The desired restaurant was full → the next restaurant was closed → happened to find this place nearby where I could park my car. Upon entering, they thoroughly disinfected even the soles of my shoes. I ordered a premium sushi set for around 3,000 yen. The uni, chutoro, and other ingredients were delicious and worth the price. The soup bowl seemed a bit sloppy.

I went on a trip to Hokkaido last week and dined out a few times, so let me introduce the restaurants I visited. On the first night in Hakodate, we had dinner at Sara no Tsuki as per my companion's request. We ordered a course menu for 2,000 yen which included 8 dishes, including delicious sashimi and a chicken cream stew that tasted like Knorr's potage. The Camembert cheese tempura salad had a huge portion that we couldn't finish. In Sapporo on the third night, we used a coupon from a free magazine we got at the airport to dine at Izakaya Yanshu Umi no Gaki Taisho. We ordered the discounted Uni and assorted seafood bowl for 2,400 yen, which came with plenty of white fish sashimi and even some medium fatty tuna and sea urchin. However, the rice was warm and the smoke from nearby tables was bothersome. On the final day, we had sushi for lunch at Hitokui in Otaru. The rice could have used more vinegar, but the quality of the fish was excellent. The special nigiri set for 2,100 yen included sea urchin, salmon roe, fatty tuna, crab, and sweet shrimp. The portions were generous and the fish was fresh and delicious. Overall, Hokkaido lived up to my expectations in terms of delicious food. I would love to visit again!

When I placed my handbag on the table, I was told to put it under the table as it is the rule. When my phone rang, a staff member quickly came over as it is required to keep it on silent mode in the store. This meant I couldn't make arrangements for my next sightseeing destination or reservations. I found the tone of the staff to be questionable, and their etiquette in placing dishes and language use was not polite. Unfortunately, the sushi did not suit my taste. The vinegar rice was too sour, the rice was too soft, and the sushi was too tightly packed. The miso soup was too salty to drink.
