This is a tavern located in the heart of the downtown area of Asahikawa City. The location is convenient and easily accessible. I ordered a sashimi platter and beer, and the sashimi was fresh, with firm and delicious meat. They have a wide variety of drinks, making it perfect. I would like to continue using this place in the future.

I visit this restaurant once in the summer, once for a year-end party, and every time I am very satisfied with the quality exceeding the price. However, this time, it seems they were short-staffed. It was disappointing that the drinks took a while to arrive. But I guess it can't be helped now. The private rooms are spacious and it is convenient to have a smoking area for the many smokers in our group.

This is a restaurant located in the city center of Asahikawa. It has both a first and second floor, and can accommodate small to large groups for gatherings. I visited this place after seeing a great review of their salted mackerel by Mairebi-san, and I had to try it for myself! First, I ordered some sake. I got the Kikuzakura Ginjo for 500 yen, which was a bit dry for my taste but still enjoyable. I decided to go for the sashimi platter, but unfortunately, the salted mackerel was missing from the selection. It turned out the server was new, so I guess it couldn't be helped. The platter included tuna, amberjack, splendid alfonsino, botan shrimp, sea urchin & flounder, and angel prawn. We also tried the homemade cheese tofu for 500 yen, which had a fluffy texture and was delicious. The seared live octopus with matcha salt and basil sauce for 700 yen had a nice chewy texture. We also had the Senkin Kabutomushi for 900 yen, which had a fruity sweetness that I enjoyed. I found out that this place is related to the restaurant "Bekke," known for their delicious fresh mackerel. I'll definitely come back next time to try the salted mackerel for sure!

Today was my partner's birthday, so I chose our favorite restaurant. Surprisingly, the beer glasses have become cuter! They used to be more stylish, like tulip-shaped glasses, but now they are chubby and cute. I think they are cute in their own way. When looking at the menu, it seems to have more of a pub-like atmosphere now, with the manager's handwritten menu looking very elegant. And what a surprise to see that they now have Big Cheese Tofu on the menu! This used to be a complimentary dish and it was delicious, so it's great to see it on the menu now. We also ordered the "corn tofu" and the chef surprised us with smoked tofu as a complimentary dish, making it a tofu assortment. It goes without saying that everything was delicious. We also ordered a sashimi assortment and an appetizer assortment - it was a festival of assortments (laughs). The mackerel used for the closing mackerel dish was probably one of the best I've ever had in my life. We also ordered a big red snapper, which was huge and had an amazing oiliness. We could poke at it forever (laughs). And the chef surprised us with a serving of monkfish liver. It was incredibly delicious, to the point where my inability to express its deliciousness properly is frustrating. Once again, we enjoyed delicious food, fun conversations with the chef and manager, and left with a full stomach. Thank you for the meal. As a side note, I mentioned that I used to use their beer glasses in the past, and they ended up giving me two glasses as a gift (laughs). Thank you very much.

I went to eat the special plate only available on weekdays! This place has great cost-performance! Even though we said one plate is enough for two people in this upscale restaurant, we still ordered separate dishes like eel sushi, mackerel, and oysters. The eel sushi was the best! The most delicious eel I've ever had in my life! I want to eat like 5 plates of this (laughs). If I were to order 5 plates, they would probably say "Are we at a conveyor belt sushi place?" (laughs). We sat at the counter and enjoyed all-you-can-drink beer, and the manager brought us refills as soon as our glasses were empty. It was quite crowded, but this service was amazing! Everything I ate was delicious as always. While watching the chefs' professional skills, the sake tasted even better. Thank you for the delicious meal. On a side note, I had a large serving of curry before leaving, so I couldn't eat much today, which is a shame.

I made a reservation at the counter the day before and when I sat down, the manager said, "Beer, right?" Correct (laughs). The manager has a handsome, Hollywood actor-like vibe and the service was top-notch. Along with the beer, we were served an appetizer of delicious char siu, scallops, and some kind of beans (laughs). The char siu was the winner, so tasty! The colorful vegetables with soy carpaccio were beautifully presented. The abalone sauté came with soy sauce, salt, and olive oil for dipping. There was also a green vegetable that I didn't recognize, which turned out to be French mountain vegetable called "asparagus soba-ju". The yuzu pepper flavored pasta was another winner, I could eat a mountain of it (laughs). The main meat dish was delicious, and the sauce was amazing! The miso-flavored burdock root was also fantastic. The combination of firefly squid, sakura mochi, root vegetables, seafood, and traditional Japanese sweets was unusual but showed great creativity. The dessert of black tea chiffon cake was something I don't usually eat, but it was a nice way to end the meal. I ended up drinking beer, wine, and even sake because everything was so delicious (laughs). Thank you for the feast!

