Somehow, I received another notification about a new menu item. Was it Kagome Chuka Soba? Yeah, that also piques my interest, but I really feel like having the classic "Shoyu" ramen (^^). I'll choose "Shoyu" at the ticket machine that was installed here at some point. It's 980 yen now. Can't help it, right? I'll also get a "small rice" maybe. I'll sit at one of the available counter seats and hand over my meal ticket to the staff while presenting the LINE coupon. This time, the LINE coupon was for white leeks (^^). Seems like the peak time has passed, there's still plenty of space at the counter seats and the raised seating area. This place is known for its Muranaka-style ramen, so many people order miso ramen, but originally, Junren was more popular for its shoyu ramen. Although now it's considered a representative Sapporo ramen shop, Sapporo miso ramen was popularized by Sanpei and Itomatsu. The soup is very rich and dark. At one point, they even called it Sapporo Black. This pitch-black and rich soup is the signature flavor here. Hey, why not try the pitch-black shoyu ramen here? Snow, Moon, and Flowers is also a cozy place ♫

I had the Gomemidori ramen with salt and the Meat Chunk mixed noodles with extra meat. There were two types of ramen I wanted to try, so I invited a friend who was disappointed last time at Midoriya because they couldn't finish their meal. I ordered the Gomemidori ramen with salt, while my friend ordered the Meat Chunk mixed noodles with extra meat and we shared them. The meat chunks were the size of two fists and I was surprised by their size. Both were delicious.

Visited on a hot summer day. The parking lot was next to a stone warehouse behind the store. I ordered miso ramen. I poured water into a paper cup myself. It was around 12:30, and there were only two customers, which made me a little uneasy. There was almost no waiting time, and the ramen was served. The grated onions, ginger, and fried garlic chips were fragrant. The ramen was thick noodles, and very delicious. There were also other unique seasonal creative ramen menus. I regret not ordering them as they looked plain in the sample photos. It was quite delicious, yet it was strange that there were few customers. I think maybe the store's display is plain and lacks promotion. I will continue to visit to try out all the menu items.

On August 15th, K wanted to go to Shiroi Koibito Park, so they decided to stop for ramen on the way. They arrived at the restaurant at 11:30 and easily found a parking spot. It seems they purchased a meal ticket from the machine. Their son ordered the Gomen Shoyu Ramen for 890 yen, which came with a free large size option. The ramen had a light kombu broth and was very easy to eat. The charred pork was also delicious! It seems like it was a limited edition ramen for August. Thank you for the meal!

Tsukemen soy sauce medium with flat noodles for ¥1,080. Ajitama (flavored egg) for ¥120. Charcoal-grilled chashu rice bowl for ¥400, totaling ¥1,600. Overall, it was okay. The broth was a bit too strong for my liking. The flat noodles were incredibly delicious! They had a slippery texture that made them easy to slurp up, and a smoothness that I really enjoyed. The dipping sauce seemed to have burnt green onions and possibly some offal in it, which made it a bit too intense for me. The flavored egg was cooked perfectly and paired well with the dipping sauce. The chashu rice bowl had tender and flavorful chashu that melted in my mouth. I probably won't be coming back here, but I'd like to try a different menu item next time.

I always eat soy sauce ramen, and this is my number 2 soy sauce ramen. The soup is very dark and the flavor is strong. The soup stays hot until the end and remains delicious. The fried rice here is also delicious, but they are not serving it now, which is disappointing. I hope they can make it available for us to eat all the time, even though it may be time-consuming.

It had been a while since I had ramen, so I decided to try the limited-time menu item of potato butter miso curry noodles. I sat at the counter seat and the combination of potato butter, miso, and curry was very Hokkaido-like. You could also choose the type of noodles, and this time I chose flat noodles. After waiting for about 8 minutes, the dish arrived with a whole potato butter. The potato butter went really well with the miso curry soup, and it was amazing. The flat noodles also mixed well with the soup. It was truly delicious, no exaggeration.

#Shinjuku Underground Ramen#Menya Setsugetsuka#This year's ramen adventure, 180th bowl. Visited Menya Setsugetsuka for the second time before it closes on May 14th. Ordered the Miso Ramen for 1200 yen. The miso is cooked in a wok, giving it a unique smoky aroma with a hint of grated ginger. The noodles are the classic yellow medium-thick curly noodles commonly found in Sapporo ramen. Topped with lard, the soup is the quintessential Sapporo-style miso ramen.

