During a business trip, I was forced to take a break and found myself in Otaru with nothing to do. I decided to eat sushi and went into a restaurant to sit down and eat. The inside of the restaurant was clean and had a different atmosphere from the surrounding buildings. Since it was still early, I had the daily seafood bowl first. It was a modest size for a Hokkaido restaurant, but the sashimi was fresh and plentiful. I quickly finished it and then ordered tempura. The shrimp and eel were delicious. I ended up feeling stuffed from eating too much oily food during the day. It was a relaxing holiday, even though most of the tourist spots in Otaru were closed on the weekend, probably due to the coronavirus. Thank you for being open.

I went to meet a friend in Otaru ヾ(*・ω・)ノ and found a takeout shop near Otaru Station because I didn't have much time. It was perfect for my friend who loves seafood♪ The interior was stylish and used a lot of wood, creating a very calming atmosphere ( o´ェ`o). My friend ordered a seafood bowl. I actually planned to order a seafood bowl too, but since the Day of the Ox was approaching and I was surprised that I could eat eel from Hamanako at this price, I decided to have an eel bowl instead (((o(*゚∀゚*)o))). I also ordered a special dish✨ Eel is a luxury item that I rarely eat, but I couldn't resist the fluffy and tender eel with my favorite sweet and salty sauce mixed with rice. It was so delicious and made me feel so happy (〃´ω`〃) Next time, I want to eat at the restaurant. ⭐

In May 2020, I visited a new sushi and seafood bowl restaurant called "Otaru Fudou" that opened in a building near Otaru Station, on the way to Sankaku Market. The interior of the restaurant is a narrow space with a counter and table seating, and from the window counter seats, you can overlook Otaru Station. The owner used to work in a different field for about 10 years before opening this restaurant, and previously operated similar restaurants near the Merhen intersection in the city under different names. The menu mainly focuses on seafood bowls and sushi, and I decided to try the seafood tempura bowl when I saw it on the menu. The seafood tempura bowl included shrimp (3 pieces), snow crab meat, squid, scallop, organic salmon, eggplant, and green pepper. The tempura was crispy and the organic salmon was particularly flavorful. The rice was freshly cooked and had a good texture, and the sauce was elegant. I also added a sushi sampler with 6 pieces, which included tuna, mackerel, scallop, spear squid, sea urchin, and salmon roe. The sushi was fresh and delicious, with the rice having a mild vinegar taste and a soft texture. Overall, I was impressed by the restaurant's efforts in terms of pricing and quality of ingredients, and I hope it stands out from other seafood bowl restaurants in Sankaku Market.

The portion size was about half of what I imagined, but considering the price, it's understandable. To be honest, it gave off a somewhat suspicious vibe.
