set of individually packed bean snacks and nuts. There are four types: roasted cashews, wasabi cashews, seven lucky beans, and roasted squid beans. The roasted cashews have a hint of soy sauce, and the wasabi cashews have a spiciness that hits your nose more than expected! I think all four types go well with hot tea, but personally, I think they also go well with alcohol. However, they might be a bit too strong for small children.

I thought it was "Ikeda Bambi's Peanut Roll" and received it as a gift because I couldn't buy it. It's always nice to receive gifts, especially ones that won't spoil. It had "Ikeda Food" written on it and seemed like something from Ikeda Bambi, but I decided to look it up to be sure. Turns out, it was something different and I felt like my whole world turned upside down. It's from Sapporo, not Otaru, and I heard they went out of business. The packaging was nice, and even though I didn't like the traditional snack with soy sauce and seaweed, it was more refined than before. It also came with dried kelp. I'm not a big fan of this snack, but I accidentally grabbed it first. Next, I tried something like Ikapee, which I love. It was a perfect snack, except for the blurry picture on the packaging. It paired well with beer.
