I visited a Vietnamese food store in front of JR Kotoni Station in March 2023. The store was filled with a variety of Vietnamese food products that I had never seen before. I was interested in a particular item and asked the staff about it, but they didn't seem to understand Japanese very well. The customers were also mostly locals. I somehow managed to understand and purchased a spice. I mixed it into chicken and fried it, and the unique flavor of the spice was delicious. I feel like I want to study a little more and visit the store again.

I was asked to write down my address when I couldn't provide a delivery address while shopping at a newly opened store. I was surprised when they asked me to write down their address instead. I didn't expect any special service, but it would have been nice to receive a thank you or some kind of acknowledgement. The service style in Vietnam seems quite different from Japan. One day, I noticed a sign outside the store that read "Vietnam Asian Food" in Japanese and "Chợ việt saporo" in Vietnamese. The store has started to display prices and products more clearly, but some items still lack clear pricing. I saw young Vietnamese employees communicating in Vietnamese with customers, so I asked questions while shopping. This time, I bought some Creative 4 Cheng Ngoc ground coffee, which is a popular brand in Vietnam. It was cheaper at this store compared to online prices. The coffee has a rich aroma and flavor, and it tastes delicious when brewed using a filter.
