Located along the Sheep Hill Street in Nishioka area, there is a surprising Donkey restaurant. I visited here for dinner as I was nearby for some errands. The restaurant has long opening hours and ample parking space, making it convenient to visit. Inside, there are many booth seats, and despite it being early for dinner, the place was bustling with many customers, indicating its popularity. Apart from the regular menu, there are also limited-time items to choose from, but since it had been a while since I last visited Donkey, I decided to go with my favorite "Cheese Curry Burger Dish (150g) for 1,065 yen". It was ready in about 10 minutes. The soft texture of the hamburger is a matter of personal preference, but I love it. It pairs excellently with the slightly spicy curry, and the dish salad was delicious as always, making it a very satisfying dinner. The prices may not be cheap, but I recommend it to those who enjoy a soft hamburger.

Soon after, the minced cutlet & hamburger dish arrived, which had a good amount of food. The minced cutlet was crunchy and tender, even without the sauce. Adding the hamburger sauce made it even better. My spouse ordered the iron plate minced cutlet spaghetti, which had a dark sauce over the cutlet and lacked the crunchy texture. It might be better to have the sauce on the side and use the hamburger sauce instead. I thought adding cheese topping to the normal hamburger would make it even better. Overall, it was delicious! While some may prefer the regular Cheeseburger Dish, I personally prefer the simplicity of the classic version. Nonetheless, the limited-time menu items make the regular menu shine even more. It was getting late, around 8:30 pm, so I thought the usual conveyor belt sushi chain would be a good option. However, when we arrived, there was quite a long wait for counter seats, so we decided to go to a nearby Bikkuri Donkey instead. We arrived a little after 8:30 pm and found parking spaces available. There was no wait inside, and we were seated right away. We ordered the usual 150g cheeseburger dish and miso soup for me, a 200g pineapple steak for my daughter, meat spaghetti for my partner, and shared some Bikkuri fried potatoes. The potatoes were delicious with the original mayonnaise. The food was served promptly, and everything tasted great. The dish salad was crispy, the cheeseburger was just the right size, and the miso soup had plenty of tofu. The 150g portion of the dish was just enough for me. It was all delicious as always. The rest of the family shared the Donkey Aya Set, along with some delicious potatoes. The potatoes were so tasty, fluffy inside and crispy outside, and they paired perfectly with the mayonnaise. We asked for more mayo and soon our main dishes arrived, looking as delicious as ever. We added some extra hamburger sauce, and it was just as satisfying as before. We left feeling full and happy. The Menchi Katsu was thicker than I imagined, and the crispy coating and juicy meat made it delicious. The curry added a different kind of deliciousness, making the combination of Menchi Katsu and curry truly amazing. My companion also seemed satisfied and said he would like to eat it again. I asked the staff until when the limited-time offer is available, and they said until the end of February. Oh no, it's ending soon. I'll definitely have it again when it's offered. We also shared the Squid Boat and Surprise Fried Potatoes, and the ladies added a Strawberry Milkshake. First, the Squid Boat arrived. It's a traditional menu item that has been around since the restaurant was still called Donald Duck about 40 years ago, and I love it. The potatoes were delicious too, especially with Donkey's original mayonnaise. Then, the Cheese Burger Dish with extra melty cheese arrived. It was my first time trying it. I poured the hamburger sauce on top and dug in. The cheese was more mellow than regular cheese, it was interesting. Personally, I prefer the regular cheese for its richer flavor. The classic way is still the best. My family was satisfied, the taste was reliable and comforting as always. From a local soul food to a nationwide soul food! I finished my work smoothly before dawn and treated myself to a surprise Donkey special breakfast. The restaurant was half full with a couple who seemed to be local residents. While Donkey is known for its hamburgers, their breakfast was also good. I had originally planned to go to a breakfast buffet at a mainland chain restaurant, but I was too exhausted. The breakfast had a satisfying amount of food, and although it was a bit pricey for breakfast, I felt satisfied.

New Year's Day 2023 at Don Quijote (๑´∀`) Our annual tradition! A mysterious New Year's routine that has been going on for years. In 2023, for the first time, we skipped past the people waiting for a table at the Nishioka store by using the app for reservations. It was such a thrill! While tablets are the norm, here they use wooden menus. It just feels right (´∀｀)b First up, the "Beer Set" for 600 yen. It comes with beer and mini potatoes, a great deal! Let the New Year drinking begin~(o´艸`) The foam was a bit much, but the taste was refreshing. The potatoes were deliciously fluffy. I went all out with the hamburger topped with cheese. The rice had a small discount of 54 yen. Mmm... so tasty (*´ﾛ`*)ﾊｩ The taste of Bikkudon is always reliable. The rice is delicious, and the salad is too. The cheese was in chunks until the end. I prefer it a bit more melted, but it wasn't bad like this. I am satisfied, satisfied (о´∀`о) Here's to a great year ahead! Thank you for the meal (^ω^)

