I went to a karaoke room that offers a single drink option, and it can accommodate about 26 people. It was spacious and clean, without any smell of smoke. The mirror ball added a nice touch to the atmosphere. We sang for about 2 hours, and I focused on trying the strawberry milkshake during the first half. The milkshake wasn't too sweet, but unfortunately, the strawberry flavor was lacking. It was light and easy to drink, but I felt a bit greasy afterwards, so I had some oolong tea. I'm not sure if they allow outside food, but we snacked on some potato chips. JR Sapporo Station South Exit area has a chain store called "Manekineko" where you can order drinks for karaoke rooms. It's more cost-effective to go for the all-you-can-drink option. It is located on the second and third floors near the intersection of Susukino River and Route 5, close to the Vegas Vegas Sapporo store. I visited for the first time in February 2014. I was called by a former colleague to practice karaoke, even though I was feeling a bit sick. I foolishly went to Sapporo Station. After having lunch at a hotel buffet, we moved to the karaoke place. You have to climb an escalator together with the pachinko Vegas Vegas entrance, so there was cigarette smoke. I left the room and drink choices to my companion as I didn't know much about the karaoke system. I ordered a peach cocktail, and then we started singing. I ended up singing more than my companion. By the time we left, I had lost my voice from singing so much. The drinks were easy to drink, mainly cocktails, and were served within 1-3 minutes of ordering. We sang for about 4-5 hours, and I ended up getting even sicker. I guess men are just foolish like that.
