Famous bakery in Maoyama. I visited in the early afternoon, but there were already few options left and the popular breads were not ready yet. I ended up buying a few types that were not really to my liking and left. It's essential to visit this shop at the right time to get the bread you want. I made the same mistake again. However, the Danish and croissants, which were not my favorite types, were all well-layered and perfectly baked. They were delicious and impressive. I was truly amazed by the quality.

Ange, located near the entrance of the Moiwa Ropeway in Chuo-ku, Sapporo City. It may be a bit difficult to reach without a car. I don't often have the opportunity to visit the south side, so I decided to stop by. I purchased Pain au Chocolat, Melon Pan, Nus-Bogen, and Croissant. The Pain au Chocolat was crispy and the chocolate was delicious. The Melon Pan was soft and chewy. Overall, all the items seemed to be of high quality. Thank you for the meal. It's a bakery located in a residential street. It's easy to get lost because there are no signs from the street. They have delicious and classic items like croissants and pain au chocolat. It can be frustrating because they often sell out if you don't go at the right time when the bread is freshly baked.

Whenever I go, I always seem to have bad luck with the store being closed or items being sold out... Finally, I was able to try the croissant-focused bakery that I've been wanting to visit. The interior of the store is simple and the menu is also simple. As I looked at the displayed bread, I felt a lively aura of life... which is quite rare. Croissant - 250 yen I ate the croissant outside because it's a bit tricky to eat in the car. It's a slightly small portion with a crunchy surface. When you take a bite, the layers are firm due to the generous amount of rolls, and the inside has a nice elasticity with a sticky, chewy texture and a hint of maturity. The butter flavor is mild, with a subtle aroma, and the saltiness provides perfect support. I see... this croissant may appeal more to those who prefer a well-balanced, firm texture rather than a buttery, fluffy croissant. Personally, I prefer more buttery flavor, but I think the quality of the bread is excellent, and despite feeling a bit pricey due to its small size, I understand its popularity and the praise from everyone.

I tried Anju for the first time! I had a croissant and a pain au chocolat. The croissant was crispy on the outside and had sweetness and umami inside, which I can see why it has many fans. The pain au chocolat was even more delicious because the bread itself was tasty. They are open until 7 pm and accept phone orders. If you like croissants, please try it once! In terms of croissants, I personally rank it in the top 1-2 in Sapporo! #HokkaidoGourmet #SapporoGourmet #Bread #Croissant

I went at a time I don't usually go to. First time meeting with the Bacon Epi!!! Not too hard, not too soft, with a crispy surface and a soft inside that you can taste with every bite. It was a wonderful bread. The amount of black pepper was just right, not too much that it hurts your mouth or throat. I always went early to eat scones quickly, but I regret it now. The Bacon Epi made me feel so happy when I finished eating it, I was very satisfied.

I visited in the early evening. I usually grab as many scones as I can. Today, I happened to see melon bread displayed with a price card that said "Our proud product." I nodded in agreement and bought some melon bread as well. The cookie dough is thick, but surprisingly not crumbly. When I took a bite, I could taste the bread itself more than the sweetness of the cookie dough. The texture was chewy and very delicious. There were three flavors: plain, cocoa, and matcha. This was my first time trying matcha, which had a rich taste that would go well with whipped cream. It wasn't too sweet, which I liked. I prefer the plain flavor the most. The freshly baked croissant had layers of air, similar to custard cream. It reminded me of Egwene. When it cools down, I can still taste the buttery flavor without having to reheat it, so I enjoy it as it is. When I can buy the rustic bread fresh from the oven, it makes me happy.

I always wanted to visit this bakery but could never find the right timing as it was not open on Sundays. Finally, I made a detour on my way back from the city and visited the bakery. The shop had a calming atmosphere with a pleasant smell of bread, and the friendly staff provided detailed information about their products and baking times. I was allowed to take photos, which was great. Although they didn't have a wide variety of items, I ended up buying three: a delicious croissant, a hazelnut bread, and a chocolate orange pastry. The croissant was perfectly balanced with a crispy crust and soft interior. The hazelnut bread was dense and satisfying, with a nutty cream filling and almond topping. The chocolate orange pastry was sweet and tasty, with a great combination of flavors. It's conveniently located near the medical school, so I plan to visit again to try more of their bread. Thank you, Anju bakery!

The snow had melted, so I visited after a long time. Since it was in the morning, I bought a scone and a croissant. The scone here is really delicious. It's crispy, light, with just the right amount of sweetness. I thought, "Oh? Does it have such a milky flavor?" but it was still delicious, and I'm glad I came to buy it! The croissant is also very popular, but personally, I recommend the melon pan and rustic bread. When I can buy freshly baked rustic bread, I want to give myself a pat on the back and say "Nice timing!" It would be nice if they offered a one-day ticket where you could purchase each time something is freshly baked, even if they hold it for you.

I recently found a bakery that I was searching for because I have been really into bread lately. I heard that their croissants are especially popular and that you can make a reservation, so I made a reservation and went to pick it up. The interior of the shop was modern and chic. I tried the croissant and it was not bad. Honestly, it wasn't exactly to my taste, but I enjoyed it.

