I made a reservation for a course meal and visited. The course included an ¥8800 appetizer platter, soup, yakisoba (I think I added this), steak, and garlic rice. Since it was quite an expensive course at ¥8800, I expected the meat to have marbling and good quality fat; however, I’m not a fan of fat, so I would like to try the steak from the next lower-priced course. The lady serving was very pleasant.

The taste is truly satisfying, just as the restaurant name suggests. It's just a short walk from Ueno Hirokoji Station A3. We started with seasonal ingredients: firefly squid mixed with raw seaweed, beef tataki, and tofu. Next, we enjoyed oyster butter and sautéed whelk. Everyone was raving about the food. We paired it with the famous Daishichi sake from Nihonmatsu, Fukushima, which made the drinks really enjoyable. The wagyu steak was a delight paired with a full-bodied red wine, providing a blissful experience. The yakitori had the perfect doneness, with crispy skin and juicy meat. We also had seafood yakisoba and garlic rice. Each dish was incredibly delicious and satisfying. I definitely want to go back!

Today, I reunited with a friend I shared meals with 37 years ago. We enjoyed dishes we hadn't had in a long time: sashimi, Nitsuke pork, grilled chicken thighs on a hot plate, and thinly sliced Wagyu beef. We also indulged in a secret menu item, grilled horumon (beef small intestines), and brought in some gyoza (sorry for the trouble!). I am completely satisfied. I may have overindulged on sake today, and the bill was a bit high, but it was worth it!

This was my first visit. I had already made a reservation over the phone the day before. The restaurant is located on the second floor. We had a table for two and ordered drinks while enjoying a course menu. We indulged in seasonal ingredients and savored a variety of flavors, making for a meaningful time. I came again! With the change of the month, the appetizers on the course have changed. The simmered anago (conger eel) and nanohana (rape blossoms) in jelly were not only beautiful to look at but also delicious. The steak was consistently delicious as always. The flavor of the meat was different, and the doneness was perfect. Thank you for the wonderful meal today. I drank a lot of sake, so it was a bit pricey, but I was very satisfied.

I visited a friend's wedding anniversary celebration today and enjoyed a delicious meal. For the appetizer, we had cod roe and a dish that resembled yukke. Instead of soup, we had chawanmushi, which was hot and tasty. We had our usual cream cheese grilled with miso and seafood yakisoba (this one is a must), followed by fried potatoes, and an abalone steak from the restaurant as a celebratory gift (it was incredibly delicious!). This was followed by a black wagyu steak that was consistently delicious. Lastly, we had garlic rice and for dessert, we tried Mineoka tofu. It was my first time tasting Mineoka tofu, and I found its smooth texture and gentle sweetness to be delightful. Today, I also enjoyed two parts of Dassai sake.

I visited again after last week, and this time I really enjoyed my meal! The appetizers were fantastic. Everything was delicious, but the roast beef was the best! The soup was also tasty, and the steak was amazing. For the à la carte dish, I had yakisoba with seafood and sauce. The seafood was especially delicious! I can't forget to mention the grilled cream cheese marinated in miso. It was delightful! You should definitely give it a try!
