This is JR Sapporo Station. Everyone is walking around with their rolling suitcases. Inside the ticket gate, there is chaos due to water leakage from the ceiling. Two years ago in January, there was also water leakage from the ceiling, causing kiosks and food shops to close. Even now, one kiosk is closed due to water leakage at Sapporo Station... well, this station opened around 1988, so (laughs). Now heading to Susukino Station on the subway. The goal is to eat a bacon and egg bowl (laughs). The street in front of Susukino area is filled with ice sculptures, and the road is crowded with no vehicle restrictions, making it impossible for people to get close to the ice sculptures. Walking two blocks west from the street in front of the station, you'll see Jumbo 1000 parking lot, and it's just a little further south across the small street. I arrived at Jumbo 1000 at 11:11. The interior of the restaurant is compact, bright, and clean, with 3 two-seat tables and 5 counter seats. The lone female waitress asked me to disinfect my hands with alcohol. I ordered the "Bacon and Egg Bowl for 800 yen." It seems like a simple dish, but it arrived in about 9 minutes. I noticed while waiting that today, Monday, there is a special service with three eggs (laughs). It feels like a good deal. However, the large portion and refill service seem to have been suspended... probably due to the current situation? The appearance may look a bit junky, but you can see three soft-boiled sunny-side-up eggs with plenty of bacon and shredded cabbage. The seasoning with soy sauce dressing is simple with butter, salt, and pepper, but the butter adds a subtle richness and tastes delicious (laughs). The miso soup, reheated from a premade batch, is... well, just tasty. Oh, this is definitely the kind of dish that makes you want to have extra rice (laughs). When I looked it up later, I found out that the "Tamago Niko AGAIN 2022 Executive Committee" in Japan, with the cooperation of various egg-related organizations, held the "National Tamagoyaki Bowl Grand Prix" from April 28 to July 31, 2022, on a special website. The grand prize was announced on August 31, 2022, and although this place's Bacon and Egg Bowl did not win the national grand prize, it was selected as the "Local Grand Prize" for the Hokkaido and Tohoku regions. Oh, I love both dishes personally. I always eat the double egg sausage set meal from a nationwide chain, put the sunny-side-up eggs on the rice, pour a lot of amino acid-rich red panda sauce that I bring in, and enjoy my own sunny-side-up egg bowl. But I don't need that here!! The seasoning with soy sauce and butter is just perfect (laughs). I'll have to come back again. Thank you for the meal.
