I had some business in Sapporo and decided to visit this restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. It was lunchtime and the restaurant was full with one group in front of us and three groups behind us. We were seated and our food was served promptly. They even made the soup a bit cooler for my son and provided a separate plate for him, making it easy for families with children to dine there. The service was very attentive and left a great impression on me. The simple Chinese noodles were delicious with tender chashu, and each component of the dish was to my liking. And all this for only 590 yen, so the cost performance is excellent. The miso katsu don, with its sweet sauce and a touch of mustard, was also a great combination. The side dishes were surprisingly delicious and varied, so I look forward to going back and enjoying them again. It's been a while since I've been so satisfied with a restaurant overall. I definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

Visited around 1 pm on a Sunday afternoon, was able to eat without waiting (a few people lined up after us). The Chinese soba was 690 yen, and the additive-free option was also 690 yen - an unbelievable pricing. The broth had a strong flavor and was gentle on the body. The pork cutlet rice bowl was 390 yen - I usually don't order side dishes with ramen, but this one caught my attention. The combination of cutlet, sauce, cabbage, and rice was excellent. The prices were too cheap. It had been a while since I had ramen and a rice bowl, so my stomach was completely full. I found a restaurant with the best taste and cost performance. This place is sure to have long lines in the future. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Higashi Togan-an in Higashi Ward, Sapporo in the morning. For lunch, I had their Chinese soba noodles for 690 yen, topped with back fat for an additional 120 yen. I also ordered the sauce cutlet rice bowl for 390 yen. The noodles, made from Hokkaido wheat, are slightly chewy and straight. The soy sauce broth with bonito flavor is refreshing and delicious. The large slices of roast pork are very satisfying, and the thinly sliced bamboo shoots have a nice crunch. I always end up ordering the mini rice bowl when I come here. The freshly fried cutlet is hot and juicy. I appreciate that they serve it in a ceramic bowl with a lid, which keeps the dish warm. The generous amount of mustard is a nice touch. Even though they raised the prices a bit, it's still a good deal.

This time I ordered the following dishes: - Chicken ramen - Pork back fat topping - Pork cutlet rice bowl The chicken ramen had a rich chicken flavor that really stood out. The pork back fat topping may not have been necessary. The Chinese noodles at Tokoan are great, but this one is just as amazing. Hmm, next time I'll add some pork dumplings. The pork cutlet had a crispy coating and the meat was tender, it was really good. Hmm, I'm so full now!

The visual presentation looks delicious. It didn't disappoint in taste and didn't leave me feeling heavy. While it may not have a shocking punch, I was captivated by the deliciousness of the dish. The crunchy texture of the menma and the melt-in-your-mouth chashu that isn't as rich as it looks were also great. I would like to try the tare katsudon with extra nori topping next time.

Chuka Soba: 690 yen (with extra pork wonton: +200 yen) is very cheap. It's even mentioned that the price has increased but it's still affordable. The price went up due to the cost of dried fish doubling, from 640 yen to 690 yen, making it difficult for the restaurant. However, it's still considered cheap. You can't get a large serving of noodles. After 11:30, you can only choose one menu item, which must be the Chuka Soba. Toppings and rice bowl options are available. The rice bowls, such as the Tare Katsu Don, Chicken Karaage Don, and Katsu Don, are all priced at an amazing 390 yen each (tax included). You can't order just a rice bowl. Despite the low price, the portions are generous and the food is delicious. The soup is light and made with dried fish, easy to finish. The noodles are tasty and plentiful, with about 10 thin strips of bamboo shoots, green onions, and 2 slices of pork chashu. The chashu is especially delicious, and you can add more as a topping. I'll try the rice bowls next time. Other menu items that caught my eye: - Chicken Chuka Soba: 690 yen (available until 11:30) - Tare Katsu Don: 390 yen - Chicken Karaage Don: 390 yen - Chashu Don: 390 yen

HIGASHI was very good, just like SHINKOTONI. The menu is similar, but HIGASHI has fewer seats. Since it was past 11:30, I could only order the Chuka Soba and Katsudon. I couldn't wait inside the restaurant, so I waited near the food ticket machine. After about 15 minutes, I was seated. The owner was handling everything by himself, efficiently serving the popular ramen and donburi dishes. The ramen arrived first, with flavorful broth and thin straight noodles that were tasty yet light. It could also be a good choice for a morning meal. The Chashu pork in the ramen seemed a bit saltier compared to SHINKOTONI. A few minutes later, the Katsudon arrived. The Katsudon had two lightly sweet and easy-to-eat pork cutlets with a flavorful sauce. Both the delicious ramen and Katsudon filled me up nicely.

