The flight was delayed so I decided to return home. Lately, I've been experiencing a lot of airport waiting due to arrival delays. However, as an airport enthusiast, I can even enjoy such waiting times. But once you pass through security, Hakodate Airport is not that great. The only shop besides souvenirs is where I tried the Komagatake soft serve ice cream. It was made with THE milk. So rich and creamy! Delicious. It was a good way to pass the time at the airport, especially considering it was only 360 yen for a generous portion. But still, more waiting ahead.

This is the famous salmon kimchi that Nakai from the former group SMAP highly praised. It is produced by "Kuniwo's Salmon Kimchi (Ltd.)" in the town of Yubari, Hokkaido. At one point, it was so popular that it was difficult to order and had a one-year waiting list. I remember going to Sapporo to buy it. On the way back from a trip to Hakodate, I searched for it and found it at Hakodate Airport. The owner, Mr. Kuniwo, created this menu after much effort to find a "one-of-a-kind flavor" during his time as a yakiniku restaurant owner, carefully balancing the flavor of the fish, quality of the seafood ingredients, vegetables, kimchi fermentation level, acidity, spiciness, and more. The Kuniwo's Salmon Kimchi costs 1,080 yen and is best enjoyed on top of hot white rice. The salmon is cut into large pieces and is tender, sweet, spicy, and rich in flavor from the seafood and vegetables. It's so delicious that you won't be able to stop eating it with rice! In Tokyo, you can also find it at various locations such as Hokkaido Dosanko Plaza in Yurakucho, Ikebukuro, and Kichijoji, Hokkaido Umaimono-kan in Machida, Lalaport Tachikawa Tachifu, Iias Takao, DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, Hokkaido Foodist in Yaesu and Keio Department Store Shinjuku, and Marugoto Hokkaido in Asakusa. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I purchased the "Scenic Bento Box - Letter from Hakodate" that has been on sale since July 1st. It cost 1000 yen including tax. It was available not only at the Pollock store, but also at other stores within the restricted area. The illustrations instead of photos are nice, and there was a postcard with the cover illustration included. The taste was simple and the flavors of the ingredients were well appreciated. It was a satisfying bento box, although the portion was small. However, I didn't need the potatoes.

LeTAO is here. There are many frozen products, so it is convenient to buy them here. White chocolate Niagara Chocolat Blanc is rich with plenty of cream and a fragrant white grape Niagara for 800 yen. A hidden popular item at LeTAO is the red Silo Snow Child Chocolate Potato Chips. Memo: Purchase options include Takasago-ya and ANAFESTA. Enjoy dishes such as Genghis Khan and squid rice. The Ichimonji Ramen is a must-try at the main store next time. They have Snaffles but not Melty Cheese. Purchased small paintings from a hand-drawn artist in the back. Had to cancel the homecoming on September 5th.

(・_・) Blog ⇒ [Riding on the Flowing Clouds♪] Airport shops are fun! You can spend hours just looking around, right? Isn't that normal? Since I'm not used to flying on airplanes... I get all excited like a child (^^;) I don't use airports very often, so I decided to fully enjoy it this time. Looking back, I realized I only use it about once a year. Counting a round trip as one, that's about 10 times in a lifetime. I'm not good at flying, and sometimes when the Shinkansen is cheaper, I choose that instead. When I was younger, I used to drive a lot, so even if it's a bit far, I would usually travel by car. So, due to various reasons... I haven't used airplanes much until now. However, in some cases, you can't go without airplanes. Especially for long distances, airplanes are cheaper than the Shinkansen. As a commoner, I have no choice but to use airplanes in many cases! Particularly, Okinawa and Hokkaido are prime examples of this. Despite all this, I'm really glad I used an airplane this time. I'll talk about that in another article, but this time, let's talk about Hakodate Airport... The shop on the second floor of Hakodate Airport is called "Pollux". Pollux is the name of a hero in Greek mythology. Honestly, the name feels a bit grand (^^;) But they have a variety of Hokkaido specialties. So, I think it's a very enjoyable shop for tourists. As soon as I arrived, I bought some souvenirs for my evening drink at the hotel! Souvenirs are souvenirs, but they are also snacks for alcohol (^^;) However, since it's full of Hokkaido specialties, it's like a non-routine experience for tourists. Among them, I couldn't miss the "Ajikurabe". When you think of Hakodate, you think of "Fume" because the catchphrase is "There is a sea on your tongue" (^^;) The president's exposure is also off the charts, completely ingrained in my mind. I also picked up a few things that go well with alcohol. Hmm, did I buy too much? This trip includes breakfast and dinner for 3 days, but since I stayed multiple nights, I had a fridge available. So, I split the items I bought into 3 days for my evening drink. All in all, I managed to consume everything well. However, the taste was just okay, nothing exceptional...

