I went to "Aburiya Bensan"! This restaurant opened in August 2011 in the former Game Center Mickey location. They use a lava stone grill to serve delicious seafood and more. The interior has counter seats, regular tables, and a cozy sunken kotatsu seating area. We were seated in a small kotatsu area for two, which had a nice ambiance. Orders are taken using a touch panel device by the staff. I tried steamed grilled hamaguri for the first time, which was like a larger version of asari clams. I also had garlic butter sautéed clams and shiitake mushrooms grilled on the lava stone grill. The yakitori was delicious too. The dessert ice cream was crispy and tasty. The staff were friendly, and the receipts detailed the items ordered. Overall, a great dining experience!

On December 1, 2013, I visited this restaurant with my partner after gambling. I won't tell you if we won or lost, haha. I had been here once before when it first opened, but I wanted to leave a comment this time, so I'm revisiting. We ordered the following items: Naka Sattanai chicken karaage, ramen salad (even though we had ramen for lunch, haha), dashimaki tamago, and onigiri (salmon). When I ordered the chicken skewers with wasabi, they were out of stock, but they kindly offered to make it with pork skewers instead. Thank you so much! The ramen salad had a light salt dressing instead of the usual heavy mayo, and the noodles were just right. The dashimaki tamago was good, but I still think it could use a bit more sweetness. The pork skewers, which I think were called "Doro Buta," had sweet fatty meat and the wasabi gave it a nice kick. It wasn't cold enough for hotpot this time, but I'm looking forward to coming back for it when it gets colder.