During the Japan vs. Costa Rica game, I decided to visit a usually crowded restaurant. When I checked the app, there were 2 groups waiting. As I got closer, it counted down to 1 group, then 0 groups, and by the time I arrived, there were no more waiting customers. I arrived 10 minutes before the game started, and as expected, the parking lot was quite empty. I was seated right away and ordered my usual cheeseburger dish, with an additional dish salad with a discount coupon from the app, and some crispy calamari for everyone to share. My family ordered a grated beef burger and a fondue steak for my younger daughter. The crispy calamari arrived first and it was delicious. I wished they had beer, preferably a local major brand like Super Dry, in addition to the organic beer they offer. The cheeseburger dish was as tasty as always, and the rice was also delicious. The miso soup was also to my liking. Overall, the meal was delicious as usual. Lesson learned this time: the amount of dish salad was just right, a little less would have been perfect.笑

I prefer the Bikkuri Donkey in the suburbs over the one in the city. They have a menu not only for "Burg Dish" but also for "Burg Steak," which is a hot plate hamburger steak. I love it! I had the Burg Steak, while my companion had the Black Demi-Glace Burg Dish, which is a new menu item. The staff on this floor is really friendly and provides excellent service. Bikkuri Donkey is always reliable, affordable, and delicious.

When it comes to Donkey, both of us ordered curry burger dishes. We felt like having it after a long time and went there. Donkey's curry isn't particularly special, but when eaten with this hamburger, it's still delicious. The rice is glossy and tasty. The fried potatoes are hot and fluffy. They used to have red powder seasoning on them, but they changed to no seasoning a few years ago. Having tried it after a long time, we still feel like something is missing for those of us who liked that taste. It would be nice if they could provide the seasoning separately for those who want it. We'll patiently wait and see.

I also ordered a beer to go with my meal! First up, the beer and Garlic Shrimp & Potato arrived! The scent of garlic was amazing, and the shrimp was so plump and delicious! The beer went down smoothly. I would love to just have the Garlic Shrimp on its own. Of course, the potatoes were also delicious, nice and fluffy. Soon after, the hamburger dishes arrived. The Cheese Burger Dish was as reliable and tasty as ever, and adding hamburger sauce to the side salad was also delicious. My daughter shared some of her Loco Moco Burger Dish with me, and it was really tasty with the avocado, diced tomatoes, and sauce. It even came with a sunny-side-up egg and pineapple, and there was a generous portion of rice. We also got a discount of 600 yen thanks to a local restaurant campaign, which was a nice surprise. After going out to eat around 19:30, I found that many places close by 20:00, so I ended up going to the familiar Donkey Nishioka store. I've been a customer of this chain since the days when it was called Donald Duck along Sapporo Shinmichi. While McDonald's fries have made a comeback, unfortunately, Donkey's delicious fries are currently not available. The original mayonnaise at Donkey is free for refills and tastes great with their fries. I usually go for the Cheeseburger Dish (sometimes the Potato Salad Burger Dish), but this time I discovered a limited-time Melty Cheeseburger Dish which had melted cheese sauce on top of the regular Cheeseburger Dish. I decided to try it out. First, we shared a Classic Salad, which was consistently delicious. Then, the Melty Cheeseburger Dish arrived and I poured the accompanying hamburger sauce on the salad and burger. It was tasty, but a bit heavy for my liking. I prefer the simplicity of the regular Cheeseburger Dish, as the classics always hold up. There was a promotion for the Donkey app at the table, offering triple points for the next visit. I signed up without hesitation. After finishing the meal, I must say it was delicious once again. Thank you for the meal!

Before heading out to the street, I made a detour to my recent favorite, Bikkuri Donkey Morning! Kind staff guided me to a seat at the back. This Nishioka branch doesn't have touch screens or self-checkout yet. There were no power outlets either. I ordered the "Cheese Toast Drink Set" (440 yen) with hot coffee. The coffee arrived first, followed quickly by the toast! The slightly dry bread had mayonnaise spread on it, topped with melting cheese, toasted to a nice crisp with nutmeg and parsley. Delicious! Bikkuri Donkey's coffee (Single Estate Coffee) is normally priced at 310 yen, but with the morning plain toast set drink set, it's only 330 yen! You can get unlimited refills of Single Estate Coffee when you choose coffee, and toast and boiled eggs are only 20 yen each. Amazing cost performance! The coffee is a bit bitter for me, but it pairs well with sweets. I will definitely visit another branch in the future. Thank you, Nishioka branch!

I usually go for the curry burger dish, but today I decided to try my second favorite, the potato salad packet dish with curry sauce on top. The potato salad packet dish costs 900 yen, and the curry sauce costs 110 yen, making the total over 1,000 yen. Oh well, it's fine once in a while. The hamburger with potato salad and cheese inside is delicious, especially when topped with curry sauce, which makes the rice disappear quickly. My companion always sticks to the curry burger dish. It would be nice if they had curry burger on the breakfast menu, but it seems like they don't offer it at the moment. Thank you for the meal!