#Shinjuku Underground Ramen#Menya Setsugekka#This year's ramen adventure, 177th bowl: "Menya Setsugekka". Until May 14th, they are serving a miso ramen with a unique flavor of roasted miso cooked in a Chinese wok with grated ginger. The noodles are the classic Sapporo ramen yellow medium-thick curly noodles, topped with a hot soup covered in lard. It's the quintessential Sapporo miso ramen! I ordered the Hokkaido Chitose-produced Miso Ramen with leeks for 1400 yen.

I visited a ramen restaurant in Shinjuku underground, expecting high quality due to its reputation. It tasted like ramen with a rich miso soup base flavored with strong garlic chives. It was delicious, but I felt like it needed something more to make it exceptional. In Tokyo, there are other ramen shops like Saninjyu that I prefer, so I would probably go there instead.

Miso Ramen 980 yen
I went to Yukitsuki Hana for lunch on a holiday. I visited around 12 o'clock. First, I purchased a meal ticket at the ticket machine without deciding what to eat. When in doubt, I chose the menu in the upper left corner, Miso Ramen. I sat at the counter seat and handed the meal ticket to the staff, who informed me that I could choose from 3 types of noodles. Since I was not sure, I chose the regular one. The ramen was served in about 10 minutes. It had plenty of vegetables and ginger. The ginger was good. The medium-thick curly noodles were like the traditional Sapporo ramen. The soup tasted light, maybe because of the ginger, but it was undeniably delicious in the strong style of Sapporo Miso Ramen. They also offer various types of noodles, such as miso, salt, soy sauce, with lots of leeks, and even tsukemen. There were so many options that I didn't know what to eat.

After finishing work for the day, I was thinking about where to go for lunch when my senior colleague suggested this place. I had tried to visit before but it was closed, so I had put off going back for a while. Finally, I decided to visit today. The restaurant had a parking lot in the back where I parked my car and went inside. It was a bit past lunchtime but the place was quite busy, showing its popularity. I ordered the miso ramen, a classic dish at this pure sumi-style ramen shop. The soup had a rich animal-based flavor with a layer of oil from lard, but it wasn't heavy or greasy. The miso flavor was not overpowering, with a hint of sweetness and a bit of spiciness, complemented by the ginger which made the aftertaste refreshing. The noodles were medium-thick and chewy, and the chashu pork was tender and flavorful. The ramen also came with bean sprouts, green onions, and pickled mustard greens. Overall, it was a delicious miso ramen, and I would love to try other items on the menu next time. Thank you for the meal.

This was my first visit in several months to this place. I usually enjoy their ramen, but what I love even more is their fried rice, which I visit regularly for. I'm not a big fan of the ticket machine system, but I managed to order using it because I really wanted to have their fried rice. However, today was a different story. When I looked at the ticket machine, I couldn't find the fried rice option anywhere... When I asked the staff, they told me they had stopped serving fried rice. I was so shocked that I almost left without ordering anything, but ended up just having the ramen and left feeling a bit disappointed. The fried rice here was one of the best in Sapporo for me, so I really hope they bring it back somehow.

On the way back from an outing, I found a promising restaurant after searching. Closed on regular holidays... no problem. Along the way... okay. Rating... 3.57. This seems like a hit after a long time! So, I decided to visit. The parking lot was a bit far. There were two customers ahead of me. In the middle of the store, there was a ticket machine. The button on the left top was for "miso ramen 980 yen." Normal for 980 yen, that's expensive. I pressed it and received a ticket. Soon after, the noodles were served. The noodles were thick Sapporo-style noodles. The taste was indeed pure shoyu-based. It was delicious! The chashu was half fatty and half lean. There was also ginger. It was good at first, but the saltiness started to become too strong. By the time I finished the noodles, my tongue was tingling. I couldn't drink the soup. Is this the right way to eat it? I left with a bit of uncertainty. Thank you for the meal.

