I want to have lunch a little earlier. I woke up before 5 am this morning. I had breakfast early. I'm hungry. A restaurant that opens early and that I've never been to before... Ah, Ramen Yumso-san. I wanted to try it once, so it's a good opportunity. I invite my wife to the ramen shop. It feels like a company cafeteria. The entrance is direct. I enter around 11 am. There are already customers. Quite a few... Not just young people, but also elderly people. It seems like there are many regular customers. The main seating is large tables. The area is large, so it seems like you can eat leisurely. It's a system where you order food through the counter, but there is only one staff member! They handle cooking, ordering, billing, and washing dishes all at once. I already knew what I wanted to order. I'll go for the miso ramen, which I haven't seen much on Tabelog. For me, vegetables are a must in miso. I also want to add extra chashu. Miso Ramen 650 yen + Vegetables 100 yen + Chashu 200 yen = Total: 950 yen. My wife goes for the soy sauce ramen for 650 yen. Since there's only one person cooking, it takes some time. It's ready in about 15 minutes. The staff member tells us, "The miso and soy sauce are ready," while looking at us, so we go to pick it up. The bowl isn't that big, but it's filled to the brim with soup, vegetables, chashu, menma, and green onions. It's a generous serving. First, the soup... Hmm. It has a strong miso flavor, sweetness, and a solid saltiness. Oh, I like this. There's no oil on top of the soup, so it's not greasy. But the robust miso flavor hits you. Next, the noodles. Hmm. These are also delicious. The wheat flavor spreads in your mouth. They're a bit on the softer side, but I think it goes well with this soup. The vegetables are cooked thoroughly, so they're soft, but very tasty. And there's quite a lot of them. Oh, I'm so happy to encounter such a delicious miso ramen. It feels like the miso ramen from Asahikawa that has been around for a long time, rather than the newer miso ramen from recent shops. The chashu is well simmered. It has a slightly stronger soy sauce saltiness. If you eat the chashu first and then drink the miso soup, the soy sauce flavor lingers in your mouth and the soup's flavor becomes less noticeable. The amount is quite substantial. The vegetables and noodles feel abundant. I ended up eating it all at once. Oh, the feeling of having eaten a hearty ramen lingers in my stomach. It was delicious. My wife also really enjoyed it. I'm glad. Thank you for the meal! I'll visit again!