Today in Sapporo, the weather is great with clear skies and high temperatures, making it a perfect day. I decided to ride my bike for a meeting and then go a little further for lunch. Riding a bike is convenient because if you come by car, you have to pay for parking. I ordered the Chinese noodles with extra pork fat topping. I had seen a review before where someone ordered the same dish. Although I had forgotten what I had eaten last time, I remembered that it was delicious. Adding pork fat to the light bonito broth gives it a rich flavor. The straight noodles were smooth and matched perfectly with the soup. The tender chashu pork was also very good. Even after finishing the meal, I didn't feel thirsty, which I think is because it was made without artificial seasoning.

2023♡♡53rd bowl 6/15 around noon, I had chicken ramen with extra pork fat topping and a sauce katsu don with mayo on top(o´罒`o)ニヒヒ♡ I wanted to go to the Shin-Kotoni location, but it was closed! So, I decided to relax in the hot springs. But wait, there's a line...oh well, might as well wait. The shop is small, and they're short-staffed, but they are working diligently and with a smile. The donburi is on the smaller side, but only 390 yen!! I ordered the ramen - it was delicious, with no artificial seasonings, and the light soup matched well with the thin noodles. The chashu was also tasty, I wish I had ordered extra. I could have finished the soup, but I also had rice, so I stopped. I love rich ramen, but this one made my taste buds tingle. It's a bit hard to get to, but I definitely want to go back, maybe even once a week. The sauce katsu don for 390 yen is not to be underestimated, I want to try all the variations in the Don series. I'm craving it again now (laughs). There were many women dining alone, and I felt comfortable dining alone as well. It was my first time dining alone at a place where there were many other women dining alone. The service was great, with a welcoming attitude towards both male and female customers.

HIGASHI Tofu-an in Higashi Ward☑︎Chuka Soba - ¥640 I visited a ramen shop that I was curious about in the area near the Higashi Ward Office ( ¨̮⋆) I went just in time for the last lunch order, so many items were sold out and there were few choices ( ´^` ) The shop is small but clean and gives a good impression◎ The chicken chuka soba was sold out, but luckily I wanted the chuka soba anyway! I also wanted to try a mini bowl that day, but both options were limited quantity menu items and were sold out... The chashu was tender, the thin white noodles were made with 100% Hokkaido wheat by Nishiyama Seimen without using chemical seasonings, and they were the exclusive noodles of Tofu-an♩ It was a light and easy-to-eat chuka soba \( ¨̮ )/ Thank you for the meal◡̈*.。

The day after eating only rich and heavy foods, I found myself craving something lighter. Even though I say lighter, I still wanted ramen, so maybe I'm still young at heart. I waited about 5 minutes. I ordered a bowl of ramen and an egg from the ticket machine. My companion ordered a bowl of pork rice, so I tried a few bites of that. The ramen was light but also rich in flavor. The noodles were delicious and well-made. I'm not a fan of the bamboo shoots and pork slices that come with ramen, but I could eat them here. The pork rice bowl came with seared pork slices, egg tempura, and green onions. The egg was the same as the one in the ramen, so I gave it to my companion. The sauce was delicious! It went really well with the rice. The ramen here is light but still flavorful, satisfying to eat and gentle on the stomach. It tends to get crowded on weekends during lunchtime. Thank you for the meal.

The photo shows Chicken Chuka Soba with Salmon Donburi. Personally, I like to call this type of clear and light ramen "sophisticated ramen". Among sophisticated ramen, this one was top-notch and delicious. The smooth and chewy noodles paired perfectly with the chicken broth soup. The salmon donburi was also fresh and tasty. It's always crowded, whether you go right when they open or later. I will definitely be coming back for more!

