[Completely Non-smoking] This is a Mr. Donut store, the largest donut chain in Japan, located in the Maruyama and Miyanomori area. The store is about 80 meters from the intersection with the Ring Road along Route 453. I visited for the first time on September 1, 2023 at 11:00. Although this Mr. Donut is one of the older ones, the interior of the store is clean, as expected from a major chain. The staff are very nice, and they complimented my cute Alonzo Boronzo bunny pouch. I bought a Double Chocolate donut. I don't take risks when buying sweets and usually ignore limited-time offers. Sometimes I get tempted, but not this time (laughs). The donut with chocolate-coated chocolate dough was delicious, even just a bite made me feel happy.

Even though it's Hokkaido, it's hot. I'm almost home but I wanted to cool down, so I made a detour. It's so hot that I ended up drinking iced tea. Since the renovation, it has been very comfortable and keeps me cool. Thank you as always.

The limited-time collaboration donuts from Mister Donut with Toshi Yoroizuka, which have become a tradition before Valentine's Day, are now available in six varieties. I purchased the "Noa Doko Coco @253 (eat-in price)" and "Marron Caramel Sale @253" among the seven types while taking a break from exploring the city with my daughter's family. I have been enjoying Yoroizuka's donuts almost every year, and what makes them popular is the perfect balance of not being too sweet while still retaining the goodness of Mister Donut. The price of 253 yen each is also just right. Pairing them with your favorite coffee or tea makes for a delightful treat. I'm sure I'll be enjoying them again next year. I'm sorry for the half-eaten photo. For white chocolate lovers, the old-fashioned white chocolate version is irresistible! It's crispy, fluffy, and incredibly delicious. Maybe it could be called "White Crunch Chocolate Fashion"? It's a shame that it's only available for a limited time.

I stopped by a nearby Mister Donut to try their collaboration donut with Pierre Marcolini. This time, I bought the Fondant Chocolat Donut. The combination of caramel chocolate's bitterness and slight sweetness slowly spreads in your mouth, and the dough is crispy and delicious. The salted caramel is not too sweet, just the right balance. I shared with a friend who loves sweets, and we both ended up getting it at the same time, which made us burst out laughing. I visited a newly opened Pondering store, which is probably a limited-time product. I went in the morning based on the store information on Tabelog, which said it opens at 7 am, but it seems they actually open at 9 am in the morning. I went back for a second visit at night. I tried the Pondering Coco & Golden (¥160 excluding tax), which had coconut and crispy yellow bits. I thought it would be a delicious doughnut since I like coconut chocolate and golden chocolate, but as a Pondering, it lacked a punch. I thought I liked coconut and crispy yellow bits, but I realized I actually prefer Mister Donut's chocolate doughnuts. I wish they would make this double version with chocolate doughnut dough instead! I also tried the Pondering Crunch & Almond (¥140 excluding tax), which had a crunchy texture from chocolate crunch and almonds. However, since the appeal of Pondering is its chewy texture, the crunchy texture may not be the best match. I prefer the simplest Pondering without any additional toppings!

This is the area around the Subway Nishi 28-chome Station, Miyanomori. While walking around Susukino for a party, I got a bit cold along the way and decided to stop by Mister Donut to warm up. When I looked inside the eat-in area, I saw only men - an older man, a businessman on a business trip, and two young guys. It's kind of sad to see only men in a donut shop... I first warmed up with a Honey Coffee. The Angel French is my favorite menu item at Mister Donut! The light texture, whipped cream, and chocolate coating are irresistible. I also tried the Chewy Fruit Stick for the first time! I chose the Honey flavor. It's nice that it's only 144kcal. It's quite satisfying and has a good balance of sweetness. It has a hint of honey too, so it was a good choice! But why is it so low in calories? Now that I'm warmed up, I need to walk a bit more! It's cold! Thank you for the meal!

On a certain holiday, I stopped by a Mister Donut shop near Nishi 28th Street subway station before the opening time of the restaurant I planned to have lunch at. The parking situation is unknown. The interior of the shop has been recently renovated with a trendy and pop design typical of Mister Donut. There is a small counter where you can sit and enjoy your treats. The background music playing is catchy Western music with advertisements. I decided to just have coffee since I was going for lunch later, but since it was my first time there, I awkwardly ordered a "Pikachu Donut (264 yen)" and a "Hot Coffee (morning price 173 yen)." The Pikachu Donut had a banana-flavored chocolate face, chocolate ears and eyes, red marble chocolate cheeks, a soft and fluffy donut dough, and sweet cream inside. The coffee was delicious too. I noticed that the prices displayed in the showcase were excluding tax for eat-in and takeout, but the receipt showed the prices including tax, which felt a bit odd to me. They should just make everything tax-included. Thank you for the meal.

Upon entering, the store looks brand new and clean. The previous Mister Donut sign was getting worn out, but after the renovation, both the interior and exterior look shiny. They now display a simple cafe lunch menu with items like hot dogs, soba, pasta, and salad. I thought about trying the food, but decided against it. I ordered a drink from the cute and smiling staff, sat at a table, and had an iced coffee. The table seemed like it hadn't been cleaned after the previous customer, so I wiped it down quickly with a hand towel. The tables that customers left quickly were cleaned right away, so maybe this one was just missed. I wanted to enjoy my time in the newly renovated store. The iced coffee was easy to drink with a slight bitterness and richness, perfect for these hot summer days. The parking spot was in the shade, so my car didn't get too hot. The ice in the drink melted quickly, but it was a refreshing experience overall. The drink had a lingering bitter taste and a retro nasal aroma. Still have one left (sweating). I really like the mochi mochi texture of Pon de. Among the ones I chose this time, this was the best. The shrimp gratin I tried for the first time at night was of low quality, so I had a few bites and stopped. I ended up going back to the reliable Pon de Ring. The cranberry flavor was too vibrant, and I preferred the normal or the black sugar one I bought last time. I bought too many Pon de and received some disapproving looks... Well, see you next week! They ended up feeling indigestible. They were consumed quickly. I wanted to experience the mochi mochi texture of Pon de Ring, so it was a shame that it was gone, but I hope to be able to eat it during the ongoing Super Friday. After using the Miyano Mori Children's Hall on the way back, I stopped by the Toko Store in front of it. It was a bit difficult to enter with a stroller! I used a voucher to redeem a lucky bag. It's strange how I always end up going when they are on sale for 100 yen, and not going when they are not. It's a mystery. I often use this bakery because it is close to my relatives' house. The store is not very large, but it is not crowded and the atmosphere is calm with mostly adult customers. They have regular 100 yen sales and discount coupons in newspapers or on their website, so I end up buying too much. I like the Pon de Ring and Angel Cream, so I always end up buying at least two, saying it's for my kids, but I always end up buying more than 10 in the end.
