I went to "HOT BOX" on this day. When I arrived at exactly 11:30, the store was already open. It was not a typical Hakodate-style restaurant, which raised my expectations. There were no other customers inside when I entered. I was seated at a table for two. The first thing that caught my eye was a sign for "Brooklyn Lager." I regretted driving here at that moment. I ordered the popular "Bacon Cheeseburger" and "Oolong Tea" from the menu. The Bacon Cheeseburger arrived after about 10 minutes. It looked delicious, and the smell of charcoal-grilled patty and bacon was appetizing. The fries on the side were also tasty. The patty had a great meaty flavor. I really wanted to drink the "Brooklyn Lager" next time.

I had a bacon cheeseburger as a single item. It came with fries as well. The fries were the perfect size, not too thin or too thick, just the way I like them. The burger was delicious, with tasty bread and meat. The meat was juicy and satisfying. The bacon was also very tasty. Thank you for the meal.

Hakodate Burger!!! After eating at Lucky Pierrot, I wanted to try other burgers and visited this shop! They cook the beef patty after receiving the order, so the freshly made burger was very juicy and delicious! Personally, I wish the presence of the onions in the sandwich was a bit weaker!

We came to Hakodate with children. It's a seafood heaven with uni and squid, but the kids aren't fans. However, there's an icon here that kids love called Lucky Pierrot. I found a highly rated burger joint nearby on Tabelog. We decided to go there instead of Lucky Pierrot. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger set (1,600 yen). The burger is not your typical fast food - the patty is grilled over charcoal, topped with baked onions, slightly burnt bacon, and gooey cheddar cheese. The patty is juicy and delicious. The sweet onion and strong cheddar cheese complement the patty well. The crispy French fries and leafy salad on the side were also tasty and unique. Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable plate with each component having its own character.

During a business trip to Hakodate, I used this restaurant for lunch. It is located about a 10-minute walk from Hakodate Station towards Yunokawa Onsen, along the streetcar street. I arrived around 11:30 on a weekday and was seated immediately. I ordered the May monthly burger, the "Grilled Asparagus Bacon Mozzarella Cheese Burger (with French fries)" drink set for 2180 yen. I chose a "Cola" for my drink. I usually stick to standard menu items when visiting a new restaurant, but when in a place I don't often visit and with ingredients not commonly used in burgers, I couldn't resist. The crispy texture of the asparagus, the savory flavor of the grilled bacon, and the meatiness of the patty all came together to create a satisfying burger. The size was not too big, but it was enough to leave me feeling satisfied. With its convenient location near Hakodate Station, this gourmet burger restaurant is popular among locals, tourists, and business travelers like myself.

I visited the restaurant after seeing reviews and YouTube videos about their charcoal-grilled burgers, and my expectations were high. I usually eat burgers in this price range in Tokyo, like at Kuaina, but I felt this was on par with them. I didn't particularly notice the smell of charcoal grilling, and while the meat was thick, I didn't find it especially flavorful. It was disappointing to find some tough chunks of meat occasionally.

Avocado cheeseburger set 1600 yen and plump popcorn shrimp 1000 yen. The restaurant is quite small. The taste is average. However, I forgot my earphone case inside the restaurant, and the staff ran out of the store to deliver it to me. They slipped on the snow and fell, which I feel sorry for. Thank you. I will rate it 3.5 stars.

I went on a trip to Hakodate. Despite heavy snowfall on the Japan Sea side of Hokkaido, it was surprisingly sunny when I arrived in Hakodate. However, it started snowing at night. I visited a hamburger shop located about a 7-minute walk straight from Hakodate Station. It took me about 10 minutes due to the slow walk in the snow. The shop is near Matsukaze-cho Station, the first stop from Hakodate Station by streetcar. The shop owner trained in Aichi Prefecture. I had made a dinner reservation, but I arrived early, so I spent time at a nearby drugstore and McDonald's. It was a good decision to make a reservation for a weekend night. Except for those who were able to enter without a reservation, the shop was fully booked. The shop is small with counter seats on the kitchen side and window side, and a couple of tables, creating a warm atmosphere. Due to rising ingredient costs, the menu was revised in September 2022, changing from burgers with fresh vegetables like tomatoes and lettuce to burgers with only patties. What I had: Avocado Cheese Burger, Salad, French Fries, Iced Cafe au Lait. The Avocado Cheese Burger consists of a patty made of a blend of Oguni Wagyu beef from Hokuto City and Aussie beef, topped with cheese, avocado, and baked onions hidden within the patty. The patty, hand-cut and roughly chopped daily, is mixed by hand-kneading, resulting in a flavorful and delicious patty. It is grilled over charcoal, giving it a fragrant taste. The buns are a special original from Kobe Komugi-kan in the city, with a dense and firm texture. Without fresh vegetables, I was able to directly taste the meaty texture and umami of the patty. The shoestring fries with skin were crispy and well-seasoned, delicious on their own. Thank you for the meal.

