In Asahikawa, one of the restaurants where you can have morning ramen is "Ramen Muso" located at 26-1, Asahikawa City Ryutsu Danchi 1-jo 3-chome, inside Asada Seika dining area (650 yen). The salt ramen looks delicious with its tonkotsu white broth. It follows the simple Asahikawa ramen style with green onions, menma, and chashu. The entrance to the restaurant is inside a market building, so it may be a bit hard to find, but you can look for the ramen flag (Holmen) as a landmark. I used my smartphone navigation and found it easily this time. Muso opened in November 2011 at 9-7 Toyooka, Asahikawa City, and later relocated to the current location inside Asada Seika wholesale market dining area in May 2015. This visit was my first since December 2015. The restaurant opens at 6 am and is one of the few places in Asahikawa where you can have morning ramen, along with Koguman and Nabaryu. The owner reportedly had close contact with a COVID-19 patient in September and temporarily closed the shop, but I believe they are back in business now. The interior remains the same with self-service and mostly table seating. The surprise was that the menu prices have not changed since the relocation in 2015, which is great for customers. The menu includes various ramen options, rice dishes, and side dishes. The salt ramen I had was delicious with Sudo Seimen's low-water content, medium-fine curled Asahikawa noodles. The tonkotsu creamy soup with the right amount of saltiness was perfect for a morning meal. It's one of the places in Asahikawa where you can have morning ramen. I highly recommend it! Enjoyed the meal. Thank you.

I stayed overnight with my daughters in Asahikawa and had breakfast with them the next morning. We visited a ramen shop for breakfast and tried Asahikawa-style shoyu ramen and their original miso ramen. It was a hidden gem, located in Asahikawa Market, serving delicious ramen that fills the stomachs of those who work there. I was surprised by the high quality taste. It's my kind of flavor. I will definitely come back! Thank you for the meal!

In the market, there is a hidden gem of a restaurant recommended by a friend. It's a bit hard to find, tucked away in a nondescript location. Once inside, you enter a nostalgic Showa era diner where the owner handles everything alone, making ordering a bit tricky. You need to time your order when the owner's hands are free. It's cash only and you pay upfront. The friend's recommendation was the soy sauce ramen, but having had ramen the night before, I opted for fried rice which was surprisingly cheap at 600 yen. The parent and child bowl and curry were also priced at 600 yen. The soy sauce ramen was 650 yen, which seemed like a steal. The food is served, and you go pick it up when called. The soy sauce ramen had a rich flavor, the fried rice came with pickled ginger, and miso soup was included. The portion size was generous with lots of pork slices. The meal was delicious, but the richness of the flavors got a bit overwhelming towards the end. My friend struggled to finish their ramen and share the fried rice. It's recommended to share the ramen and fried rice among three or more people. As we left, we noticed sprouts growing by the exit, a heartwarming sign of spring. We then headed to a sports bar to satisfy our hunger, a team of adults on an adventure.

I came to Asahikawa to play. The first stop was for morning ramen. If you follow Google Maps, you can easily find it without getting lost. Look for the flag as a landmark. I like horumon, so I ordered the "Hormen" ramen. It's just a regular Asahikawa ramen. The soup and noodles are not bad, but the horumon as the topping is just not tasty. I was surprised that horumon could taste bad. It felt like chewing rubber, with no flavor even when I chewed it. It's different from the delicious Hormen I love. If you're going to order, I think regular ramen would be better. I like this white bowl.

I went to Ramen Muso-san! It took me a while to find it - I was looking for a place that serves morning ramen. The secret password is "Ramen no Noren". I wandered around the market a bit before finally finding it. Inside, the atmosphere was lively with people talking about Shohei Ohtani's game. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen for 650 yen, and it was ready in just 4 minutes. The ramen tasted just like Asahikawa Ramen - rich and delicious. It may look heavy, but it's actually quite balanced. The portion size was good with plenty of toppings. They also offer fried rice, curry, katsudon, and katsu sets. I always enjoy trying out these types of diners. Thank you for the meal!

