I arrived just before lunchtime, so it was smooth. I ordered the pork miso soba. The soba was average, and the soup lacked a strong flavor. Overall, it was a typical soba restaurant with average cost performance. It was a bit disappointing that they only accepted cash through a ticket machine.

It has a standing-eating vibe, but it's a delicious soba restaurant. I usually order the pork miso soba, but today I tried a different menu. It's spicy but goes well with soba. There's a lot of pork hidden in the curry. They even gave me a paper apron without me having to say anything. During lunchtime, the restaurant is crowded with salarymen.

I happened to pass by a soba restaurant and decided to order the zaru soba. It had a firm texture and was enjoyable even without any toppings. It was neither cheap nor overly fancy, just the right balance that I personally liked. The simple operation without any waste was also appealing, with ticket vending system and self-serve condiments like grated radish and sansho pepper clearly labeled. They didn't have table seating to increase turnover, but the counter was spacious enough to feel comfortable. Everything was well thought out in its simplicity. I would definitely like to visit again!

A soba specialty restaurant on the basement floor of Shikishima Building. It's directly connected to Chikaho, but you can't see the store from Chikaho, and there are no signs for the store, so it seems like only regular customers such as office workers in the building use it. I arrived at 11:30 on a weekday. One customer was already there and three more came in after me. The interior is small, with only counter seats. There used to be a different store here before, but I can't remember what it was. I ordered the egg and soba (720 yen) from the ticket machine and handed it to the cute waitress. The kitchen staff also seemed young. I wanted to order the tempura soba as usual, but there was no button for it on the machine. They must not be making tempura today. The dish arrived shortly. The transparent noodles were too soft for my liking. Maybe they boiled them too long? The portion size was good. The green onions were served on a separate plate, maybe to accommodate customers who don't like them or have meetings after eating. The taste was lacking in saltiness and the broth was weak. Not just the soba, but they need to put in more effort to stand out. There are cheaper standing soba and hand-made soba restaurants nearby. The Mitsuba was good though. Thank you for the meal.

Without realizing it, I found that "Kiri no Shita" had opened in the Shikishima Building. It used to be a soba restaurant, right? I visited because there were attractive menus posted at the entrance.
- Tipsy Set 1,480 yen
One drink, three appetizers, and soba as the finishing touch. I was happy to see that there were three appetizers. The soba at the end was served with nori on top, which surprised me because I didn't read the menu carefully. It's my own mistake, and it's quite a generous portion, so I have no complaints. The dipping sauce had a strong dashi flavor. I chose a bottled beer, but it turned out to be a small bottle. It's rare for a restaurant to serve beer in small bottles, so I had assumed it was a medium-sized bottle, but it was clearly written on the menu (>_<)
Overall, it's a set for those who like to eat heartily. I wish they had a menu for those who are not like that (more focused on drinking). Maybe with two drinks and two appetizers. Thank you for the meal (^o^)

Today, I had some errands in the evening and stopped by the restaurant under the Kinoshita Building on the way back for dinner. This place used to be a different soba restaurant before, but I can't remember the name. I think they used to serve soba with a lot of mizuna on top, which was a bit of a hassle. The atmosphere inside is quite traditional and calming, with the same system of paying in advance at the ticket machine outside.
At first, I was going to order the duck soba, but then I unexpectedly found the "kakitama tsukesoba" and decided to try it. Ever since trying the egg-topped soba at Kimura in Otaru, I've been looking for something similar. When I first tried it, I was genuinely impressed. The soba noodles are a bit thicker and have a strong texture. The egg in the dipping sauce was a bit firm, but it added a rich flavor when mixed with the soba. The tempura bits in the sauce were a nice touch, but towards the end, they became a bit oily and some of them were too big and had gotten soggy. Personally, I think it would be better to serve them separately so that people can add them as needed.

It's been a while since I went to work, so I decided to explore a new place ☺︎ It's a restaurant located on B1F of Shikishima Building, directly connected to Chikaho. There used to be a soba restaurant here before, but now there is a new soba restaurant. The Moon-viewing Natto Soba with burdock tempura, small natto, egg, cucumber, grated daikon, and seaweed was a satisfying bowl. You can add as much chopped green onions and wasabi as you like. The soba noodles had a nice texture and the balance between the ingredients and soba was good. The pricing seems to be based on the location. It's a good option when you have limited time for a meal but really want to have soba. Thank you for the meal.