This is a shop on the second floor of Hakodate Airport. It seems to have the largest store area. They have alcoholic beverages such as Okushiri wine and Hakodate wine. They also have refrigerated products like delicacies, as well as products from Royce, Rokkatei, and Hanabatake Farm. The variety of products they offer is amazing.

Here is the continuation of our trip with Tsunukko & Chibitsunu! We will introduce the souvenirs we bought at Hakodate Airport. First, we have two new items: "Sapporo Rice Cracker Oh! Grilled Corn" and "Jagapokkuru". The Sapporo Rice Cracker is a recreation of the taste of the corn wagon at Sapporo Odori Park, with each box containing 6 small packets. It is made with plenty of corn and has a crispy texture. The Jagapokkuru, a popular Hokkaido souvenir, comes in a box with 10 small packets. It is made only with Hokkaido potatoes and has a crunchy texture. Next, we have two types of "Hakodate Western Sweets Snaffles": "Cheese Omelette (8 pieces)" and "Strawberry Omelette (4 pieces)". The Cheese Omelette is a souffle-type cheesecake with a fluffy texture, while the Strawberry Omelette has a hint of pink color and a delicious strawberry flavor. Both are incredibly tasty. This concludes our 2-night, 3-day trip to Hakodate. Thank you for reading until the end!

Hakodate Pure Chocolate 777 yen Royce is a Hakodate limited edition package, it's chocolate, it's a lot, so I bought it. It's a bit much for one person, but it's enough for a group. It's a good souvenir because it gives you a sense of having been to Hakodate. Since it is not trusted from various directions, I have minimized the log to prevent it from being returned to draft from June 2019. Please look at the image only. Late June 2019 Souvenir visit ( ゚Д゚) Delicious!! ( ゚Д゚) Delicious!! [Fair]感 ===========

Continuing from April 2017... I bought white Koala March at Hakodate Airport as a souvenir for my friend. They were very happy with it. I also bought Hakodate Shio Ramen (3 servings) at Hakodate Airport. I tried making it right away. Hakodate's salt ramen has a light and delicious soup. I will try to find a restaurant in Osaka where I can eat this kind of ramen. Next is a souvenir from my friend in Hakodate. ...To be continued (→here).

The souvenir shops on the second floor of Hakodate Airport are divided into Takasago-ya and Pollux. Both shops have similar products, and you can tell which shop it is by the sticker. I didn't buy anything there because I was heading to Otaru where I could purchase similar items at New Chitose Airport. I was interested in the Golden Seal Gomemochi Tea. It is made with Hokkaido Nanbu-gome and contains 40% gome and 60% real kelp, a rare and valuable type of seaweed. The combination of the flavor of real kelp and the thickness of gome creates a rich flavor.

I received this as a gift from my favorite reviewer at a girls' night out! I absolutely love, love, love the Marseille Butter Sand♬ When it comes to chocolate souvenirs in Hokkaido, it's "Rokkatei" san's product. It's been a while since I had it, but I think the box design has changed? Come to think of it, how many years has it been since I last had it? (laughs) It's a thick, moist cookie. The rich taste of butter with a hint of raisins is not overwhelming. Once you take a bite, you can't stop until you finish it! I devoured it in one go♥ There are various similar cookies from different manufacturers, but each product has its own unique touch. I think the Marseille Butter Sand stands out from the rest. Thank you for the treat♥((“(人ω・)

Hakodate Racecourse Tour 2013 Finally, the time has come to return to Tokyo. I bought ramen, walnut mochi, and souvenirs, and before passing through the baggage inspection, I stopped by for one last drink. Sapporo Classic Wine and others were lined up in an open refrigerated case. There were also packs of 6 bottles, maybe for souvenirs? My sister wanted one, but it was too heavy, so I declined (^^; I can't really tell the difference in taste between beers, but there is a certain charm in having something that is limited to Hokkaido. I always end up falling for it every time (^^;

