Welcome! This beer hall is located in a somewhat tricky area, near Nishi 15-chome in Chuo Ward, between Nishi 11-chome and Nishi 18-chome subway stations. It's a place where you can find various restaurants like Hatake Uchi, Hotto Motto, and Shiodzume, perfect for lunch fever!
Yugachon is packed with about 90% capacity on weekdays around 10 pm, it was a challenge to find a seat. I managed to find a couple of seats at the counter, but the couple next to me took up a lot of space! Since it's a beer hall, I felt obligated to have a beer, so I decided to go for a half-and-half.
Usually, I summon DGD, but this time I got reverse-nan'd! The master, who handles 6 taps of 4 major beer brands for the second round, is a Basil Basil independent. He and his friends have many connections with hospitals around here, which explains why it's so popular. They recommend adult drinking manners. The best way to start is with Niku, and there are plenty of dishes that go well with beer.
I thought about the cramped space and how to make it work. It's a space for 2 people to sit in 3 seats... I thought about summoning Keipon's husband to explain "Today's youth are blah blah," or having a flying big brother stand in front of me in a black suit and sunglasses, or having Subaru-san play drums for a change, but they weren't there. The fish and chips come with a choice of "with skin or shoestring (like McDonald's)," so I chose the latter, a classic with beer. The fried batter mixed with beer is crispy and fragrant. The thinness of the fish made it a little less impactful, but it goes well with ketchup. The Imo goes well with the marriage of ketchup and mustard, and this ketchup was Kagome, which was a nice touch.
The Big Spare Rib comes in 3 sizes, and I went for the L size. The tenderness after simmering once is perfect for biting into with garlic. The meat is pressure-cooked for tenderness, focusing on the flavor. It's served with a light touch of fat and this meat sauce that enhances the saltiness, making you crave a side dish... The saltiness is strong enough to confidently say that the "Spaghetti Meat Sauce" is salty! The aftertaste of the canned meat is also present, but it goes well with alcohol. The beer is cheap, but surprisingly, the food is reasonably priced and the portions are small. The spare ribs are great, but the goulash is even better.
For beer lovers, there's an all-you-can-drink option, and the master is a kind person to chat with. Thank you for the delicious meal!