After deciding to stop by after watching a movie, I visited the restaurant with a few friends. We had heard plenty of rumors that the place was "expensive but delicious", so we completely abandoned the concept of fast food. We ordered a hamburger with bacon and cheese on top. Even while waiting, the smell and sound were so appetizing... I took a bite right away!!!! This is seriously delicious! The crispy bacon and the cheese go so well together, and the main patty is incredibly meaty and juicy! The spices are also exquisite! Additionally, the onions are generously included and they are sweet and tasty! The buns are also nicely toasted, with a good smell of wheat! We enjoyed it with a small bottle of beer! While it may not have the convenience of a major franchise, this restaurant has firmly established its unwavering position as a rewarding hamburger spot!

Located about a 2-minute walk from the Hakodate City Tram Matsukaze-cho stop, along National Route 278, is the gourmet burger shop "BURGER SHOP HOT BOX HOME MADE." I visited during my trip to Hokkaido in mid-October. The interior of the shop had a total of 11 seats. I was guided to a window-side counter seat. The shop seemed to be run by a couple or two people. I looked at the menu on the table and decided to order the October limited monthly burger "Camembert Cheese Burger" (1,870 yen) with a "Set Drink" (300 yen). First, the drink arrived quickly, followed by a short wait before the burger was brought to me. The burger came with plenty of fried potatoes and salad on the side. The "Camembert Cheese Burger" consisted of buns, onions, patty, Camembert cheese, nuts, and buns. The top bun was removed, revealing the impressive thick Camembert cheese and neatly arranged nuts. I poured all the maple syrup on it, put the top bun back on, and took a big bite. The patty was juicy and flavorful, very delicious! The Camembert cheese also had a rich taste and made its presence known. The sweetness of the maple syrup was so gentle that it almost felt like I was eating a dessert. The crunchy texture of the nuts added a nice accent. It was so delicious that I quickly finished it. Thank you for the meal.

My favorite hamburger shop in Hakodate♡ "Oguni Bokujo" uses Oguni Wagyu beef and Aussie beef cooked over charcoal, and the meat is exquisite. This time, I tried the monthly burger made with the divine tomatoes from Hakuto City's Shiraishi Farm, which was refreshing and perfect for summer. It was so delicious that I devoured it in no time (laughs). The husband and wife who run the shop are very kind and cheerful, making it a very cozy hamburger shop! Check out the details here☟ Hakodate・HOTBOX's monthly burger using divine tomatoes was too delicious♥ https://saron-sayuko.com/2022/08/07/burger-shop-hotbox-hakodate/

Actually, I went there last week as well but didn't post about it, so I'll post about it this time. "BurgerShop HOTBOX" has a rating of 3.53 as of July 30, 2022. It's a place you must visit if you come to Hakodate! It's also listed in the recommended gourmet restaurants in Hakodate. They use charcoal-grilled 100% beef patties and original buns made with natural yeast, which are delicious. Pairing it with beer is the best combination. I chose to top it with thick-cut bacon, which was surprisingly delicious. Despite the constant flow of delivery and takeout orders, the staff efficiently handled the orders without making in-house customers wait. It was fun to watch the two staff members work so well together. Thank you for the delicious meal! I will definitely visit BurgerShop HOTBOX again!

There is no parking lot at the store, but there is a coin parking lot right behind it. It was around 100 yen for 30 minutes. The store itself is not very big, with about 10-12 seats. It was lunchtime, but I was lucky as there was only one customer ahead of me. By the time I finished eating, the place was full and there were two groups waiting outside. I had the Avocado Cheeseburger, and it was delicious. The beef patty was 100% meaty and juicy. The music was a bit loud, so it may not be the best place for those looking for a quiet and relaxing meal. However, the burger was so good that I would like to go back again.

