In the Daimaru underground, there is a shop that sells drinking vinegar. I often buy it as a souvenir. This time, I bought it for myself! You can also taste samples, and they have jams, dressings, and limited edition items, so it's fun to choose each time you go. When you buy a product, they include a pamphlet on how to drink vinegar. Personally, I like to put it in shochu. Even if you drink a lot of alcohol, adding vinegar somehow reduces the guilt (laughs). Orange + mandarin black vinegar → It's refreshing and the acidity is not too strong, so it's good for those who don't like sweet things. Sweet and sour bright red apple → You can taste the honey, and of course, the concentrated apple is delicious too. You can mix both with soda, water, pour it over yogurt, or mix it into dressings. It can be used in various ways.

It's a souvenir. There are juicy mango chunks at the bottom. Not too sweet. It was delicious.

Spring is near (or is it already spring?) and various stores are offering cherry blossom-related products. I love them and can't help but be drawn to them. I found cherry blossom tea (about 1400 yen) here. It says it's tea, but it can also be used as jam. It contains double cherry blossoms petals and is colored with raspberry. It has a nice balance of sweetness and acidity, and when made into tea, it has a gentle flavor. It seems like there's quite a lot, but I ended up using over a quarter of it in just one day ^^; It's a limited-time offer. If you like cherry blossom flavor and tea, you might want to hurry.

I visited Sezon Factory after a long time in November 2013. I came to buy my favorite jam. Sezon Factory sells jams, juices, drinking vinegars, dressings, and other products, all focusing on the quality and taste of vegetables and fruits. They are committed to handmade craftsmanship, so they cannot mass-produce their products. They have stores in department stores nationwide. As far as I remember, this Daimaru Sapporo store was the first department store to open. This store is located on the basement floor of Daimaru Sapporo, directly connected to JR Sapporo Station in Chuo-ku, Sapporo City. Please check the exact location of the store on Tabelog. My usual companion and I love "Amaou Jam". We haven't had it in recent years, so we came to buy it. When we arrived at the store, the saleswoman recommended us to try the seasonal limited edition jam, "Morning Mist Grown Red King Apple Jam". We tried it together and it tasted really good. We were quite indecisive, but the saleswoman's words about it being a "limited edition" swayed us. We decided to buy the "Morning Mist Grown Red King Apple Jam". This jam is made from 100% Red King apples grown in Asahi-cho, Yamagata Prefecture. It uses only ripe red apples that are sliced and grated. It is sweet with a hint of tartness and has a lower viscosity than regular jams, making it juicy and smooth. It costs 1,260 yen for a 310g jar. It has a nice balance of sweetness, tartness, and freshness. It is sweet but light, making it very easy to enjoy. We had it on Donq's baguette and before we knew it, we couldn't stop eating it because of its deliciousness. (laughs) It was definitely the right decision to buy this limited edition jam. Sezon Factory's jams are more like toppings than spreads, and this one is no exception. After confirming that Daimaru Sapporo was indeed the first department store to open, I look forward to trying the classic "Amaou Jam" next time. It was delicious, thank you for the meal.

Received a generous gift of Daimaru's shop French bread rusk without spending my own money, so here's a review haha. Located at the foot of Mount Zao in Yamagata, the bread was specifically baked for rusk, not using leftover ingredients. It's apparently the original gift-giving type. The premium butter had a nice aroma and a perfect balance of sweet and salty flavors. The French salad was small and easy to eat, with a hint of acidity that would go well with wine. This calls for a glass of white wine. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I wonder if this was featured on TV. This carrot dressing here is delicious. The one that needs to be refrigerated comes in a plastic bottle, while the one that doesn't need to be refrigerated comes in a glass jar. The unopened shelf life is more than double. I bought both, using the jar for backup and opening the refrigerated one to use. It brings out the sweetness of vegetables, even those that aren't sweet. It's a wonderful product. I haven't tried them side by side, but the acidity seems slightly different. The cheese dip I bought at the same time is also delicious. My supply of fresh vegetables is quickly running out. Fantastic!

The shop located in the gourmet area in the basement of Daimaru Sapporo sells high-quality vinegar and other products. Although my family is not particularly interested in vinegar, I bought some strawberry milk powder as a souvenir. The long, slender bottle contains liquid strawberries that are more watery than jam, and can be mixed with milk to make strawberry milk. You need to add quite a bit of strawberries to achieve a strong sweetness, but the product has a touch of luxury, making it a good gift option.

Today is the first day of my two-day weekend~! For lunch, I had a delicious one-coin lunch at AEON Nayoshi store and did some shopping. When I got home, the doorbell rang and it was a delivery from Yamato Transport. It was a gift from Daimaru department store with a fancy wrapping paper. Even though it's from Daimaru, it had something to do with Sezon? Is it related to Seiyu? My workplace is in Ebetsu, so I haven't been to Sapporo Station in years! My wife's workplace is near Sapporo Station. She said, "Sezon Factory is a shop in the basement of Daimaru!" I understand now. It seems like a popular shop with a lot of customers. I received a gift from someone older than me, and it's a fancy product called "Rich Breakfast." They said the jam and drinking vinegar were delicious. I'll try the rest after my wife makes some dishes. Thank you everyone~ that's all for now.

This is a place in Chuo Ward, located on the basement floor of Daimaru Sapporo store at North 5th Street, West 4th Block. For more detailed location information, please refer to the floor map of Daimaru Sapporo store. I received some chocolates as an early Valentine's Day gift. When I opened it, I was surprised to see that the chocolates were in the shape of strawberries. The taste was a combination of white chocolate and strawberry flavor, with a good balance of sweetness. I really enjoyed it and would like to explore the food section in the basement of Daimaru when I have the chance to visit again.