This is the 8th store in the Asa Ramen series. The first store is the Kamishihoro Ramen Sapporo Hassamu store, which no longer serves Asa Ramen. The second store is Oota Ramen, which has moved to Minamihoro-cho, on North 34th Street. The third store is Tokoan HIGASHI4, located in Higashi 4, Kita 10-jo, Higashi Ward. The fourth store is Isenojo in Kikusu. The fifth store is Chinatown Ramen Usagi on North 24th Street. The sixth store is Isenojo under the Kuwanon Station viaduct, serving dumplings and noodles. The seventh store is Tokoan SHINKOTONI in Shinkotoni. My definition of Asa Ramen is that it opens in the morning and serves light ramen suitable for breakfast. This store opens at 6:00 AM, which meets the first criteria but the ramen is the strong-flavored Asahikawa style, so it does not meet the second criteria. I was looking for a place to have breakfast and found this place. It is a ramen shop that opens at 6:00 AM to cater to people working at the market, serving soba, udon, curry rice, and more. It feels more like a cafeteria inside the market than a ramen shop. The entrance is in a building related to the market, with a sign in front where you can park. There were three customers already inside, all market workers, but I was also in work clothes so I didn't feel out of place. The menu is displayed on the counter. I ordered shoyu ramen, but my voice must have been too soft and the staff member didn't hear me. He noticed me and asked what I wanted. I paid on the spot, got some water, and waited quietly. The three customers before me also ordered ramen. The ramen came in a soba-like bowl. The soup and noodles were all Asahikawa style. It was delicious but heavy for breakfast. I only took a sip as I was worried about my stomach with all the lard in the soup. It was an unexpected experience to have Asa Ramen training in Asahikawa in the morning. Thank you for the meal.

I've been wanting to go to this place for a while and I've looked at the menu many times. Thanks to Ganma-san's review, I was completely brainwashed by this restaurant. I tried the Shoyu Ramen, which didn't come in a set, along with the vegetable stir-fry. Everything is so cheap that you could even order 3 dishes if you wanted. The owner looked familiar, and after some research, I found out that he used to be in Toyooka. Of course, I went there back then. Now he's running a soba shop, but back then... Anyway, this place requires payment upfront! Once the food is ready, you pick it up at the counter. The ramen was served piping hot with the noodles cooked just right, not too soft. The noodles are from Fujiwara Seimen. The vegetable stir-fry had a nice crunchy texture to the vegetables and wasn't too salty, making it delicious. I even tried putting some on my ramen for a different flavor. I wonder if I should try the Holmen next time. Thank you for the meal!

On 21/12/04, I had "Shoyu Ramen for 650 yen" for lunch on my day off. After finishing my Saturday morning routine, I headed to Aibetsu Town. I was feeling really hungry. Along the way, I decided to stop by this place. It was quite a challenge to find it at first. Who would have thought it would be inside a produce market (laughs). Who would have thought it would be inside a regular company building (tears). The customers here are strong men who work in the market. They were ordering things like "Katsu Curry (extra large)" or "Ramen & Fried Rice," and devouring their meals eagerly. In the midst of it all, I ordered just one Shoyu Ramen. I felt like a child again (laughs). Wait a minute (surprised). This ramen is delicious! The base soup is probably pork bone, with a perfect sauce added, a classic Asahikawa Shoyu flavor. The noodles are made by Sudo Seimen within the same industrial park. They are slightly more hydrated compared to regular Asahikawa noodles, but they go well with the soup. The thickly flavored Chashu pork slices are satisfying. It's nice to have two large pieces on top. The menma (bamboo shoots) are the typical salted type from Asahikawa. And all of this for only 650 yen. In an era where ramen typically costs over 800 yen, the cost performance is excellent. I ate heartily, not losing to those around me, and of course, I finished every last drop of soup. I left feeling completely satisfied. With a clear mind, I headed towards Aibetsu Town. Who would have thought there would be such delicious ramen inside a market? This is a must-visit spot for when you're working outside in the industrial park (laughs).

I'm a typical Kansai person, but I was surprised to find a ramen with a rich and generous filling at a great cost performance. I realized that the ramen I had eaten before was nothing special. I regret it like Chiyoko Shimakura. Well, if you love offal, please try it once. It's a satisfying dish. Please have it in between sightseeing meals. I was truly impressed. Masuzoe Yoichi. ^^

It's a shop located in a slightly hard-to-find place. It's recommended by my colleague. I ordered the shoyu ramen, and the soup has a strong pork bone flavor, but for some reason, it doesn't bother me. The balance between the soy sauce flavor and the broth is great. The Asahikawa ramen has a unique low water content, thin, curly noodles that are cooked firm and mix well with the soup. The hormone (offal) is tender and has a refreshing taste of ginger. The vegetables consist of bean sprouts and onions, which are not seasoned, but they go well with the hormone and soup. The bamboo shoots are salted. Honestly, the ramen was of surprisingly high quality, considering the appearance of the shop. I will definitely come back again.

Market canteen Ramen Yumosou is open early in the morning. It is not visible from the main road, but if you head towards Asada Seika wholesale company, you will see a sign that says "Ramen." When I visited at 9:30, there were no customers, giving me a sense of being in unfamiliar territory. The menu includes ramen, soba, curry, katsudon, and fried rice, resembling a casual dining style. You order and pay at the counter, then pick up your food when called. I had the Shoyu Chashu Ramen with a side of small rice for 950 yen. The soup was a robust Asahikawa ramen style, with firm, thin noodles that were delicious. The chashu was small and easy to eat. The self-service style included sturdy dishes and reusable chopsticks, showing the owner's attention to detail. I look forward to trying the katsu curry next time. ^_^

Every time I go nearby recently, I try to stop by, but it seems like they are taking a break for a while. I was planning to have lunch at Goya, but as I was walking, I saw a sign saying "Asahikawa Ramen?" What? Open for business!? I changed directions from Goya and went straight to Yume So. I heard that they were closed due to the owner's circumstances. I was wondering if they were going out of business, so I was happy to hear this news! I had the spicy miso ramen and happily added fried rice. I was so full that I couldn't eat dinner later. I will definitely visit again!