This is quite delicious. When sharing souvenirs at the office, it always ends up being one per person. I'm sure I'm not the only one who wishes for a little more. Is it okay to call it the black thunder with white lightning? (I have never tried Black Thunder) The crispy plain biscuit, slightly bitter cocoa cookie, and smooth milk chocolate create an exquisite harmony. It's a new level of deliciousness. I looked it up. Do you know the old name of Hokkaido? When you travel to Hokkaido, you will surely hear it, right? It's Ezo. It seems that on August 15, 1869, with the government decree, Ezo became Hokkaido. Have you ever thought about why only Hokkaido has "do" in its name? Have you ever considered that? The explorer Matsura Toshirou, famous for the end of the Tokugawa shogunate, is said to be the one who named it. In 1869, Matsura submitted a proposal for the name of the region and listed six possible names. Among them, "Hokkaido" was chosen by changing "Kai" from "Hokkai-do" to "Kai" from "Kai" to "Hokkai-do". Hokkaido is the only one with "do" as a single administrative unit. By the way, did you know that there was a time when Hokkaido had prefectures? Did you know that there were three prefectures in Hokkaido: Hakodate, Sapporo, and Nemuro? Please look it up for more details. Was Black Thunder the original product at first? Was it later released with milk chocolate coating? I received a delicious souvenir. For Hokkaido souvenirs, it's the white Black Thunder! (^^)

<About the Shop> A shop located in the departure lobby (2nd floor) of Hakodate Airport. Among several souvenir shops on the same floor, this shop is centrally located and has the largest sales floor area. It turns out that this shop is operated by Hakodate Airport Building Co., Ltd. They offer various products such as sweets, snacks, and alcohol. I purchased a large quantity of Yuraku Seika's "White Black Thunder," which is a popular item. By using a coupon attached to an information magazine obtained during my travels, I received a 5% to 10% discount on all items. <Products> - White Black Thunder (12 pieces) ... 630 yen - Length: about 6cm - Width: about 3cm - Thickness: about 1.5cm - Weight: about 27.5g Originally introduced as a special product for Rakuten's entry into the market in October 2010, White Black Thunder became a limited sale item in Hokkaido due to the production factory being located in Hokkaido. This snack is a cocoa cookie and plain biscuit coated in chocolate. The White Black Thunder is essentially the same as the Black Thunder, but with a white chocolate coating. It is only sold in boxes of 12 individually wrapped pieces. The white chocolate coating is made from Hokkaido milk, beet sugar, and Bourbon vanilla from Madagascar. It has a rich and delicious taste, with a satisfying combination of white chocolate and crunchy cookie texture. - White Black Thunder Mini (150g) ... around 350 yen - Height, width: about 3cm - Height: about 1.5cm - Weight: about 12.5g The mini version of White Black Thunder was released in August 2012. These are smaller versions of the original snack, with a similar taste. Each bag contains around 12-13 pieces of the mini snack. It offers the same delicious flavor in a smaller size, perfect for snacking on the go.

I bought souvenirs at Hakodate Airport. I got my family's favorite snacks: Kaitaku Okaki Hakodate Squid for 490 yen (tax included), Kaitaku Okaki Erimo Konbu for 490 yen (tax included), and Kaitaku Okaki Esashi Scallop for 490 yen (tax included). These snacks contain dried squid, konbu, scallop, and rice crackers with perfect saltiness and are incredibly delicious. Especially the squid, konbu, and scallop flavors are excellent. I wish I had bought more. I also bought Mifuyu Sakura Momochi for 896 yen (tax included) from Bitou. It's a chocolate snack from the famous Shiroi Koibito brand. It was my first time trying peach chocolate, and it was fruity and delicious, with a crispy pie crust inside. It was a new and tasty experience. Thank you for the meal.

In Hakodate City, Hokkaido, there is a shop in the terminal building of Hakodate Airport. They sell various souvenirs related to Hakodate, and I came across something called "tarasumi." It seems to be processed tarako (cod roe) like karasumi (bottarga). The size is small, so I bought one to try at home. It was priced at 1000 yen each. When I tasted it, the texture was similar to karasumi, sticking to the teeth, with a salty flavor that goes well with sake. It had a subtle tarako flavor.

At the airport, I bought some butter to enjoy during the wait. Remember to choose refrigerated ones on the last day! There was premium butter available, but this time I chose based on the packaging. I tried Hokkaido butter, Trappist butter (fermented butter), and Ranch butter. Butter is versatile and convenient to use, and Hokkaido butter has a nice salty taste. Delicious! Thank you for the meal!

"The Hakodate Depart" at Hakodate Airport has a mountain of "ika meshi" (squid rice) on display, making it tempting to buy. When it comes to this local specialty, Abeshoten with its long history is the go-to place. Personally, I love this particular design. Bring it home, soak it in hot water for 15 minutes, warm up the sauce, then slice and eat. The squid soaked in sauce, combined with rice, is delicious. Drizzle more sauce on top for a savory and slightly salty flavor that Japanese people love. "The Hakodate Depart" is a souvenir shop where you can try various types of "ika meshi"!