I stumbled upon this restaurant while excavating (lol). The atmosphere of the place was nice and the staff were polite and friendly. Each dish was explained to us, but I left it up to them to choose for us. They had a variety of wines that complemented the dishes well. Looking back, I only have good memories of delicious food, and I would like to revisit the restaurant if I have the chance.

I've been to this favorite restaurant a few times. I love sitting at the open counter where I can watch the chefs at work. This time, I tried a menu item called the "Dokkan Plate." It was a huge portion, but the food was delicious and each dish was of high quality. The presentation was also impressive, and it went really well with drinks. I highly recommend it!

The course with all-you-can-drink option starts from 3,500 yen. This time, we chose the 4,000 yen course, and we were happy that we could get our drinks refilled promptly. The private rooms were nice, and the staff's service was good. Considering the price, we were completely satisfied. If you have a small group, sitting at the counter is also a good option. It's rare to see an open kitchen in Asahikawa. I think this place is more geared towards women.

In the center of Asahikawa city, more towards the business district than Sunrock Street, there is a hotel called Hotel Kanda that I was worried about whether they were doing well. In front of the hotel, there is a small building on the first floor with a stylish white facade that stands out, so I was familiar with it. I was looking to set up a gathering, but it was during the Obon holiday season and many restaurants were closed, plus families were traveling back home, so it was difficult to make a reservation. After calling a few places to check, I ended up choosing this place. I wanted a private room and to eat something delicious within a budget of around 5,000 yen, so I inquired about the options. The staff recommended their course menu, mentioning that they put a lot of effort into the appetizers, which have been well received. So, I decided to go with the course menu. When I actually visited the restaurant, the food was indeed impressive. For 5,000 yen including all-you-can-drink, the dishes exceeded my expectations. The appetizers were beautifully arranged on colorful plates with various delicacies and snacks, adding a touch of luxury with decorative cords. It felt like dining at a high-end restaurant. The head chef personally brought out important dishes, and I greeted him. It turns out he used to work as a chef at a famous ryotei in Asahikawa, and after working in western Japan for a while, he returned and is now excelling at this restaurant. The variety of dishes was decent, and the sashimi was quite good for the price. While it may not be top-tier ingredients, the chef's skills made a difference. The main dish was a beautifully presented sea bream dish, and the chef skillfully deboned the fish, impressing everyone. However, not everyone was comfortable eating fish with bones. The braised pork belly and fried rice that followed were devoured by everyone, but I only tasted them briefly. The dessert was a self-baked Earl Grey chiffon cake, and the chef proudly explained the process. Overall, everyone enjoyed the meal, but the only downside was the slow drink service. Despite being part of the all-you-can-drink option, the wait for refills was too long, which was disappointing. Nevertheless, I am grateful to the chef for the delicious meal. Thank you for the meal.

The interior of the restaurant used to be a bank or a jewelry store, so it has a luxurious feel. The creative dishes that make good use of local ingredients are very delicious. The seafood is excellent, and the fried potatoes in the photo had a unique texture that I had never experienced before.

I visited in late March and hadn't decided on a course or individual items, but after browsing the menu extensively, I ended up choosing the 3500 yen course with a 1500 yen all-you-can-drink option. The staff kindly accommodated my decision. The restaurant has an open kitchen counter, so I enjoyed a beer while watching the kitchen and waiting for the food. I forgot to take a picture of the appetizer, but the colorful and exciting first course, followed by the appetizers and carpaccio, were delicious. I can't remember the exact name of the blowfish dish we had, but it was tasty. I left the restaurant feeling very full. The only downside was that the drink options for the all-you-can-drink were limited, so it would be nice to have more variety. They also offer dessert plates as a surprise, which I saw being served to two other groups that day. It might be worth ordering for special occasions. Thank you for the meal!

This is a recently opened restaurant. I only took a quick glance, but there is an open kitchen in front of the counter. It looks stylish. I was led to the back of the restaurant and into a room with a heavy vault door. The building used to be a jewelry store, then a bank. This time, I tried the course with all-you-can-drink option. I only had a budget of 6000 yen, but I asked if I could pay 7000 yen. They said, "We confidently deliver a concept of Japanese heart and Western talent." It's like Japanese-French cuisine. I don't have much experience in French cuisine (laughs). It was delicious, but I couldn't really tell what was Japanese about it. The drink options for all-you-can-drink were limited. It felt a bit lacking.

I asked Mr. Mutsuki, who eats French cuisine with chopsticks, at a gathering. It seems to be a style that was popular in the city about 10 years ago! The interior has a counter and private rooms, making it convenient to use. This time, we dined in a private room. As for the food, it feels more like a creative izakaya than French cuisine. When you go to eat French cuisine, you might feel a bit disappointed... like me! haha We had a course meal this time, but there was nothing particularly memorable. The meat was too rare, almost raw, so I left it uneaten... The service was not what I expected from a French restaurant, but that's my fault for expecting it... It's more like an izakaya, right? (^_^;) I don't think I will visit again!
