We decided to go eat yakiniku and went to the local chain restaurant called Kongoen Kazumitei in Tomakomai. It is a popular place with 98 seats, offering both sunken kotatsu-style seating and regular table seating. We sat at a sunken kotatsu table. We ordered the following: - Beef tongue salt: 970 yen per serving - Kalbi: 780 yen per serving - Harami: 780 yen per serving - Wagyu shabu: 790 yen per slice The prices were a bit cheaper compared to Kansai. The meat sauce was delicious. We also had rice and cold noodles. We enjoyed the meat, salad, kimchi, and then took the train to Sapporo.

I have been to various other stores, but I had never visited this one before, so I decided to check it out. The seating is on a raised platform. I ordered the voluminous lunch set, where you can choose 5 types of meat and there are 3 options for rice, so you can enjoy a variety of flavors without getting tired of it.

When you think of Tomakomai, you think of Kingen Garden! It was my son's birthday, and my wife's birthday month, and we had a half-price coupon, so we decided to visit Kingen Garden after a long time! The half-price coupon was very helpful! As app members, our child got free juice and free tea! We also received a birthday coupon for sirloin, which we normally wouldn't order but it was a nice treat! It was delicious, and our child was very happy! My wife, who likes lean meat, thought the sirloin was a bit too fatty, but overall it was great! We also enjoyed the harami with the half-price coupon! Lastly, we had the birthday ice cream with fireworks popping! Served in a chilled stone bowl, it was a huge portion, but our child ate it all up! It was a great day! The bill was also kind with the half-price coupon! We would love to visit again! The salad bar seemed a bit more expensive than before, with lettuce that wasn't there previously? Oh well, no big deal!笑

I went to Kongoen's Wamitei for lunch! It's a well-known yakiniku restaurant in Tomakomai, with 5 locations in the city. The restaurant is very impressive and large. I ordered: Thick-cut Hanasakitan steak - 1,637 yen, Sagari - 899 yen, Wagyu Yukhoe - 999 yen, Wagyu Yakiniku Roast - 1,199 yen, Bean sprout namul - 349 yen, Cabbage kimchi - 349 yen, Rice (medium) - 249 yen. The most delicious dish was definitely the Thick-cut Hanasakitan steak. It had a unique texture and the flavor of the meat was amazing. The Sagari had just the right amount of fat and was very tender and sweet. The Wagyu Yakiniku Roast had a lot of fat, and when lightly grilled and dipped in sukiyaki-style sauce, it was also delicious. I was satisfied with the delicious yakiniku at Kongoen. Next time, I want to try the tongue specialty restaurant "Akabeko." Thank you for the meal!

For lunch, I was in the mood for Genghis Khan (Mongolian barbecue). So I went for the convenient option here. The special Genghis Khan set at Kongoen costs 1,078 yen and comes with a drink, making it a good deal. The special leek soy sauce is also delicious. However, this time the raw lamb had a lot of tough parts, which was disappointing. While deluxe yakiniku lunches may look filling, they often don't satisfy your hunger. So I realized that the best balance is to get a large portion of rice (free) and then get a small rice refill (free) afterwards.

This is a review of the Yakiniku Kongoen restaurant in Tomakomai. We made a reservation for three people for our first visit. The staff recommended making a reservation, so it's good to keep that in mind. We ordered the following dishes: W Kalbi set for 1,089 yen, W Sagari set for 1,199 yen, Kongoen special raw lamb jingisukan set for 1,078 yen, vegetable grill for 499 yen plus tax, and lunch ice cream for 110 yen. The restaurant has a spacious parking lot and box seats where you can relax without worrying about the people next to you. There are also sunken kotatsu seats available. You can order using a touch panel, and lunch is affordable with rice, pickles, soup, and a drink included for around 1,000 yen. The Kalbi was thinly sliced and delicious, and the ice cream dessert was like a snow-viewing daifuku for only 110 yen. I love the Kongoen group for their delicious and affordable food, but I wonder why the Ebetsu branch closed. Thank you for the meal.

This is a yakiniku restaurant located along the national highway in Tomakomai City. I went with a friend and ordered a menu that included all-you-can-drink and all-you-can-eat options. The menu was extensive and the time it took for the dishes to be served was short, which I really appreciated. The part-time female staff member who served us was friendly and efficient, making our dining experience enjoyable. However, the quality of the meat was not exceptional, which was a bit disappointing. I wished the quality of the meat could be improved.

