Due to a virus-related computer failure, the migration process to a new desktop computer has been completed. I am still getting used to Windows 10 as it is my first time using it, and also due to health reasons. I have resumed liking and commenting, so thank you for your support.【April 2019】"Hakodate Mikado" is a long-established station bento specialty store founded in 1936. In 2012, it became a subsidiary of Hokkaido Kiosk. Starting from April 2019, "Hakodate Mikado" bento boxes are also being sold at JR Sapporo Station. Sales start at 10:30 am for transport from Hakodate to Sapporo Station. The current sales locations are "Hokkaido Shikisai-kan Nishikan" outside the ticket gate and "Kiosk Sapporo Latch Chuten" inside the gate, which is the flagship store of Kiosk inside the gate. I visited with my usual companion with the purpose of buying "Hakodate Mikado" bento boxes. This store is located in the JR Sapporo Station area in Chuo Ward, Sapporo City. For the exact location, please check on Tabelog. "Hakodate Mikado" offers several types of bento boxes, priced around 1,000 to 1,300 yen. I bought the "Shikisai Bekoben." ■ Shikisai Bekoben Weight: Measured at 358g (after removing the packaging) This is a slightly small bento box made with Hokkaido beef and rice. It includes Hokkaido beef simmered in soy sauce, squid shumai, kinshi tamago, and pickled daikon. Price: 1,200 yen (tax included) The "Shikisai Bekoben" is a bento box that allows you to taste Hokkaido. It is a luxurious bento box made with Hokkaido beef and rice. You can enjoy Hokkaido beef with "simmered in soy sauce" and "beef soboro." It goes well with alcohol, making it a great bento box to enjoy with a drink. It seems like a good memory to enjoy it with alcohol on the train. By the way, "Hokkaido Kiosk" released the "Sapporo Thick Tamago Sandwich" as a limited product at JR Sapporo Station. It was released on April 25, 2017. Initially, it was sold at "Hokkaido Shikisai-kan Nishikan" outside the ticket gate and at "Kiosk Sapporo Latch Chuten" inside the gate. Although there are many Kiosk shops in the station, it was only sold at two stores. Despite being sold at only two stores, it surpassed 10,000 units within two months of its release, becoming a very popular product. After that, it was also sold at "Kiosk Sapporo Latch Nishiten" and "Kiosk Sapporo Latch Higashiten" inside the gate. The "Sapporo Thick Tamago Sandwich" is a very creamy and soft thick tamago sandwich. It is completely different in image and texture from traditional thick sandwiches. The sweetness is moderate and easy to eat. It is cut into bite-sized pieces, making it easy to eat. I wonder which "Hakodate Mikado bento box" I should try next time. It was delicious, thank you for the treat.
