I went to try the charcoal-grilled dishes, seafood, and tofu, and it was good. However, it seemed like the staff was not enough, maybe because it was the end of the year. The food and drinks took a long time to arrive, and many of them were already cold. It was disappointing to see that the dishes could have been much tastier if they were served fresh.

I saw a signboard and decided to try lunch at Maido-san! I went at 13:30, so it was very empty and the atmosphere was nice. The food was a bit mediocre. I chose the fried dumplings lunch, but it didn't come with any side dishes, so it was a bit unsatisfying. There was no dressing for the vegetables either. I received a complimentary mountain wasabi tofu as a LINE friend registration benefit, which was nice, but it seemed like the dried mountain wasabi had been shaved and some dry pieces were mixed in. Maybe seafood is the main focus, so if I have the chance, I would like to try other menu items next time!

The visit was for a banquet. I remember this place was known for its tofu, right? But there were hardly any tofu dishes (just appetizers and steak). It's a set course meal, so it can't be helped. On the other hand, if there were only tofu dishes, it might be unsatisfying. If you want to eat tofu, you should order it separately! But that doesn't mean the course meal was bad. The taste was... average! Haha. As banquet food, it was sufficient, don't you think? We were there to drink, after all! Haha. We had a good time together and were satisfied. The staff were also very good. Thank you for the meal!

I visited Maido Odori Minami 1-jo Store on the first day of the consecutive holidays on 18/9/16 for a drinking party. We started at 4 pm this time, we used a coupon for 2 hours of all-you-can-drink for 990 yen + 1000 yen for unlimited drinks until 10 pm. We started with a toast with Sapporo Classic! The appetizer was marinated gizzard. For food, we had a sashimi platter with 4 kinds of fish, but they all seemed to lack freshness. We also ordered Uni Tofu, but couldn't really taste the sea urchin. We were too drunk to remember the taste of the other dishes we ordered - edamame, fried squid, Hokkaido chicken zangi, and potato fries. In the end, we drank well from 4 pm to 10 pm and left the restaurant.

The QR code ordering system was a bit challenging for me as a senior citizen with tired eyes from work, struggling with small text on the phone screen in dim lighting, and having to double-check for mistakes or accidentally touching the wrong thing and having to start over. However, the tofu was delicious and some of my friends even asked for seconds. The sashimi was fresh, and the charcoal-grilled dishes were tasty. The all-you-can-drink option was also very affordable, which was great. The only downside was that the timing of when the dishes were served seemed a bit off, with some dishes arriving much later than others, making them cold by the time they got to us.

The hotel recommended a restaurant where you can enjoy seafood and various Hokkaido dishes for dinner. The restaurant had private rooms, which was a nice environment for dining, but it was a bit difficult to have a conversation due to the noisy atmosphere from other customers who were lively like in an izakaya. The Hokkaido dishes were not as abundant as expected. The sashimi was delicious, and the Zangi (fried chicken) we ordered was much larger than expected, which was good. The prices were cheaper compared to the izakayas I usually go to in Tokyo, so it was good value for money.

Visited for the first time in July 2018 for a drinking party with old friends. I usually leave the planning to the perennial organizer, but this time he led us here. After indulging in all-you-can-drink at the first place, we moved on to the second venue, which was, as usual, an izakaya. The organizer has gotten better at choosing restaurants, but the izakaya chain pattern is still there. However, it's a testament to the experiences gained as a salaryman. He knew that I love "Kita no Katsu" from Nemuro, a local sake from Hokkaido, and promptly ordered it for me. "You've become quite thoughtful," I thought, even though he was a former subordinate. It's always a joy to see the growth of former colleagues, especially over a drink.

I found a restaurant near Sapporo Station where you can eat crab. The restaurant is located in the basement of a building, making it a bit hard to find. I was able to make a last-minute reservation on a Saturday night. I tried dishes like fresh oysters, hairy crab, snow crab sashimi, octopus tempura, and tofu and okra salad. The hairy crab was slightly dry, but still delicious. The octopus tempura was very tasty. Considering the prices, I think the cost performance is good. The basement location made the air a bit stuffy, and the cigarette smoke was a bit bothersome. The service was very good.