This shop uses Morizumi noodles. I ordered miso ramen. It has a greasy texture, but it's a bit different from the typical soy sauce base. It feels a bit oily and the taste of artificial seasonings is strong. The soup is not something I could finish until the end. I might try the soy sauce ramen next time, or maybe something else. It was a bit disappointing. The Morizumi noodles are delicious, but the soup was hard to finish.

Menya Setsugetsuka. Visited on a Sunday afternoon and as expected, the popular restaurant was crowded. Used the ticket machine and selected the limited-time mixed noodles with extra large serving, which was the same price as regular. Chose flat noodles. After a short wait, the dish arrived and it was full of green toppings! It was quite a generous portion. Mixed it all together and it was delicious. I didn't add any extra seasonings, but the chili oil and vinegar were a nice touch. Even though it was a large serving, it was easy to eat. I felt satisfied and energized after eating the leeks. However, the smell lingered all day. Eating alone might bother others, but it was truly delicious. Will definitely visit again.

Located in a residential area in Shinkotoni, it's inconvenient without a car. I arrived at 11:15 after a 20-minute walk from Asabu Station on a cold Sunday. It's quite popular with only one group waiting. I ordered the spicy miso with leeks and a mini fried rice. The spiciness wasn't too strong, but the combination of leeks and fat was incredibly delicious! Personally, if it wasn't so far, I would definitely visit this place regularly.

Menya Setsugekka. I had heard about this place before but never had the chance to visit. This time, I had some business in the area and happened to be near the post office, so I decided to stop by. The parking lot is located behind the restaurant. The entrance door is unusually large. The ticket machine recommended the miso ramen, but I ended up ordering the soy sauce ramen after some deliberation. The restaurant was busy with customers coming in one after another during lunchtime. I sat down and, based on a review I read, hurriedly added an order of fried rice. The ramen arrived first, with a strong black soup that packed a punch. There were black things in the soup - black seaweed, I believe. The chashu was also delicious, and the ramen had the kind of flavor I like. A bit later, the fried rice arrived, also with a rich flavor that I enjoyed. I'm glad I ordered it. Finally, I drank the soup and confirmed the rich taste. It's a flavor that could become addictive. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and will definitely visit again.

Spicy miso ramen for 950 yen. Careful presentation, moderate spiciness but slightly salty. Tasty, but lacking in customer service. Curious to try the garlic spicy miso that the person next to me was eating, and also the fried rice! Expectations are high for next time!

LINE friends often take sudden breaks, and the coupons for seasoned eggs have noticeably stopped coming. A friend requested, "If you check LINE on the day and it's available, let me know," so I finally went after a long time. When I entered the restaurant, it felt different. The ticket machine was large and had a strong presence. Only 1000 yen bills are accepted. As I looked at the ticket machine, I noticed that the prices had changed. The spicy miso ramen is now 1000 yen (as of August 2022), while on the food review site, it is listed as 950 yen (as of September 3, 2022). It would be nice if they corrected the price soon. I bought a ticket for spicy miso ramen and sat down. A waitress came to collect the ticket and asked about my preferences. I forgot the exact wording, but it was something like, "Do you have any preferences?" They didn't ask this before, so I was a bit surprised. It would be helpful if they clearly displayed the types of preferences they are asking about, like noodle firmness, oil amount, or flavor intensity. I felt like there was a lot of oil in the spicy miso ramen, so I should have asked for less oil. Maybe my preference is actually the seasoned egg ramen? The water station has been moved further away for self-service. There are still pitchers at the counter, but now they provide small white paper cups that are placed out of reach from the seats. It would be nice to have larger paper cups available. With everything increasing in price, from wheat to oil to soy sauce, it feels like the world of ramen-making has seen price hikes across the board. Is a 50 yen increase per bowl of ramen really enough? Despite my various thoughts and concerns, I enjoyed the meal.

Salt ramen has a quite strong flavor. It has a good amount of garlic in it. It's delicious, but I got a little tired of it towards the end. There is a taste that somewhat inhibits the overall experience. Miso ramen is reliably rich and tasty. The mini fried rice has a generous amount of ingredients and is delicious. I didn't like the pickled ginger. It was my first visit in a while. There are many baby items available, including a bouncer. Water is self-service, and disposable chopsticks, toothpicks, pepper, shichimi spice, and tissues are provided at each table. The service is average.
