A tofu shop in Atsukazu in Rumoi Town. Although it is said to be in Rumoi Town, the actual location is a little beyond the Shiribetsu Tsurutsuru Onsen. I arrived around 10 o'clock because I heard that they sell out by early afternoon on weekends, but at that time, the special tofu was already sold out. I was disappointed as I was looking forward to the special tofu, but I purchased two items: tofu (200 yen) and triangle fried tofu (200 yen). The shop has a nostalgic feel of an old-fashioned tofu shop, reminding me of the tofu shops that used to be scattered around town when I was a child. The tofu was simply enjoyed as chilled tofu with ginger soy sauce, and the triangle fried tofu was lightly grilled and also eaten with ginger soy sauce. The tofu had a lot of moisture and was smooth like silk tofu, with a strong sweetness of soybeans that was delicious. The triangle fried tofu was large, and I cut it in half to eat, and it was tasty. You don't often find this kind of thick fried tofu in supermarkets. It's unique to tofu shops. It's a bit far, so it's not easy to visit casually, but if I have the chance, I would like to try the special tofu.

☆Visit on 2012.01.29 (Sun.)☆ Today, I ate well, drank plenty of hot water, and it's time to start heading back soon (´；ω；｀). As always, it's a bit lonely... (o>ω<o) But, I can't just go back so easily♪ By chance, as I was driving from R39 towards Sohoku Gorge, I came across ☆Nagano Tofu Shop☆ (*｀Д『+』)Discovered!! (*●∀●)Sparkling☆ During my research before going on this trip, I noticed a delicious-looking tofu shop, but I never thought it would be located along the roadside in the middle of nowhere. Even though I've passed by this road several times, I never noticed it before (.；ω；.) At first glance, it looks like an ordinary house (*´∀｀*) Inside, it's a counter-style setup, with a workshop in the back. Instead of choosing the products yourself, you tell them what you want and they bring it out from the back. Without knowing much, I got the Miso Tofu for 170 yen and the Cotton Tofu for 200 yen. Both tofu dishes had a rich and intense bean flavor (♥´艸｀). They were delicious on their own, but surprisingly, when you add soy sauce, they become even more flavorful. The tofu really complements the soy sauce, or rather, the soy sauce enhances the tofu. I thought I wouldn't be able to finish these big blocks of tofu, but I ended up finishing them in no time (*^m^*) Mufu! I also got the Triangle Fried Tofu for 200 yen. This fried tofu was about 5cm thick. When I received it while it was still warm, I couldn't help but say, "I want to take a bite right here!" and the staff said, "Everyone eats it here on the spot." ((◎o◎)) How nice. It seems like it's loved by the locals. They have been making tofu here for over 50 years. They use the local water and are particular about using a traditional pot, resulting in a deep-flavored tofu.
