I had lunch at El Appetit, a long-established Western-style restaurant located along the coast of Yunokawa. The atmosphere is great because it's so close to the sea. The restaurant is run by an elderly couple and the interior is spacious with many table seats. The pasta menu is quite extensive, with a variety of options including curry and gratin. I ordered the beef belly and wood mushroom stroganoff-style pasta. It was a unique and delicious pasta dish. The demi-glace sauce, typical of a long-established restaurant, was rich and tasty. It paired well with the pasta. The portion size was also quite generous. I sprinkled some powdered cheese on top halfway through for a different flavor. It was a satisfying meal.

I visited a restaurant near the Yuyukawa Tropical Botanical Garden where an elderly couple was running the place for the first time. I ordered the Pasta Pescatore set, which cost a total of 1550 yen. Among the lunch options, I believe the most cost-effective choice is the Japanese-style roast beef bowl.

I looked at "Tabelog" and the restaurant is bright and has a good atmosphere. When I entered, about half of the tables were occupied. I ordered the hamburger set. The pasta that other customers ordered also looked delicious. The hamburger was homemade and tender, with just the right amount of sauce (not too salty). The cost performance is a bit low, but if you are staying near Yunokawa and want to eat Western food, it's a good option.

I wanted to check out a magazine about Hakodate at this shop. It is located close to the Yunokawa hot spring area, and also near the Hakodate Botanical Garden. The magazine I was looking at was from a few years ago, so the exterior looked slightly different. The interior of the shop is of decent size with enough table space. There are large windows, and even though the shop is close to the sea, the sunlight is very good, so they always have sunshades up. The menu includes curry, pilaf, and some seafood dishes, but pasta is the main focus with a wide variety. Since it was my first visit, I ordered the classic Peperoncino, and my wife ordered the Pescaatore. The Peperoncino here had a boiled garlic-like taste, with a hint of butter flavor, and the soup portion was slightly larger than usual, giving it a unique taste compared to other Peperoncinos I've had before. The garlic flavor was subtle, maybe because they didn't sauté the garlic in olive oil, but it was delicious in its own way. The Pescaatore had a good amount of seafood, with the standout being the large scallops. The soup was also plentiful, with a rich seafood broth that made it very tasty. The noodles were cooked perfectly al dente. The husband and wife who run the shop were friendly, and the wife was particularly humble and friendly towards the customers. I'm already thinking about what to try next time.

This is a shop located right in front of Yunokawa Beach. The shop doesn't have any particular features, and I don't have good memories of it from when I went last year. I went for lunch, but I don't remember there being a lunch menu. I had the hamburger at that time. My companion had tomato and shrimp pasta, I think. I don't remember the hamburger or pasta being particularly delicious. If it was good, I should remember it. I do remember that the tomato sauce on the pasta was not very good (it seemed like a pre-made sauce). And above all, the cost-performance ratio was poor. The pasta alone cost over 1,000 yen. With that price, I could have just gone to a regular Italian restaurant.

The pasta was very delicious and well-prepared, exceeding my expectations. I would love to go back again. The photo is of the Genovese pasta. ♡

I visited El Apetit, which was recommended in a magazine, for a late-night meal near Hakodate Airport. The restaurant was spacious and run by a friendly couple, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I ordered a tomato and mozzarella salad, natto pasta, and a hamburger steak. The portions were generous, and the food was delicious. The natto pasta was surprisingly good with grated cheese and Tabasco. The hamburger steak was huge, so I had to take some home. Even late at night, the restaurant had regular customers coming in. I definitely want to go back and enjoy another meal there.

I visited this place quite a while ago, but I think I had the pork cutlet. The portion was huge (*´▽`*) and it was undeniably delicious. The menu is so extensive that it's hard to decide what to order. The ladies at the table next to us advised that we should definitely try the course next time. Oh my goodness, the dessert was amazing too! They showed it to us like, "Look at this!" It's definitely something I would recommend to strangers because of how fulfilling it is. The service is fantastic, and most importantly, the warmth of the couple running the restaurant shines through the entire place. It leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy inside.
