Rice balls are always delicious. The seasonal "Sakura Rice Ball" has a cherry blossom flavor that makes you feel the early spring. This bento is colorful, filled with lots of vegetables, and healthy. The price is also reasonable. ◆◆◆◆◆◆ 【First Post】 ◆◆◆◆◆◆ I had the most popular "Red Fish White Soy Sauce Grilled Bento." Rice Hachi is a rare takeout specialty store for rice balls!! 【October 2013】 Rice Hachi is a specialty store for rice ball takeout. It is a rare specialty store for rice balls in Sapporo. I visited when I was at Daimaru Sapporo. This store is located on the basement floor 1 of Daimaru Sapporo, directly connected to JR Sapporo Station in Chuo-ku, Sapporo. Please check the exact location of the store on Tabelog. At Rice Hachi, there are always several types of rice balls available. There are regular and seasonal rice balls. For the autumn season, there are "Matsutake Rice Ball" and "Dai-gyogyo Salmon Rice Ball." You can also buy individual rice balls, but there are also bento boxes available. This time, I bought the most popular bento box at the store, the "Red Fish White Soy Sauce Grilled Bento." You can choose from three types of rice balls. I chose three types, including the autumn regular "Matsutake Rice Ball." ■ Red Fish White Soy Sauce Grilled Bento Rice Balls: Matsutake Rice Ball Seasonal Rice Ball with Matsutake Mushrooms, Ginkgo Nuts, and Aburaage. It has a subtle Matsutake flavor with small pieces of Matsutake. Chestnut Rice Ball Regular Rice Ball with Chestnuts and Sweet Potatoes. It has a light saltiness that enhances the flavor of the chestnuts. Five-ingredient Rice Ball Regular Rice Ball with Shiitake Mushrooms, Chicken, Bamboo Shoots, Carrots, Burdock, and Konjac. It has many ingredients and is easy to eat. Side Dishes: Red Fish White Soy Sauce Grilled Dish Simmered Bamboo Shoots, Lettuce The red fish is grilled with a well-balanced seasoning. The finely sliced bamboo shoots hidden under the red fish have a mild and pleasant taste. Simmered Dish with Carrots, Shiitake Mushrooms, Lotus Root, Taro Egg Omelette Sashimi Konjac in Vinegar Sauce Meatballs Quite meaty with a sweet and savory sauce Pickles Takana Pickles Shibazuke Pickles Price: 800 yen The rice balls are not strongly flavored. The side dishes in the bento are not heavily seasoned to not overshadow the rice ball flavors. It is easy to eat. The price of the rice balls varies depending on the type. Choosing a higher-priced rice ball makes the bento more cost-effective. In the current season, the "Matsutake Rice Ball" is the most expensive. Next are the "Chestnut Rice Ball" and "Dai-gyogyo Salmon Rice Ball." The "Five-ingredient Rice Ball" is the cheapest, but I often choose it because I like the taste. (laughs) It is a bento box that allows you to enjoy various flavors. Rice balls are indeed delicious. I would like to choose the "Matsutake Rice Ball" next time if it's autumn. I will probably choose the "Five-ingredient Rice Ball" again next time. (laughs) It was delicious, thank you.