I have a regular meeting with my friends, although there are only three of us. We have been friends for over 20 years and are in similar positions, so we can vent our frustrations that we can't usually express. Last year, we were all too busy to meet even once, so we decided to get together during this free time. But there were so many demands - they wanted to start at 3 pm, didn't want to move too far, and wanted a private room. I searched and found a place that met all their criteria - a private room with all-you-can-drink starting from 4 pm, nearby, and with a coupon. As someone who doesn't usually drink much, I make an exception for this gathering, just so I can keep up with my friends. We arrived at the restaurant, and I was the first one there. The private room was bright, which was appreciated by us older folks. We started with a toast and then the conversation began. Before we knew it, the waiter was waiting for us with a puzzled look because we hadn't ordered anything yet. We quickly ordered some appetizers and dishes, such as pickled vegetables with wasabi, grilled oysters, thick grilled egg, chicken thigh skewers, homemade potato chips salad, mackerel, grilled fish head, and salt-grilled yellowtail. The food was delicious, especially the yellowtail which was surprisingly affordable at around 500 yen. The service was great, the atmosphere was nice, and the food was decently tasty. And the best part? The bill for the three of us with all-you-can-drink was in the 7000 yen range. What a fantastic deal! I will definitely come back to this restaurant.

I was looking for a place with private rooms for a serious conversation, and I found the perfect restaurant! They had a wide variety of tofu dishes like miso-grilled tofu and wasabi skewers. I tried the layered yuba mille-feuille, which was rare and elegant, and very delicious. The private room was perfect for a relaxed conversation, and the restaurant is conveniently located near the subway station. This place might be a good choice! ^-^

The live Botan shrimp is delicious as you peel the shell off the lively shrimp yourself. I also wish the menu would include prices with tax included.

I used a coupon for a 3-hour all-you-can-drink deal for 990 yen. The reservation must be made by the day before. The deal includes draft beer, sparkling wine, and fruit sake. There is a wide variety of drinks available. I enjoyed various food items like crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside thick fried tofu, and a delicious dish of rolled yuba with shrimp and cheese, which was crispy on the outside and creamy with plenty of cheese inside. The whole squid with cheese was a bit bland, but tasted better with soy sauce. I also tried the original Yommy drink (yogurt + collagen + hyaluronic acid + milk) with fruit, some of which had frozen fruits in it. Since I had drunk too much the day before, I mainly stuck to the soft drink version of Yommy, which was surprisingly priced at 190 yen per glass. The alcoholic drinks, such as shochu and some beers, were priced at 490 yen, while others were 390 yen, so I realized that it might have been better not to opt for the all-you-can-drink deal.

A large izakaya restaurant located on the east side of Marui building on B1F in Odori, Sapporo. Hmm, wasn't this place here before? I remember having a few parties here. They offer drink-all-you-can for less than 1,000 yen, which is recently favored by middle-aged men. You order food on the spot. I'm at an age where I don't need the forced menu and a belly full of food at parties. They didn't accept the coupon, just brought the beer. The temperature is rising and the beer on the main street is bustling, so I gulp it down. Surprisingly, I immediately ask for a refill of beer. I look at the menu and wonder what to order. Not much catches my eye, but since it's a tofu place, I go for something like a Yuba mille-feuille and boiled tofu. I also order grilled chicken on a hot plate, edamame, wasabi-flavored daikon salad, and a few skewers of yakitori. Have I fulfilled my drink-all-you-can obligation with this? They serve a beer with the appetizer, and then I don't want any more beer. Maybe some sake... Oh, they have a huge variety of drink-all-you-can menu, but the sake section just says "sake (hot, cold)"! Oh no. I try a peach fruit flesh drink and some other strange liquids that I wouldn't usually look at, and end up with a black mist mixed with hot water. How many refills of black mist? Um, let's see... The Yuba tofu, what was that again? It has a creamy texture like cream cheese, delicious but how about as tofu? Tastes good. Yuba is also delicious. It seems they are aiming for a complete female audience, as the drunk sake middle-aged man is not needed here. The wasabi daikon salad has a nice kick to it and tastes good. The rest, well, I'll just say they are neither good nor bad. It's a hidden gem on the main street where you can enjoy various cocktail drinks with the drink-all-you-can option. This place was not suitable for a middle-aged man. My apologies.