I've tried to visit this place a few times in the past, but it was always closed. However, this time when I stopped by on my way back from another restaurant, it was open! I guess being indifferent is the best approach... haha. I was reading reviews from other customers and it seems like they don't have a full selection of pastries until later in the day. When I went after 11 am, they only had croissants, pain au chocolat, campagne bread, sandwich bread, and scones, so I thought they were sold out. But they had plenty of pain au chocolat, so I realized that this bakery only offers a limited selection. Croissant: I've been curious about their croissants for a while, so even though they had a limited variety, it was okay. I prefer croissants that are crispy and flaky, but the layers were stuck together and I couldn't peel them apart. The buttery taste was subtle and elegant. It was moist and had a chewy texture. The size was quite large, in my opinion. Maybe I had set my expectations too high... Pain au Chocolat: Out of all the pastries available, this one looked the most delicious to me! The system where the staff picks the pastries for you worked well, as I pointed to this one and it was a good choice. However, I wish there was more chocolate inside. It was a bit lacking in richness and bitterness. It seems like their Danish pastries or harder breads are recommended. I've been wanting to try this place for a while, so I'm glad I finally made it!

Visited with family for the first time. Searched for a shop near the children's hospital after their appointment and found Ange. Told my wife there's a bakery nearby and she agreed to stop by. Kids had scones and chocolate x2, we had croissants x2, and got a half loaf of bread for home. Ate in the car as a snack on the way back and it was delicious. Kids and my wife loved it too. Will definitely buy again if we're in the area. Thank you for the meal!

A bakery located near the city tram and ropeway entrance in Chuo-ku, Sapporo. It is a charming yellow house with a wooden counter inside. They offer popular croissants, Danish pastries, and bread. I arrived on a Saturday at 13:56 and purchased two items. The croissant costs 230 yen and is made with fermented butter, giving it a light and crispy texture. The Pain Aux Raisins costs 200 yen and features a generous amount of homemade custard in a large pastry. The croissant has a strong texture with layers of dough, while the custard is subtly sweet with a hint of raisins. Overall, it is a delicious bakery with excellent croissants.

A bakery in Sapporo. It is a cute bakery in a house with a bright yellow exterior. There are breads lined up on a large wooden table, but since I arrived around 2:00 PM, many of them were already sold out. Croissant 230 yen * Made with fermented butter → The fragrance of the fermented butter is amazing. The surface is crispy and the inside is moist. It's delicious, truly a masterpiece. Pain aux Raisins 200 yen * Made with homemade custard → The gentle flavor of custard and the fragrance of butter were delicious.

Today, I went to Sapporo for some errands and on my way back, I searched nearby and found this bakery where the croissants looked delicious, so I decided to visit. The interior of the shop had a cafe-like atmosphere, and it seemed like you had to tell the staff which bread you wanted from the ones displayed. Although there were other breads that caught my eye, I ended up just getting the croissant. When I got home, I warmed it up in the toaster and ate it. The croissant had a crispy surface, a slightly chewy interior, and a buttery flavor. It was light and easy to eat. It was a delicious croissant. I would like to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

A bakery in Sapporo that receives high ratings. The stylish appearance may not look like a bakery, causing some to overlook it. There are only three types of bread displayed when I visited at 12:30. While there may be various reasons for this, it was a bit disappointing. It may be best to visit after making a reservation, as it might be difficult on the first visit. Among the three types, the "Nuts & Raisin" tasted the best to me. The hazelnut and sugar dough is exquisite. The "Croissant" had a heavier dough than expected, with a chewy texture. I prefer it to be a bit less dense and more crispy. The bread I purchased were "Croissant," "Pain au Chocolat," and "Nuts & Raisin."

A bakery located in a residential area of Sapporo. The yellow building stands out. They don't have a wide variety of bread. It seems they bake several times a day, but the scones were sold out. I tried the croissant, which had a moist and large texture, and the Pain au Chocolat, which is also made with croissant dough. Both were big and had a similar impression. They seem to focus on a limited variety of bread.

Today, I called ahead to find out the schedule for Rustique at 2:30, Campagne at 3:30, French bread at 5:00, and Shokupan at 6:00. I arrived at the bakery at the Campagne time. I was hoping they still had scones, but unfortunately they were sold out. The Campagne bread dough seemed to have a hint of sweetness. I couldn't resist and ended up eating a quarter of it right away. The dough was moist and had a nice elasticity. I tried it with the scallop mayonnaise paste I bought recently, and it was a perfect match. I prefer Campagne over Danish pastries. It's a shame that I couldn't buy the Shokupan bread because it was later in the day.

Today, the streetcar was free to ride all day, so I went on a bakery tour with my friend. We set a tough rule of only getting 2 pastries from each bakery (because there's a limit to how many we can freeze...), and one of the places we visited was Anju. As mentioned in other reviews, when we arrived around 1pm on Saturday, they only had croissants, pain au chocolat, and chocolate orange pastries left. However, I was already set on getting a croissant, so it wasn't a problem. I ended up choosing the chocolate orange pastry for my second item. The croissant was slightly larger than usual, and when I took a bite, the aroma of butter spread throughout my mouth. The texture was just right, not too hard or too soft, it was exactly the croissant I was craving. The chocolate orange pastry had the perfect combination of chocolate chips and orange peel. The cookie dough on top was delicious as well, and although it looked small, it was quite satisfying to eat. Not only were the pastries delicious, but the staff were incredibly friendly. It might be a good idea to make a reservation next time, as I am curious about their pain au chocolat and other pastries. I heard that there will be another day of free streetcar rides in July, so my friend and I are already planning our next bakery tour. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

A bakery near the "Ropeway Entrance" tram station. It's a bit hidden away from the main street, so it might be hard to find for first-time visitors. When I tried to visit before, it was closed due to the pandemic, but this time it looked open so I decided to stop by. The shop is small, and when I visited in the morning, they only had croissants (190 yen) and scones (110 yen) on display. I bought both and tried them at home. The croissant had a slightly moist texture with a nice buttery flavor. The scone had a simple taste as it looked. Both were decently tasty, but I wanted to try more varieties. They have the bread baking schedule on their website, and you can make reservations or pre-orders, so I recommend doing that if you want to buy a lot of different types of bread.