I arrived for a late breakfast. I couldn't get in on the first round as I arrived 10 minutes before opening. I had to wait in the rain. My hands were getting numb. I ordered a chicken ramen with a tempura egg topping. It was delicious and warm! The soup was so good that I didn't want to mess it up with the egg yolk. I carefully placed it on the spoon and ate it to avoid spilling the yolk. The soup was so good that I could drink it forever. The ramen was delicious, but the pork cutlet bowl also looked tempting. There were still customers lining up in the rain, so I ate quietly and diligently. Even though I almost finished the soup, I finished my meal in about five minutes. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered the following: - Chinese ramen...590 yen - Topping: Mochi pork wonton...200 yen - Topping: Extra green onions...100 yen I like the light taste, it's delicious. The quality is great for the price, it's really cheap! There was surprisingly a lot of noodles, so I ended up feeling quite full. I probably didn't need to order the wonton. I like the light taste, but it got a bit boring towards the end. My companion had the pork cutlet curry, and I tried a bite. The curry was really delicious. They could probably run a successful curry shop as well. I want to try other items on the menu. I would like to go back again. Thank you for the meal.

The last lunch of the consecutive holidays was once again at Tokaan Higashi. I arrived early today at 10:20 to avoid the long line I encountered yesterday. As expected, there was no wait this time. I ordered the Chinese noodles and tempura bowl. The tempura bowl is limited in quantity, with only 10 servings available at the Shin-Kotoni store, so I was lucky to get it. They mentioned that there are no chemical seasonings used, and after tasting the pure Japanese broth, I noticed the presence of kelp that I didn't notice in the chicken Chinese noodles from my previous visit. The tempura is fried to order, and as you can see, it is full of ingredients with a crispy coating, very delicious. When I spoke with the owner of Mengo Men Go, a ramen and mixed noodle shop, he mentioned that breaking into the Sapporo...Hokkaido market, which is dominated by miso ramen, is quite challenging. It seems that the level of shops that don't mainly use miso as their main dish is quite high. Miso ramen is delicious, but it's nice to have something different once in a while.

I was curious about this small and beautiful shop. I visited around 11 o'clock thinking it wouldn't be crowded, but there was already one group waiting in front of us. It's not even 11 o'clock yet! I was surprised to see that the menu was inexpensive. Although I don't judge based on price, I was a little worried about the taste. However, my worries were unfounded! I liked the clear soup and thin noodles. The portion size was also normal for ramen. I wonder how they can offer it at such a low price. The taste was also delicious. I ordered the Chicken Chuka Soba for 590 yen and added a soft-boiled egg tempura for 120 yen, which came to a total of 710 yen. The staff's friendliness also made the atmosphere pleasant. I felt like they were making it with care. I was also interested in the rice bowl dishes, but since the ramen portion was large, I don't think I could finish a rice bowl. I would like to challenge it someday! Thank you for the meal.

【Doukouan HIGASHI】Postal code: 065-0010 Address: 2-51 Higashi 4-jo, Higashi-ku, Sapporo City, Hokkaido. About a 10-minute walk from Higashi Kita 13-jo Station on the Sapporo Municipal Subway Toho Line. Also within walking distance from JR Sapporo Station. This popular restaurant always has a line during lunchtime. Inside the restaurant, there is a ticket machine where you can purchase your meal ticket in advance. I ordered the "Chuka Soba" with pure Japanese broth, which is a light ramen. The balance is good without the broth being too strong from the dried fish. It also has a satisfying richness as a ramen. The noodles are made by Nishiyama Seimen using 100% Hokkaido wheat. The noodles are not overpowering, allowing you to enjoy the ingredients. If you order a noodle menu like Chuka Soba, you can also order a rice bowl! Feeling a bit adventurous, I ordered the "Katsu Curry Don." The curry is black in color. The pork cutlet was very tender and the breading was crispy. How about trying the Chuka Soba once in a while? 🍜 Instagram @gourmetyuchan

Chuka soba 590 yen Refreshing soy sauce flavor. It's like the classic Chuka soba. The noodles are original and delicious. Tonkatsu don 390 yen The seasoning makes the rice go down smoothly, and the cabbage adds a nice touch. I'm curious about the other rice bowl options. There are more rice bowl options than types of ramen. On the table, there are water, pepper, toothpicks, ladles, chopsticks, paper napkins, and alcohol disinfectant. The service is good.