Yesterday, since I had the day off, I went for a drive without any particular destination in mind and ended up on the highway. I got off at Tomakomai and decided to have lunch without much thought. Whenever I'm in that situation, I always end up having yakiniku (Japanese BBQ). It was around lunchtime, so there was a bit of a wait, but we were seated in a hori-gotatsu (sunken kotatsu table) relatively quickly. We started with the wagyu beef upper ribs, which is always a must for me. The upper tongue looked quite big before grilling, but once cooked and topped with green onions and lemon, it was delicious! The sagari (skirt steak) turned out to be quite substantial in size. The oi kimchi (cucumber kimchi) was neither outstanding nor disappointing. The small rice portion was surprisingly generous, but just right in the end. I had a ginger ale, while my companion had 100% apple juice. Yakiniku is always a good choice. Thank you for the meal!

I love this chain. I quickly ordered my favorite menu this time. When dining alone, I am seated at a table for two, as this chain originally started as an izakaya chain. The space is quite narrow with a stove. I ordered the Double Sagari Lunch for 1,177 yen (tax included), which is a menu with double the amount of sagari meat. I always choose the large size for rice, as the price remains the same for all sizes. For work lunches at yakiniku restaurants, I always seem to enjoy cola for some reason, even though I don't usually drink it. However, the taste of the meat can vary depending on the day or the location. This time, the meat lacked depth in flavor. I enjoy soaking the meat in sauce and eating it with gusto. Overall, it was okay! Feel so good!

I'm a little tired. Let's have yakiniku for lunch today... I've been a meat-eater since I was a child, always craving meat! I must have been a handful for my parents during my growing years... Sorry about that. As I enter my mid-40s, the craving has diminished but not disappeared completely. Oh, wait! It's not that simple! While the frequency has decreased, my love for meat remains unchanged. However, my love for fatty meat has somewhat cooled down. Just a bite (laughs). Double sagari lunch set - 1,177 yen (tax included). This set includes an increased portion of sagari, soup, pickles, rice, and a drink. It also comes with three types of sauces, which are fun to try. I've always loved this menu, but sometimes the meat quality varies, which is disappointing. This time, the sagari was a bit of a letdown, lacking in flavor. However, considering the price, the satisfaction level of this meal equals out. The food and service are consistently good at Kongoen, but this particular branch used to be an izakaya, and both the customers and staff walking around make the wooden floor sound like a drum, which is a downside. The two-person table can also be quite cramped with the grill for yakiniku. Overcoming these challenges will be crucial for the future development of this branch.

I visited the restaurant for lunch the other day. I ordered the usual volume lunch set. It includes salad, a choice of 5 types of meat, and 3 types of rice for 1300 yen, which is a reasonable price. I was satisfied with the consistently delicious taste. I especially think the miso marinated beef intestines are delicious.

When I visited for dinner on a Sunday, I was told there were only shared seats available, so I reluctantly looked for another place to sit. I was grateful for the salad bar, and I happily went to get some. However, I wish there were a greater variety of vegetables and dressings available. Also, the seating arrangement made me feel a bit self-conscious, whether I was going to the salad bar or sitting at the table. I prefer dressings with a bit more saltiness rather than sweetness. It would be nice to have a salt-based dressing option. The quality of the meat was consistent with the main branch, so no issues there! Next time, I will make a reservation in advance.

In Tomakomai, I sometimes visit a newly opened restaurant to have yakiniku with my relatives. The room was cozy with private booths. I heard it's a new branch of Kongoen. I wanted to try the Shiraoi beef, so I ordered the Shiraoi beef kalbi set. It was only 1600 yen, which I thought was quite affordable. Despite looking fatty, it was surprisingly delicious with no greasy taste and a nice balance of sweetness. I also tried the sirloin steak and rump steak, which were also very tasty. The wagyu kalbi, upper mino, and hormone were all flavorful and not smelly. For dessert, I enjoyed the espresso ice cream from the stone-grilled series. It had a nice bitterness without being too sweet. Overall, it was a delicious experience, although the only downside was that the rice was a bit hard.

I love Kongouen. I discovered a new store. When the automatic door opened and I took off my shoes to enter, I understood the name of the store. I was torn between adding cold noodles or a salad bar to my bibimbap for the same price, but I chose the cold noodles. The cold noodles were colored like Morioka but were thin like Korean-style noodles. I didn't really like the noodles, but the soup was delicious. I also had a little bit of meat, and I think it's better to eat meat here after all. It was reliably delicious. Thank you for the meal~♪
