Inside the shop, there is a refrigerator specifically for sparkling wines (with chilled glasses) and a wine cellar. I tried the recommended white and red wines by the glass today. I went to Wine Bar and Cafe Mariage de Vin for the first time! Today's second stop, let's try a wine bar. I happened to pass by and decided to go in. The place is a bit dark since it's a bar. There is only one owner behind the counter. The name of the place includes both bar and cafe. I ordered today's wine and a cola. The owner asked for my wine preferences and recommended a full-bodied one, which I agreed to. We made a toast with red wine. It was delicious, with a strong flavor. For food, I chose cheese. I didn't take a picture because it was too blurry. We were served an appetizer that looked fancy, with meat, fried food, and vegetables. A chocolate assortment also arrived. Another person joined me at this point. I decided to be bold and ordered a banana juice, which was very sweet. The owner was quite busy since he was alone, so it might take some time when it's crowded. I would like to come back when it's not busy to enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere. After an Italian girls' night out, I invited a friend to Wine Bar & Cafe Mariague de Vin. I've tried to visit this place many times since last year, but it's always been too crowded to get in (sweat). This time, after the first round was over, at 10pm, the place was empty except for us (later, 2 groups arrived and it got crowded). After having one glass of bubbly and two glasses of red wine, I asked for a "heavier red" in a glass and got La Closerie de Camensac. It was around 972 yen per glass? It's a "second" wine from the 5th classified growth winery "Camensac" in Bordeaux. It has a deep and long finish with flavors of fruit and a hint of oak. It was easy to drink with just the right amount of tannins, not too light but quite satisfying (my impression while drinking, so take it with a grain of salt). The alcohol order came with a charge and snacks (800 yen, tax included, tax not specified). I was already full, but I tried some of the gratin, which I think would have been tastier if it had been reheated a bit more. The basil on the vegetables had a commercial taste, but it wasn't bad. The food and dessert menus have a wide selection, making it a good choice for a first round, second round, or to finish the night. They are planning to be open on Sundays, which could be a handy option for a quiet Sunday night in Obihiro. When I visited, it was mentioned that on Fridays and Saturdays, the chef from Tobachi is helping out, so you can choose wines with the sommelier owner's advice.
