Today's lunch plan was to have Shio-san's Nichi Nichi Bento with the whole family, despite the rainy weather forecast. We had been discussing this with our daughters for a few days and decided to go ahead with it. We didn't make a reservation, but we were able to purchase enough for the whole family. My husband chose white rice, while the rest of us had brown rice. The main dish today was white onion wrapped in meat and fried, with sweet and crunchy onions that went well with the rice. I saw on Instagram that the white onions used were from a dedicated farm called "Yukigeshiki," which sounded delicious. The bento also included tasty rolled omelette, carrot and dried squid salad, purple cabbage tuna salad, and pickled mustard greens with fried tofu. All the dishes were healthy and delicious. The dried squid and tuna added a subtle flavor that enhanced the overall taste. My husband's white rice version had zucchini kinpira instead of pickled mustard greens, which was a nice touch. At my daughter's suggestion, we added some mentaiko halfway through, which was also incredibly delicious. This bento shop is known for its delicious vegetables, which my older daughter loves, while my younger daughter prefers a bit more meat. Overall, it was a satisfying and delicious meal. Thank you!

Here is the translation of the restaurant review:
"This healthy and delicious bento shop is usually hard to visit during regular business hours. Last Saturday, they were open on the first Saturday of June, so I eagerly bought a bento and enjoyed it in the garden with a beer. Still savoring the experience, I checked Instagram and found out they are open again this Saturday. I rushed to get there right at opening time with my chair, beer, and ready to enjoy. First, I tried the main dish, fried chicken with soy sauce, and the leek sauce paired perfectly with the brown rice. Delicious! And the beer is also delicious! I appreciate the variety of vegetables as side dishes. Stir-fried finely chopped green peppers and bacon, a Thai-style carrot salad with nam pla, zucchini and eggplant in a light soy sauce, and a soft egg roll for a refreshing finish. Ah, it was delicious again this time! Thank you for the meal~♪ I saw on Instagram at 13:30 that they had already sold out, so it seems like it's better to make a reservation next time. They also offer visually appealing wappa rice and sets of side dishes for dinner."

About a year ago, a new restaurant opened up, and I had been following them on Instagram but hadn't had a chance to visit because they were only open for lunch on weekdays. However, I saw on Instagram that they were having a special Saturday opening, so I went to check it out. When I arrived, even though it was before opening time, I could see regular customers chatting and having a good time. The service was excellent, and I was able to buy my bento box with a smile. I chose the "Bean Sprout and Garlic Chive Meat Miso Spring Roll" as my main dish. It also came with egg omelette, carrot salad with fish sauce, marinated purple cabbage, blanched Chinese cabbage, and a choice of brown or white rice. I chose brown rice. When I got home, I enjoyed my bento box and a beer in the sunshine in my garden. The spring roll was crispy and flavorful, and the side dishes were all delicious in their own unique way. It was a satisfying meal, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys cooking at home. Sometimes, it seems like there is an eat-in space inside Sam's Bike, so if you're into mountain biking or BMX, you might enjoy it. I don't know when I'll be able to eat there again, but I will definitely be back. It was a great experience, and the food was delicious. Thank you for the meal! I also remember there used to be a soup curry restaurant that started out in Sam's Bike and then moved out on its own.

On a certain weekday, I visited a trendy bicycle shop in Toyohira-ku, Tsukisamu Nishi 1-jo, which also operates as a gentle and popular bento shop offering only one type of bento box on certain days. As there seemed to be no parking lot, I had to think about where to park. The interior of the shop was impressive, with a display of high-end bicycles with thick tires lined up neatly. The female owner greeted me from behind the counter. I decided to try the daily bento box, "Fried Chicken with Green Onion Namul (910 yen)", which was featured on Instagram and in a magazine. Luckily, they had one left for me. The bento was served promptly, and upon tasting it, I found it to be delicious and gentle in flavor. The main dish consisted of two pieces of fried chicken with a relatively light salt seasoning and a flavorful green onion namul on top. The side dishes included pickled carrots with cilantro, a light and refreshing daikon and aburaage simmered dish, enoki and pickled vegetables, colorful turnips, a well-seasoned boiled egg, and rice with a firm texture. Despite the slightly higher price, the bento was satisfying and made me forget about the cost with its appearance and taste. I enjoyed a nourishing meal and look forward to visiting again in the future. Thank you for the meal.

My eldest daughter had a fever of over 38 degrees, so I took her to the fever clinic. It's amazing how the world has advanced with online consultations and car visits. The antigen test and influenza test came back negative, phew. My daughter hasn't been able to eat properly since yesterday, so I asked her what she wanted to eat and she said she wanted shio's bento. I immediately drove to the organic bento shop that I rent from Sam's Bike, one of the top shops in Sapporo. I parked in one of the three parking spots, leaving my daughter in the car, and went inside. I arrived a little before 12 o'clock and managed to secure some white rice bento as they were running out of the brown rice my daughter requested. They asked me to wait for about 10 minutes, which I gladly did. I got three bentos with chicken miso fried chicken, hamburger (tsukune), and deep-fried yellowtail, a nice variety. It seems like reservations are a must now. I brought them home and my daughter was thrilled with the hamburger, while I enjoyed the chicken miso fried chicken. She said it was delicious, and the hamburger was also very tasty. She finished everything in no time, thank you for the meal! My daughter, who was almost back to normal, left some rice but finished everything else, which was great. The 800 yen bento was worth it for me, as I love healthy bento. I also received the negative result of the PCR test in the evening, phew.

Today's lunch was delicious! The restaurant is usually only open for lunch on weekdays, but I saw on Instagram that they were open on this holiday, so I went early before they sold out. They are located inside Sam's Bike shop near Mogetsu Chuo Station, within walking distance. They have about 3 parking spaces next to the shop. The main dish today was a delicious two-piece minced meat patty with hijiki seaweed. You can choose between white rice and healthy brown rice. The side dishes were colorful and creatively seasoned. I especially liked the carrot salad. Overall, it was a tasty meal. Thank you for the meal!

The daily bento box at SAM'S BIKE, located along the Mizuyuji-dori in the Mondor area, costs 810 yen. The menu changes daily, with a choice of brown rice or white rice only. The bento is colorful and healthy, with various side dishes made from vegetables without using oil. The main dish on this day was "Kinpira Tsukune with Hijiki," which was small and round with a nice texture. The minced meat was likely chicken breast, and the flavor was mild and pleasant. The three side dishes included carrot and burdock, komatsuna ohitashi, and daikon and fried tofu simmered dish, all with a low salt content and gentle seasoning. The slightly soft brown rice was easy to eat even for those who are not fond of it. Overall, the bento was delicious and well-prepared.