I'm alone in Asahikawa and it's Monday, but I'm still playing until the last minute, avoiding reality completely. The environment will change from tomorrow, so I won't be able to do the activities I used to do. For lunch, I had ramen to eat quickly before starting drinking at 1pm today. I went to "Ramen Muso" in the Ryutsu Danchi market area. It's Saturday, but they're open. I ordered the soy sauce ramen for 650 yen. It's a cafeteria with one person working, but it's written as "Ramen Muso". There's no ashtray, which is good, but there's a strong smell. Maybe the smoking room isn't far away. The high school baseball game on TV is really loud. Is this a company cafeteria? It's self-service and the water cups are dirty. The noodles are surprisingly not low in hydration. The soup is a little milder than typical Asahikawa style. Overall, it's a tasty ramen considering the price. It might be tough for a woman alone, but female reviewers from Asahikawa seem to be fine. It was a good ramen, but the current legal system and judges' ignorance of sexual violence issues are disappointing. Why is there an acquittal?

This wasn't an employee cafeteria, it was Dream Sou located in the dining space inside the Asada Seika distribution industrial park. It may be a bit hard to find with the red flag at the entrance, but once you see it, you'll know. I ordered soy sauce ramen (650 yen) with extra chashu (200 yen) and a small rice (100 yen). The taste was truly Asahikawa ramen, with a strong broth smell at first, but it all blended well after a few bites. I found it quite delicious. The price of 650 yen is also reasonable. I may have work nearby in the future, and with a variety of menu options, it looks like I've found another place to visit.

I want to have lunch a little earlier. I woke up before 5 am this morning. I had breakfast early. I'm hungry. A restaurant that opens early and that I've never been to before... Ah, Ramen Yumso-san. I wanted to try it once, so it's a good opportunity. I invite my wife to the ramen shop. It feels like a company cafeteria. The entrance is direct. I enter around 11 am. There are already customers. Quite a few... Not just young people, but also elderly people. It seems like there are many regular customers. The main seating is large tables. The area is large, so it seems like you can eat leisurely. It's a system where you order food through the counter, but there is only one staff member! They handle cooking, ordering, billing, and washing dishes all at once. I already knew what I wanted to order. I'll go for the miso ramen, which I haven't seen much on Tabelog. For me, vegetables are a must in miso. I also want to add extra chashu. Miso Ramen 650 yen + Vegetables 100 yen + Chashu 200 yen = Total: 950 yen. My wife goes for the soy sauce ramen for 650 yen. Since there's only one person cooking, it takes some time. It's ready in about 15 minutes. The staff member tells us, "The miso and soy sauce are ready," while looking at us, so we go to pick it up. The bowl isn't that big, but it's filled to the brim with soup, vegetables, chashu, menma, and green onions. It's a generous serving. First, the soup... Hmm. It has a strong miso flavor, sweetness, and a solid saltiness. Oh, I like this. There's no oil on top of the soup, so it's not greasy. But the robust miso flavor hits you. Next, the noodles. Hmm. These are also delicious. The wheat flavor spreads in your mouth. They're a bit on the softer side, but I think it goes well with this soup. The vegetables are cooked thoroughly, so they're soft, but very tasty. And there's quite a lot of them. Oh, I'm so happy to encounter such a delicious miso ramen. It feels like the miso ramen from Asahikawa that has been around for a long time, rather than the newer miso ramen from recent shops. The chashu is well simmered. It has a slightly stronger soy sauce saltiness. If you eat the chashu first and then drink the miso soup, the soy sauce flavor lingers in your mouth and the soup's flavor becomes less noticeable. The amount is quite substantial. The vegetables and noodles feel abundant. I ended up eating it all at once. Oh, the feeling of having eaten a hearty ramen lingers in my stomach. It was delicious. My wife also really enjoyed it. I'm glad. Thank you for the meal! I'll visit again!

There are surprisingly few places in Asahikawa where you can eat ramen in the morning. I searched on Tabelog and since it was a free bus day in Asahikawa, I took a bus from the station to go there. The ramen shop is located in a market about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Unfortunately, you can't drink beer here. The ramen did have the authentic taste of Asahikawa ramen, but the seafood-based soup lacked a punch.

If there was a cafeteria like this in the workplace, I would definitely go there. I had soy sauce and spicy miso. Thank you for the meal.
