I visited "Sankatei" on July 29th for the second time. My last visit was on December 1st, 2015, so it had been a while. We went for lunch at 1:35 pm with three people in the car. The parking space was quite full, with only a few spots available... it seemed quite crowded. When we entered, they asked if we had a reservation. No, we didn't. When we asked about the wait time, they said it would be about 30 minutes. We gave them our phone number and waited in the car. Although they said the wait would be 30 minutes, we were called in after about 20 minutes. We were seated at table number 10. For lunch, we ordered the following items: - Special Sagari Lunch (with iced coffee) for 1980 yen - Stone Bibimbap Lunch (with Fanta Melon) for 990 yen - Original Morioka Cold Noodles Lunch (with iced coffee) for 1045 yen - Sapporo Classic Draft Beer (medium) for 638 yen Lunch menus come with a soft drink. Since my family likes cold noodles and bibimbap, we chose those dishes (laughs). When we placed our order, we also asked for water. The first item to be served was the Special Sagari Lunch. It included sauce, vegetable salad, and pickles. Then came the Sagari beef plate, with 4 pieces of meat, onions, and green peppers. There were purple flower petals attached, but those are not edible, right? The plate was lined with a bamboo leaf sheet. The bamboo leaf sheets used as plates are relatively expensive, costing around 30 yen each in stores. We ordered extra rice for free, and it was served on a plate, slightly softer than usual. The soup was served in a bowl, a Chinese-style seaweed soup with sliced onions and white sesame seeds sprinkled on top. The beef slices were from the diaphragm area. The portion size was unclear, but if ordered separately, the beef would cost 1760 yen, and with medium rice for 220 yen, the total would be 1980 yen. The drink, salad, and soup made it a good deal. We grilled the meat on a rotisserie, maybe a bit too much (laughs). The meat was juicy and delicious. Thank you for the meal.