I had lunch at a hamburger shop. There is a famous fast food restaurant nearby that serves hamburgers, but I didn't even glance at it and checked in here. After all, what makes a hamburger great is the freshness and homemade feel of the ingredients, as well as its satisfying taste. This place is known for its dedication to quality ingredients, even sourcing wheat flour from Kobe. I tried the Cheddar Cheeseburger. The patty was a bit firm but had a nice bounce to it. The cheese had a tangy flavor that was addictive. Taking a bite out of a hamburger is a wonderful experience. And let's not forget to mention the master with a punk rocker look, which you can't help but notice.

I visited this burger shop other than the popular Lucky Pierrot, and it caught my attention. It is located along the street leading to Hakodate Station, with a large burger drawing on the building making it easy to find. The interior has a counter by the window and table seating. I had high expectations for the patty, so I ordered the Double Cheeseburger. The prices are similar to burger shops in Tokyo. The taste was decent, with a sauce that wasn't too strong, highlighting the richness of the meat and cheese. However, I was hoping for a meatier patty, so if it wasn't a double, I might have found it a bit lacking.

Located a 5-minute walk from Hakodate Station towards Matsukaze-cho with the station at your back, this corner shop faces the tram street. From the counter, you can see the passing trams and enjoy a good view. I ordered the super thick bacon burger, which was at the top of the menu. It arrived in about 10 minutes, with thick bacon sticking out on both sides! I started with the bacon. It was on the salty side, but it was a good match for the fact that I had been sweating today. The thickness provided a great chew. The patty is a blend of 100% beef, including Ohguni beef and Australian beef. It was grilled over charcoal, giving it a fragrant and meaty finish. It was incredibly delicious. I put it in the burger bag and took a big bite, this is what a hamburger is all about. The staff at the restaurant are very friendly and create a good atmosphere alongside the quiet chef. I have found another favorite spot in Hakodate.

Located two minutes away from Hakodate City's Matsukaze-cho tram stop, this burger joint serves up a Bacon Cheeseburger that I tried on a snowy night during the week. The patty was delicious, but the buns and bacon were a bit lacking in quality.

On the 18th day of my Hokkaido trip, I visited this restaurant for a brunch before heading to Aomori on the afternoon ferry. It was my first time here and I didn't notice it on my previous trip. I arrived right after they opened and was able to get a seat right away, but it quickly filled up with more customers. It seems like a popular spot already. I ordered the super thick-cut bacon burger with added cheese. The kitchen took their time to cook it, and it arrived soon after. The thick bacon slices had a striking appearance. The buns were lightly toasted, and the patty and cheese had a natural flavor with a good aftertaste. The bacon added a nice chew to the burger. I would definitely visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant during regular opening hours. The place has about 3 table seats and counter seats. There was one other group of customers already there. I had also been to Lucky Pierrot earlier in the day, so it was my second burger of the day. The burgers here are gourmet burgers priced at over 1000 yen each! After ordering, the staff grilled the patties over charcoal. I ordered the Standard Burger and the Bacon Cheeseburger. Both burgers came with fries and pickles. The Standard Burger had barbecue sauce and mayonnaise, but you could still taste the flavors of the ingredients. The meat had a salty flavor, and I prefer a stronger, sweeter taste, so I wished there was more barbecue sauce. The ingredients were all delicious though! The Bacon Cheeseburger had cheese and bacon on top of the Standard Burger. The cheese was melty and delicious. The bacon was thick-cut, so I preferred that, but the flavor was a bit light, so I thought maybe adding ketchup would be good. The fries were much thinner than those at McDonald's, with a crispy texture and a salty taste. They would make a good snack with drinks. The pickles were sweet and I liked them. And the bread was really delicious... I wanted to eat this bread at home. I've had burgers in America and Hawaii, but this place is definitely in my top three! Highly recommended!

When it comes to hamburgers in Hakodate, you have to try this place! I chose this restaurant based on reviews from other people, who said it must be delicious. The "Prosciutto and Cream Cheese Cold Tomato Sauce Burger" is a monthly special menu item. The beef patty is 100% beef and has a great chewy texture with a strong meaty flavor. The Prosciutto didn't stand out much compared to the patty. The combination of tomato and cream cheese is a classic, so it's definitely tasty. There's a lot of lettuce in the burger, making it hearty but reducing the guilt. It's a bit messy to eat, but it's delicious. The fries are thin and crispy with just the right amount of salt. The pickles are sweet and serve as a nice break. I added an iced tea to my meal, and it was a good choice. The restaurant was quite busy with families, couples, solo diners, and tourists. It's conveniently located within walking distance from the station, making it tourist-friendly.
