Hello, Gusuyoo! Chuu Gamabira. I took a break and went out to the city, so I stopped by at Mira-san Okinawa. I bought Kumejima miso and black sugar there. The black sugar is mainly used for cooking and is deliciously sweet, sourced from Taketomi Island. The Kumejima miso is for moro-kyu (tofu) and has a slightly red color and tofu-like flavor. It goes well with sake or shochu. I also tried ginger drink, turmeric tea, and bitter melon tea, all of which seemed good for the body. The ginger drink was the most delicious. The service was great, and I was able to stay hydrated with the tea samples. ☆☆☆ Coming Soon ☆☆☆ Maybe I'll buy the turmeric tea next time?

【Takeout】Okinawa product exhibition at Sapporo Station. It is located near the food court on the basement floor of ESTA, a commercial facility directly connected to Sapporo Station, but the location may be a bit confusing. It is located on the basement 1st floor, and can be reached by taking the escalator near Can Do and going up to the basement 1st floor, roughly in front of you. Visited again on 2/22/2014 after seeing Tom's review of Okinawa and Okinawa products. Suddenly realized, "I've been acting strange lately!" (in a hard-boiled tone) "This season calls for citrus fruits," so I bought a bag of Tankan, the third son of Mogutan's favorite citrus quartet, with 4 pieces remaining out of 3 bags (sweating). Although the size is about the same as a mandarin orange, the outer skin has some blackish dirt-like spots and the skin is tough. After peeling off the orange coat with resistance, inside is orange (^ ^). I also eat the white skin, but it's not thin. I haven't eaten a ripe one yet, so how does it taste? The Tankan that traveled all the way to Sapporo (??) has less sweetness than a mandarin orange, with acidity and bitterness, giving a wild impression. This year, I also got kinkan, buntan, and late white pomelo, so I'm in a good mood. It motivates me to study for exams (^^).

Hello~♪o(^o^)o* * * In February 2014, I visited an antenna shop in Sapporo Station, Esta Underground. It's been here for quite some time, and I found it to be a hidden gem. The shop used to offer samples of turmeric tea, but I found it to have an old-fashioned taste. The staff, with a tropical accent, mentioned being from Okinawa. The shop had sea grapes and various items on sale. They even had a 100 yen corner with treats like chin-suko for 105 yen. While nothing beats a visit to a specialized Okinawan soba shop, the convenience of a set meal here was tempting. I tried some traditional Okinawan senbei and sand liver jerky, which had a unique, toothsome texture and rich flavor. Overall, it was a pleasant experience at this antenna shop. Enjoy your meal!
