Today is the first day of my two-day weekend! I woke up around 2:30 in the morning. I read a lot of reviews and got hungry, so I had the "Strong Donbei Kakiage Soba" for breakfast. The weather forecast in Sapporo says that the temperature will rise today and tomorrow. My wife is working, so I'm going to visit my mother-in-law at the care home alone. There have been 4 cases of infection at the care home. Can I still visit? It's at my own risk! I need to go to the bank to check my pension and salary. For lunch, I will buy a bento from the nearby LUCKY store. When I went in, it looked like a deli corner, but they had a sign saying, "All our products are baked in-store." The name of the store is "Farine." I bought a Baby Ring Donut set for 410 yen and a Bacon Egg Cheese Muffin for 270 yen. The muffin was delicious, with thick bacon and a generous egg salad filling. The muffin had a good texture. The donut set was also tasty. Next time, I will try the Parisian Crusty Baguette. It is long and dark in color with a crispy crust. It smells like freshly baked bread. It's cheap and delicious, so I recommend it to everyone!

When it gets hot, my symptoms worsen, as I have a designated rare disease by the government. There is still no cure for my rare disease. I receive "blood products" for 5 consecutive days, which temporarily improves my symptoms, but there needs to be a few weeks gap between each administration. Also, I cannot receive vaccines like COVID-19 for a month after receiving "blood products." Last year, I was hospitalized 5 times for rare disease treatment. I was hospitalized in January 2022, but was discharged safely 37 days ago. Your supportive comments are a source of strength for me during my hospital stays. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. In the future, I plan to mainly post reviews of past visits that have not been reviewed yet. I will limit new visits based on my health condition. When I visited the Kikusui Motomachi area, I decided to stop by "Lucky Kikusui Motomachi Store." Inside the store, there was "Farine," an in-store bakery that I have been using since before at Lucky Yamate Store. Farine seems to be related to the supermarket "Hokuyo Lucky." I often see it at Lucky's stores. I visited with my usual companion just after lunch on a weekday. This store is located in the Kikusui Motomachi area of Higashi Ward, Sapporo, along Nishi 7-jo Yonesato Street, inside "Lucky Kikusui Motomachi Store." Please check the exact location of the store on Tabelog. I visited just before 2 pm on a weekday. The Farine counter is much more compact than the "Lucky Yamate Store" and has fewer items. I bought a few items. Payment is made at the same register as Lucky. ■ Rice bread with walnuts Weight: 192g (after deducting the bag) 3 pieces per bag Inside, the bread is mixed with walnuts, giving it a slightly reddish-brown color. As you chew, the umami flavor spreads in your mouth, typical of rice bread, with a chewy texture Price: 270 yen (tax included) ■ Plain rice bread Weight: 88g (after deducting the bag) 3 pieces per bag A simple, rice bread with a white color inside, with a chewy texture Price: 248 yen (tax included) ■ Parcra Baguette Weight: 286g (after deducting the bag) Length: 45cm Made from 100% Hokkaido wheat, baked until crispy. The crispy crust is nice. Price: 324 yen (tax included) Farine offers reasonably priced bread. I really like Farine's "Long Apple Pie," but I couldn't find it this time. The "Hotel Bread" made with "Kitanokaori" Hokkaido wheat is also a good sandwich bread. The "Parcra Baguette" seems to have improved in quality compared to the previous baguette. It's a bread that goes well with wine. It's convenient to be able to buy bread when you come to the supermarket. Next time, I am definitely going for the "Rice Bread with Walnuts" again. Thank you for the delicious meal.

This is Chikusui Motomachi. I had ramen, but it wasn't quite satisfying, so I decided to look for a supermarket. Lucky was nearby so I stopped by. Inside, it was Lucky Day. Lucky Day is always crowded, right? The line at the register was long with couples with baskets full of items! In the back, there was Farine! I bought some bread. In the past, the bread used to be at a separate register, but now you have to line up at the register with individually wrapped bread. Frank 83 yen, Cheeseburger 104 yen. I enjoyed them at a nearby park. The Frank is actually a sausage, not sure why it's called Frank. The bread-like dough is delicious, but the highlight is the sausage. The mayonnaise adds a nice touch. Well, 83 yen is a great deal. The Cheeseburger has a thin bread with a hamburger patty and ketchup inside, with cheese on the outside. The hamburger patty is more like a vegetable-filled minced cutlet, with a small amount of meat. It's decently tasty. Great value for money, and a decently tasty bread. Thank you for the meal.

▼Location▼
Located inside the Lucky Kikusui Motomachi store along Minami 7-jo Komekuradori in Sapporo.
▼About the Shop▼
This is an in-store bakery operated by Hokuyo Lucky, which operates supermarkets such as Lucky in Sapporo and its surrounding areas, and City in other regions of Hokkaido.
▼Menu▼
They offer a variety of soft breads, pastries, and side dishes.
▼Food Tried▼
▽Croissant 160 yen▽
(February 2015) A croissant with a nicely browned surface. The texture is crispy on the outside and slightly moist inside. The butter flavor is moderate, making it a decent croissant.
▽Strawberry Cream Puff 180 yen▽
(February 2015) This pastry contains strawberries and cream. Despite being called a cream puff, the pastry dough is more like choux pastry with a firmer texture, lacking the flakiness of a traditional puff. The cream is simple, with an average level of sweetness.
▼Impressions▼
(February 2015) This in-store bakery is operated by Hokuyo Lucky, a local company that competes with larger supermarkets like Lucky and City in Hokkaido. Despite facing challenges in the Sapporo market, this Kikusui Motomachi store seems to be surviving due to its slightly removed location from direct competitors. Farine is present in just over half of the Lucky stores, offering simple and consistent flavors. While Lucky may be struggling, I hope Farine can also persevere and succeed.
