Visited the local Co-op Sapporo store to try out the sweets from "Toyohiko" for the first time in October 2022. The closest store to my home is the "Co-op Sapporo Motomachi Store," but this one in the area is also convenient. Located facing the Sapporo Shin-Do road, it was a bit difficult to enter by car, but the store inside was surprisingly spacious. I thought the "Co-op Sapporo Motomachi Store" was big with two floors, but this one seemed to have a larger sales area. They had a section called "Local Vegetables" where you could see the faces of the producers on the vegetables, which was a nice touch typical of Co-op Sapporo. I couldn't help but pick up some komatsuna, which is delicious stir-fried quickly with Chinese seasonings. However, the "fresh salmon roe" is still expensive this year. Although the catch volume has been increasing in recent years, my image is that it's a luxury item at 398 yen/100g. I won't be able to make my own soy sauce-marinated salmon roe again this year.

On my way home from an outing, I noticed a Co-op Sapporo store and decided to stop by to buy ingredients for dinner. The store was bright and spacious, with a great selection of bread, sweets, and deli items. They even sold Krispy Kreme doughnuts! I couldn't resist buying a cute teddy bear doughnut from Todorok. The deli section had a wide variety of options, from single-serving packs to large family packs. I was surprised to see charcoal-grilled yakitori being sold, and the freshly grilled Muroran yakitori had a delicious smoky flavor. In the end, I ended up buying more snacks than ingredients for dinner, but everything was delicious and satisfying. I wish there was a Co-op Sapporo store near my house. Thank you, "Shindo store"!