In search of delicious ramen, the wandering ramen lover Washio visits the popular restaurant "Tokouan HIGASHI," known for its Chuka Soba and donburi dishes. It has been about 4 years since his last visit. The restaurant is located at 1st floor of the Cattleya Building, just across the street from Osaka Ohsho, behind the large shopping center "Tetsu Higashi Shopping Center" in Sapporo's Higashi Ward. Unfortunately, there is no parking available. Upon entering around 1 PM, Washio chooses the default Chuka Soba for 590 yen from the menu. The restaurant is known for its Chuka Soba and Tori Chuka Soba, priced at 590 yen each. They also offer various donburi dishes such as Katsudon, Tendon, and Chashu Don for 390 yen each. Washio orders the Chuka Soba and waits in line for his turn. The small restaurant is crowded with only counter seats, and there are two groups of customers waiting ahead of him. The staff prepares the ramen while customers wait, and serves it promptly once they are seated. Tokouan HIGASHI, formerly known as Hoppeya Hanare Tokouan, was established in 2008 by the owner, a Japanese cuisine chef, under the name Hoppeya. In 2012, the restaurant relocated behind the Higashi Ward office and became a popular spot. In 2017, a second branch named Tokouan was opened, and in 2021, a third branch called Tokouan SHINKOTONI was established in Kitaku Shinkotoni. The original owner moved to the new branch, and the Higashi branch is now managed by another chef. The restaurant has a branch in Ota, Gunma Prefecture called Tokouan OJIMA. Washio enjoys the Chuka Soba, served with a clear and flavorful soy sauce-based broth, chewy noodles, and well-balanced toppings. The chashu is tender and tasty, and Washio finishes every last drop of the soup. He plans to try the Tori Chuka Soba and Tare Katsudon on his next visit. The delicate flavors of Tokouan HIGASHI's ramen, crafted by a Japanese cuisine chef, impressed Washio.

Hokkaido, Sapporo City, Higashi-ku, Kita 10-jo Higashi 4-2-51. Sapporo City, Higashi-ku. It was a little after 12 pm on a weekday. There were three people waiting, and I was unsure of what to do, but I decided to wait. The small restaurant had a counter with 8 seats. As soon as you entered the building, there was a ticket machine, and customers waiting would line up outside. This system was great because you wouldn't feel pressured while eating if someone was waiting right behind you. I ordered the Chinese noodles from the ticket machine. When a seat became available, a female staff member promptly guided me inside. The small restaurant had a tidy L-shaped counter in front of the kitchen space. The kitchen was not visible, which was a thoughtful touch. The counter area was well organized and clean. - Chinese noodles for 590 yen: The ramen was reasonably priced at 590 yen. The clear soy sauce-based soup had a hint of floating oil that shimmered. The toppings included chashu, menma, and green onions, giving it a simple and clean look. The menu at the counter also mentioned that the ramen was made without chemical seasonings. The soup had a clear and elegant taste, with a fragrance of fish-based broth, possibly from kombu and mushrooms. It seemed to be free of animal-based ingredients, resulting in a very refined finish. The noodles were made from Hokkaido wheat by Nishiyama Seimen, an original of this shop. The flavorful and chewy noodles were delicious, although I prefer thinner noodles. - Pork cutlet curry rice bowl for 390 yen: I chose the pork cutlet curry from various rice bowl options. It was served in a covered bowl, and upon opening it, I found a crispy pork cutlet and jet-black curry. The thinly sliced pork cutlet was fried to a crispy texture and tasted delicious. The curry roux seemed homemade, with a buttery aroma and rich flavor. I was completely satisfied with the ramen and rice bowl combo for 980 yen. There is a limited "Chicken Chinese noodles" available until 11:30 am, which combines Japanese broth with chicken broth, so it must be absolutely delicious. I would be happy to try it if I can find it someday. As I left the restaurant around 12:30 pm, I noticed that more customers were waiting outside. It's a popular place!