It was a sudden hospitalization, but I was discharged suddenly about three weeks ago. This hospitalization was supposed to be short-term, about a month, but I was discharged after about 20 days. However, even after discharge, I have been going to the hospital almost every weekday. I am grateful for the many likes on the review posts during my hospitalization. Your strong support for my recovery has been very encouraging. I have a hospitalization scheduled for the end of the year, but due to the current situation with COVID-19, my appointments have been postponed to April or later. Thank you for your continued support. [February 2021] "Soba Restaurant Kirino Shita - Shikishima Building Branch" opened on January 18, 2021. "Kirino Shita" is the third branch following the "Sapporo Esta Branch" and "Motomachi Branch". At both branches, we enjoyed set meals typical of a town soba restaurant. I visited for the first time with my usual companion for lunch on a weekday. This restaurant is located in the Odori area of Sapporo's Chuo Ward, in the underground dining area of the Shikishima Building. Please check the exact location of the restaurant on Tabelog. I visited in the afternoon around 1:00 pm on a weekday. The location of the restaurant used to be where "Sapporo Gatsuke Soba" was. There is a ticket machine at the entrance of the restaurant. I ordered two "Curry Tsukemen" instead of a set meal. The interior of the restaurant consists of only counter seats. There were three customers in front of me and three customers behind me. They did not have the acrylic panels that are commonly seen recently. I sat at a high chair at the counter, away from other customers. After waiting for 6 minutes, the two "Curry Tsukemen" were served. - Curry Tsukemen Cold soba with a slightly green tint. Slightly thin and soft curry dipping sauce. Hot and spicy, with a high viscosity that coats the soba well. Ingredients include pork, bell pepper, shredded burdock, green onions, and fried egg. Price: 850 yen (tax included) The soba is slightly thin with a greenish tint. It goes well with the strong curry dipping sauce. Personally, I like this "Curry Tsukemen". The hot and spicy taste is very good. The texture of the burdock adds a nice accent. The soba is different from the more refined soba at the "Sapporo Esta Branch" and "Motomachi Branch". It feels like a type of soba that is suited for underground dining areas in urban areas. Next time, I might try the "Duck Soup Tsukemen". It was delicious, thank you.

I went to a certain restaurant to eat soba, but they only offer it on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, and today was their day off. So I ended up coming to this restaurant instead. There is a ticket machine next to the entrance. Since I already knew what I wanted to eat before my visit, I bought a ticket for the "Spicy Curry Soba for 850 yen." They offer a variety of cold soba, hot soba, dipping soba, soba with mini rice bowl sets, mini soba with mini rice bowl sets, mini soba with mini donburi sets, mini donburi with rice sets, and toppings, so I recommend deciding on your order by looking at the menu before buying a ticket. The interior of the restaurant consists of only counter seats (with a place to store your belongings). There are no acrylic dividers between the seats. The service was a bit slow. The toppings included pork belly, burdock root, bell pepper, and fried tempura bits (no onions). The curry had a thick consistency and was spicy and delicious. The burdock root and tempura bits added good flavors. The soba noodles were thin and cooked soft. In fact, they were quite soft, almost breaking when held at the end. It was a bit disappointing considering how tasty the curry was. Perhaps I should have ordered the Spicy Curry Tsukemen instead. (2021.02)

- Soba and Mini Pork Bowl (cold), 1,000 yen
The neatly cut soba is fresh and flavorful, surprising me in a good way since I didn't have high expectations! The mini pork bowl also tastes delicious, with the sweetness of the fat and sauce blending nicely. I felt like there was a bit too much rice compared to the meat, but the texture was good and satisfying. The combination is just right for lunch! Eating the rich pork bowl followed by the refreshing soba left me feeling full and completely satisfied. Thank you for the meal!

Fukushima Building's underground food floor. A soba restaurant near the elevator. There is a ticket machine outside the entrance. Personally, I think it's nice that you can take your time to choose! The menu is divided by color, with options for hot, cold, and rice bowls, making it easy to understand. The soba and rice bowl set comes with beef, pork, or chicken soboro. I had the soba and mini pork bowl for 1000 yen. The menu is easy to understand with a display window next to it. The counter seats face different directions, making it convenient for solo diners in an office building. The soba broth had a sharp bonito flavor. The noodles were perfectly cold, at a good temperature, with a nice firmness and draining. Green onions and wasabi were added from the start. The pork looked tough but tasted delicious. It had been a while since I last ate at a restaurant with this name. The last time was probably at Sogo... I had avoided it since then. It was my first time eating here in a long time, and while the basic taste may not have changed much, I think the meticulous preparation made a difference. It was fine. The staff were friendly and provided attentive service. I plan to go back to try the hot soba. Thank you for the meal!

This is a new soba restaurant located in the basement of Shikishima Building. It used to be a different soba restaurant, but the direction is completely different now. "Kiri no Shita" is a soba restaurant that can also be found in Estas. I thought it was a standing soba restaurant, but there are chairs at every seat. It is a ticket vending system, but the staff will bring the food to you. I ordered the duck soup soba for 950 yen with a large serving for an additional 150 yen. The dipping sauce has a duck broth flavor, and the soba itself tastes delicious. I thought it was a bit pricey, but it came with duck meat, leeks, burdock, mushrooms, and yuzu, so it was quite filling. It's easy to eat, but it's still authentic soba.

The curry tsukemen at this restaurant on Tabelog sounded delicious, and since it was close to my hotel, I decided to try it out. I was a bit disappointed that there were no condiments available, but the soba noodles were so delicious that it made up for it. I ended up just eating the soba noodles on their own, and finished off the meal with soba broth and curry soup. I will definitely come back to eat here again when I visit Sapporo.
